What to Expect

You will visit Huayllafara, in Lamay, in the Sacred Valley, Cusco. It is a community of 40 families. The main activities are agriculture and animal rearing, generally the adults are in charge of the agriculture, and the children of the rearing work. The people of this community work with different crops, depending on the season, because their agriculture is directly related to astrology.
By participating in this activity you are taking part in our social project. You will be helping rural communities in Cusco keep their traditions alive, making them feel proud of themselves, and thereby preserving their cultural identity.
Along with that, we make sure that the income of these activities gets fairly distributed among the local villagers. Our goal is to generate job opportunities in these communities and create sustainable livelihoods.
