Itinerary
- 1Start of the tour: 5:00 am --- End of the Tour 6:00 p.m. It is an impressive day of hiking in the Cordillera Vilcanota, on a route we call "La Montaña de Colores" which is very close to the highest and sacred mountain in the south of Peru called the Ausangate (6,377mts). This "Apu" bearer of life is the Guardian of one of the most pristine ecosystems in the world. Thus, our walk will be accompanied by snow-capped peaks, glaciers, herds of llamas and alpacas. This hike offers a selection of wildlife and very impressive landscapes. This will probably be one of the best things you will see in your visit to Peru.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- DaanvdB0 contributionsAmazing less touristic day trip around CuscoWe went with our guide Liz from Cusco to the Inka bridge. When booking we were a bit hesitant, because the drive was far. But wauw, what a beautiful day trip it was. The views were amazing and because we were only with our family, we could take time to enjoy the scenery. Liz made us feel very at home and took her time explaining. Crossing the bridge was an adventure and learning how it was made was very fun and educational. We could even try it ourselves. It’s harder than it looks! The lagunes were beautiful to witness. You drive past a few with this tour and you have time to take some pictures while stopping on the side of the road. If you are looking for a less touristic trip around Cusco, this is definitely a good choice. It shows you all the beautiful landscapes. The tour was fully in English and very easy to follow.Written October 9, 2024
- SudhaKrishnan990 contributionsA Wonderful experience in peruLast year we had used Tayra tours for two tours - one in lake titicaca and another the queswachaka Bridge tour. Both tours were conducted professionally . Pabel was our driver for the rope bridge tour . Ge is experienced and went out of the way to make the trip a memorable one . We definitely will use Tayra tours when we visit peru again .Written April 18, 2023
- Tatiana R0 contributionsAwesome experience in Cusco and Machupicchu with Tyra Tours!Tyra Tours made our trip to Cusco and Machupicchu an unforgettable learning experience! We say "learning", because all the tour guides were so knowledgeable and kindly answered all our questions. The tour guides were fluent in English, they were so nice to take lots of pictures of our family at each of the sites. They were right on time to pick up/drop us from/to the airport and all the activities! thank you so much for making our trip to Cusco/Machupicchu one of the most amazing trips of our lives! - natashat6120 contributionsNice Service but...We did the city ruins and the Maras and Moray. City tour was fine but i found it a little bit rushed, wished we had more time to explore. As for Maras and Moray, the tour was great with explanations and the guide gave us enough time to walk around and take photos. The down side was that they dropped us very far away from Plaza de Armas, even though the itinerary said that the drop off will be at the plaza.Written May 29, 2019
- caroleeo0 contributionsGreat Service, Safe and Well Cared ForWe met Richard through our Hotel Pension Alemana. He met with us upon arrival and took care of all transportation and arrangements needed for our trip to Machu Picchu. He was very patient with an insecure, older couple and continued to take care of us. We toured the Sacred Valley also and everything was first class. Do not hesitate to make your arrangements through Richard.Written March 16, 2017

I took all the tours in Cusco and Lima with Tayra Yours. The service was exceptional! Very organized, helpful, very clear with information and answered all the doubts I had (which were not few!). The agency has people who are studying Portuguese and make a point of speaking to us in our language, which I found to be a differentiator in the service. The guides are all very passionate about the tours, ready to answer questions and very fun too. It was a very pleasant few days in Peru and that was thanks to the agency! Thank you for the excellent work.

Everything was fine, the van picked us up on the hotel and we left for a good breakfast. The guide gave us a lot of information and we managed to climb the mountain. Tayra Tours always supported us and we had no problems! Totally recommended!
