The tour begins when we pick you up from your hotel, then in 15 minutes we reach the ranch where you can relax watching the beautiful landscape of the surroundings of Cusco, you will also see our horses walking free and happy in our property, before starting the tour we will choose a horse according to your experience and we will give you a little safety information, then we will go to the moon temple where we will visit and explain you about this magical sanctuary where the Incas celebrated rituals in honor of the moon. Then we will go to the mountain of Chacan, it is a place to enjoy, relax and learn more about our culture, when we reach the mountain of Chacan also known as "Devil's Balcony" we will take a rest time watching the city of Cusco from High and eating a small snack, we finally return to the ranch where we say goodbye and we will thank our horses for the magnificent experience they gave us, the transfer will be waiting for us to return to your hotel.

Make the time for this amazing afternoon (or morning) with Gabriel on his ranch, with his beautiful horses and mind-blowing views. I am not a rider, but absolutely loved these hours which were the highlight on my time in Cuzco.
The booking was super easy, Gabriel himself picked us up right on time from our Cuzco hotel and the cultural and historical lesson started right there in his car. He is as knowledgeable about the Inca culture as he is about the land around the farm. And about horses, and particularly the Peruvian breed on his farm.
We particularly loved how his horses are treated - in a very ethical way compared to the very poor state of some of the horses in the surrounding farms. Gabriel's horses are free to roam around the farm, and are saddled only when guests arrive. Other horses in neighbouring farms are put in pens, already saddled and waiting for "clients". This is not right.
We absolutely loved this activity and thoroughly encourage you to go for it, even if you do not have horse riding experience.

Wow! what a great tour. Gabriel is a very professional guide and business owners he is funny and a true horse lover.
We were picked up from our hotel inCusco, its about 20 minutes drive away.
The houses were well treated and in good shape. very relaxed to ride and happy to get going!
The tour itself was really informative and again Gabriel was able to explain much about the local history.
We had a great day and this complemented our hikes well.

Gabriel is incredibly passionate about his national history, the history of the local area and HORSES!
The entire tour, Gabriel displayed his extensive knowledge of the local area, history of the Incas and the history of Peru. Great guy to go to at the beginning of your time in Cusco.

Great combination of horse riding, cultural information, and nature viewing.
Guide and his assistants were great. Made sure that everyone was comfortable on the ride.
Horses look to be in great shape. They had bigger horses for bigger people (i.e 6'3" and 240lb).
Ranch was only 15min drive from Cusco center. Great way to spend the morning.

Gabriel runs a beautiful ranch and put together an excellent tour of the archaeological sites around Cusco. My guide Grimaldo was wonderful as well. Gabriel’s wife even met us halfway with a homemade lunch. You will visit beautiful spots inaccessible by car. I can’t imagine another way of seeing Cusco.

We contacted Gabriel the day before we wanted to do the tour and got a quick response, the following day we had a private tour for just my sister and me. The horses are well taken care of and perfectly trained.
The tour was 2 hours, including a visit to the moon temple.
The only downside for us was that we would have liked to gallop a little bit more, but overall we would really recommend this tour!

Barely any riding and when we did mostly walking until I asked to go faster, im saddened to write a review like this as they were lovely people and very knowledgeable but I feel like it was severely over priced.

I am so glad I chose to do the horseback riding tour with Gabriel. I grew up riding horses so I was excited to have the opportunity to do so in Cusco, but my boyfriend who I was traveling with was no familiar with horses at all. Gabriel is very well knowledged with horses and has a great group on his ranch. He is able to cater to all different types of riders and guests and ensures they are safe, happy and comfortable. We had a beautiful tour just the 3 of us. It was so interesting to learn from Gabriel about his family and the history of Cusco. If you are staying in Cusco for more than a day I would highly recommend you take the time to do a horseback tour with Gabriel. You will get views and sites that you are not able to see anywhere else and it felt like an exclusive, almost secret experience in the mountains. It truly did not feel like a tourist experience, rather a private horseback riding trip that is not availale to all. You avoid crowds and see sites on Gabriel's land that you could not see anywhere else. Gabriel and his brother are so kind and I wish them well moving forward.
