While visiting Peru, I knew I had to experience a Peruvian Paso Ranch since my father raised show Peruvians when I was growing up in Texas. I’ve always loved their smooth ride and unique gait, and Gabriel’s ranch did not disappoint. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Gabriel genuinely cares for his horses—not just as a business, but with real dedication. Unlike many tourist operations where horses are just saddled up waiting for the next rider, his horses are well cared for, well-trained, and incredibly well-behaved. He takes the time to nurture their natural spirit while maintaining the elegance and discipline of purebred Peruvian Pasos. The ride itself was fantastic, but what made it even more special was the cultural and historical insight Gabriel shared along the way. I learned so much about the Incas and the surrounding area, making the experience both fun and educational. And with 100 acres of stunning landscapes, his ranch is a breathtaking place to explore on horseback. Hands down, Gabriel’s ranch was my favorite part of Cusco. Being back in the saddle again on such incredible horses was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area—especially fellow horse lovers!

We took the trail with Gabriel (the third) himself. He explained to us that his family has owned this place for three generations (originally owned by Gabriel the first)! He did such a great job of explaining the history of the moon temple and other sites. The place is still family owned and you can tell they take amazing care of their horses. This is my favorite thing I’ve done in Cusco so far - I highly recommended this!! This is also suitable for all skill levels.

An amazing tour. Gabriel and his team are so great, and loved to answer our questions and tell us about the history of Cusco and the Inkas. Animals seemed very well cared for. Helmets provided. You get a great view of the mountains. The terrain is not just flat paths - sometimes a little bumpy but the horses are very calm. Good for beginners too. I recommend to anyone!

We did the temple of the moon riding tour yesterday and it was the best tour ever! Gabriel was so informative and friendly he made the experience absolutely incredible. The horses were so well behaved and the tour was stunning, we definitely would not have seen these ruins and landmarks without this tour. Recommend 5/5!!!!

This is a wonderful experience. Gabriel collected us from our hotel, it was a short drive to the ranch. We met our beautiful, calm, well kept horses. We had a fabulous ride through the breathtaking mountains, the scenery was spectacular, it was perfect. The horses were very well behaved. We went for a couple of short walks, away from the horses, to see beautiful Inca temples. We were also given a really cute little snack pack. This was an unforgettable morning for me. I highly recommend it !

Carrying and knowledgeable host who loves his horses and knows a lot about ancient history and traditions. I would love to repeat the trip and even participate in expended retreat next time I am in Peru!

I had a wonderful time on my tour with Gabriel. It was relaxing, informative and the views were stunning. I was the only one in my tour and the personalized experience was fantastic. The horses are very well cared for. I highly recommend doing this tour when visiting Cusco.

My father and I took a private tour with Gabriel himself. He is safety first, and a very excellent horseback riding guide. His property and the ride were absolutely stunning. May be the best horse ride ive ever done in my life. We were both awe struck by the views, the horses, and the experience. Gabriel is the man. Highly recommend

We had a fabulous time on this tour. We toured historical sites, went into a cave, rode a path through the mountains and everyone had a great time despite varying horseback experience (including some with none). Don’t hesitate to do this tour!

This is a fantastic experience, especially for those seeking something less "touristy". Gabriel is an amazing guide and speaks perfect English. I was the only person on the tour for the afternoon I went, and Gabriel was still super thorough and patient and did not skip anything. The horses are beautiful, tall, clean, well-groomed. You can tell Gabriel's family really loves and cares for them. I highly recommend this tour to enjoy some relaxing time and get to know the local communities better.

I do not have enough words to describe how incredible this experience was! Gabriel was such a kind and informative guide. He picked my friend and I up from our hostel, gave us snacks and told us the most fascinating stories about all the places we visited. It’s obvious that the horses are so loved and the ranch is like one big family. The temple of the moon was magical and riding through the Chacan mountains was truly the highlight of our trip! Can’t recommend this enough, it’s a must for a trip to Cusco!

I cannot say enough about how incredible this experience was. Gabriel (the owner of the ranch) picked us up himself, provided us with snacks for our journey and made sure we were comfortable and safe the entire time. My friend and I dreamed of horseback riding and to have the first time be in the Chaca Mountains and along the Temple of the Moon was unforgettable. The horses were happy, sweet and very well trained. Gabriel spoke perfect English and shared many interesting stories with us about the lands. To say the very least, this experience was truly MAGICAL. If you are in Cusco, you must visit Gabriel’s ranch.

This activity was a lovely addition to our trip to Cusco. Gabriel guided us amazingly throughout the ride and was happy to answer any questions we had about the Inca culture and horses. You could tell Gabriel really loves his horses and that they were well looked after. The horses were very well behaved, knowing exactly what to do and where to go, so this activity is great for beginners as well as those who have ridden before.
