      Highly recommend this cookery course!
We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our cookery course with Luigi. The San Pedro market was a fun trip and Luigi was really knowledgeable about all the Peruvian food there. We had a great time cooking and then eating our delicious meal. The time just flew by. Thank you Luigi we enjoyed every minute!

      Brilliant cooking class
My boyfriend and I did the cooking class with Luigi and we absolutely loved it! From the visit to the market and all the interesting information Luigi shared about the food we were buying and the rest of the market, to the cooking class itself and eating experience. The kitchen was so clean and the steps were so simple, big thank you to Luigi as we had an amazing time. It was the best ceviche I’ve eaten.

      Fun Evening in Cusco
Booked this class for by birthday while I was visiting Peru and it was really cool. Our chef was Luigi and he gave us an interesting tour at the San Pedro Market, telling us about all of the local ingredients. Then we walked to the cooking studio and make some delicious pisco sours, ceviche, alpaca, and potatoes. We also learned about some native fruits and ate them for dessert. The class was well organized in a cool little historic house and its a great way to spend an evening in Cusco!

Great experience. Walked through market together seeing different types of fruit, potatoes and spices. Then had the opportunity to make our own pisco sour and three course lunch. Luigi was very friendly and taught us lots. It was a great way to finish our stay in Cusco.

Luigi was very punctual and friendly and gave us a great tour of the market. He explained the different products unique to Peru finishing with a delicious chocolate tasting. The cooking class was great fun, informative and the food delicious. I can’t wait to reproduce the meal for friends and family back in Australia! Would highly recommend this experience.

      Phenomenal experience
We organised our class through Chris who was extremely helpful. Unfortunately, I experienced some altitude sickness alongside some connectivity problems but Chris was very accommodating and kind enough to help us reschedule. Our chef, Luigi, gave an extremely knowledgeable insight into San Pedro market and its contents. He taught us so much about peruvian food and even some wider cooking skills. The recipes were brilliant designed to compliment one another, the staff are very relatable and the food we cooked was delicious.

Luigi was the best host and chef. His knowledge in food ingredients and its origin, pairing of different ingredients and how to plate each dish were second to none. We were most impressed with his friendliness and his natural ability of interacting with all his guests. Making the pisco sour was fun, so was making every dish from start to plating. Timing of the entire operation from shopping to finishing our 3-course meal was perfect, with plenty of time to ask questions in between. We learnt a lot about some of the most famous dishes and drink in Peru and we had the best experience. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Cusco to give this cooking class a go and you would be so glad you did!

We did this cooking class last week on one of our spare days in Cusco. Couldn’t recommend it enough. It was a great way to spend 4 hours and we left feeling very content and full. The chef started by taking us around San Pedro market - this tour was much more in depth than the one we had received during our separate free walking tour. We started by preparing a pisco sour and then cooked three Peruvian dishes (starter, main, desert), which I think is incredible value for money.

We also did a chocolate making workshop in the same week, through a separate company. If you only have time for one of these experiences, I would definitely recommend the cooking class first

Chef Alvaro was so awesome and friendly. The tour of the San Pedro market was informative and just enough information for to feel excited to come back to shop. Then we went to the cooking station where we learned how to create art from food. We made an appetizer, main dish and dessert. We also started off the cooking class learning how to make a passion fruit pisco sour. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to have a relaxing afternoon or evening. The cooking faculty was very clean and warm. Made us feel like we were home. We will miss Chef Alvaro and his friendly smile.

After 1,5 weeks of visiting Lima, Arequipa and Machu Picchu, we were looking for some local activities in Cusco. The cooking class was the perfect option to get to know the city and the people from a culinary point of view.

We started with an interesting tour on the San Pedro Market. Our guide, Alvaro, gave us a lot of insights about the local food offerings and traditions.

After that, we started at the Taste location with a Pisco Sour course, followed by an amazing cooking class.
Alvaro was the perfect chef, we learned some facts about the Peruvian kitchen, history and traditions. But most importantly, we had a lot of fun!

All in all it was the perfect activity between all the stunning nature and cultural highlights of Peru.

Alvaro was amazing! He met us at the San Pedro market for a private tour and turned what would be a pretty overwhelming scene into an unforgettable experience. Picking out fresh ingredients made cooking our meals a lot more fun! While cooking he kept us entertained and laughing the whole time, and can clearly make cooks of any experience level feel comfortable and excited. The ceviche we made with him was the best we had in all of Peru (and we had a LOT). 10/10 would recommend to anyone staying in Cusco!

We did the lunch cooking class and market tour. Luigi was our guide and chef and he did an amazing job!! He spoke very clear English and explained the layout of the market very well and walked us through the different sections. He is a chef trained by background and did a fantastic job showing us some classic Peruvian dishes. We made Pisco sours, ceviche, sofritos and a fruit parfait desert using local ingredients washed in filtered water, so we felt very safe eating even fresh uncooked fruits and vegetables. The helper in the background efficiently changed our place settings and set out our ingredients as we were transitioning from cooking to eating. The entire experience was super fun and delicious. Luigi was a great host and ate alongside us to keep the conversation going about the Peruvian food culture and helped us with other restaurant recommendations in Cusco.

Highly recommend! Alvaro really made this experience special for my 11 and 14 year old daughters and me. He was very entertaining as he guided us through the market teaching us about Peruvian foods and culture. The cooking experience was easy, fun, and the food was delicious. Alvaro was a great instructor and has a fun sense of humor that entertained our group of all ages. I would definitely do this again.

The Peruvian cooking class with Chris was just fantastic! He explained everything so wonderfully and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxed and welcoming. You immediately notice how passionate he is about Peruvian cuisine, and that has made the whole experience even more special. We not only prepared delicious dishes, but also learned a lot about the culture and history behind them. It was a great opportunity to learn new recipes and techniques, and above all it was huge fun! Highly recommended.

10/10 would absolutely recommend if you’re interested in local Peruvian cuisine and ingredients and like a bit of cooking. It was a really small group - just 6 people and the chef. We loved learning about the local produce and spices in San Pedro market, then used several of the fruits and spices to make our meal: passionfruit pisco sour, tiradito, alpaca and a fruit cup for dessert - all delicious!

Our guide / chef Alvaro was incredibly engaging and knowledgeable and really made it a wonderful experience. He has a really impressive background, having worked in a variety of professional kitchens before, and it was clear he just loved doing this type of event. He was very accepting of dietary restrictions and made alterations as needed without any issues.

It was a great first experience in Cusco, and it was helpful to have the base knowledge of Peruvian ingredients throughout the rest of our trip.

After a week of eating delicious Peruvian food we decided it was time to learn how to make it. Could not have found a better class! Alvaro is an absolute gem. He truly loves what he does and sharing Peruvian cuisine with visitors. It’s amazing being in the kitchen with him and learning from watching an artist at work
