- 1The Peruvian Andes, is composed of numerous rivers that descend by gorgeous and small valleys; It has numerous archaeological monuments and indigenous towns. This valley was very appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities. It was one of the main production points for the riches of its lands and the place where the best corn grain in Peru is produced.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Pat W0 contributionsPerfect Machu Pichu TripWe went on this trip after cruise that ended in Lima. For us, it was the perfect length. We flew from Lima to Cusco and the next morning met our guide Odon. We had to delay the planned 8am start until 9am due to my altitude sickness (resolved well with help from hotel - take precautions!). Odon was very flexible and made adjustments as needed. The ride out of Cusco provided opportunity to get region history. We opted to see the Llama/Alpaca/Vecuña community coop instead of going to Pisac (our choice). Loved interacting with the animals and the detailed demonstration on how the wool is harvested, organically washed, dyed and woven. On to Moray and along the Secret Valley. Then we went to Ollantaytambo and toured that awesome site before getting the train to Aquas Caliente/Machu Pichu Pueblo. The next day of Machu Pichu Odon shepherded us onto the bus getting front seats for aged/infirm (quite the switchback ride up the mountain!) and was able to guide us personally at MachuPichu, even addressing husband’s need to rest rather than complete Circuit 2. Got him a good spot to do so. Odon was a great guide in both knowledge (historical, archeological) and friendly interaction. He took great photos of us too. All this made the trip just perfect. Lunch and shopping after Machu Pichu before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo where driver Julio met us and took us to the Cusco hotel to pick up bags and get us to the Cusco airport for the flight back to Lima.Written January 27, 2025

He was so helpful and knowledgeable answering all the questions we had, as well as taking group pictures for us. He also accompanied us to a great restaurant in Aguas Calientes after the tour for some lunch!Written November 23, 2024

- E6198GIsandraa0 contributionsLong tour, but worth it!The wait to get into Machu Picchu is long (not the tour company's fault), but the views were worth it! Uriel was very friendly, informative, and patient when explaining everything including the history. Everyone from the tour company was quite helpful and friendly actually. I would recommend!Written September 19, 2024

- bmzumu0 contributionsGreat Experience from Minute OneThe whole day worked like clockwork; we were given all the tickets and information the day before. We were picked up on time and driven to Ollantaytambo to catch the Peru Rail to Machu Picchu Pueblo. We were guided to the buses that take you 2km up the mountains to the city and the wonder that is Mach Picchu. Our English speaking tour guide was extremely knowledgable as he guided us along our route. Although, English was his fourth language (he speaks Quechua, Spanish, Portuguese and English) he was clear and rarely struggled to find the right words to explain the site or answer questions. He timed the tour well enough to allow us to get back to the buses to queue with buffer time before returning to Machu Picchu Pueblo with time for lunch where he recommended this great place called Chullos Restaurant. We caught our train back to Ollantaytambo - met promptly with the driver to take us back to our hotel in Cusco. The day was great and I would deffo recommend booking.Written September 12, 2024
- Markkaiserart0 contributionsA Very Well Organised Day Out to one of the Greatest Places on EarthThe thought of going to Machu Picchu itself is exciting enough but Peru Andes Top made it even more special. Our guide Uriel was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable and made our day out a true experience. He was very generous and mindful and looked after us all the way around the ancient Inca city. He also took some great photos and videos of us all as keepsakes. We really enjoyed every part of the tour. Overall the whole trip including the minibus transfer, the Peru Rail train ride and the bus transfer up to Machu Picchu from the train station was very well organised. The train ride itself was a brilliant scenic experience and one you don’t want to miss. Thank you Uriel for being such a great guide!Written August 18, 2024
- 971kateo0 contributionsAmazing tripWe had a trip to Machu Picchu today and it was amazing! We were worried about route 3 cause I’ve read it’s the lowest part of the city but it was the best route (if you want to see both the panoramic view and the city itself). Our guide Uriel was amazing too: very caring, intelligent, interesting, you can see how truly he loves his culture. He took lots of awesome pics and videos of us too, he’s a pro at shooting! The organization of the trip was also good, nothing to complain about.. Thank you guys🫶Written August 3, 2024
- Voyager192293453540 contributionsWorth the travelWe had a great time and everyone on our trip was so nice and helpful. Specially our driver Marco was very nice and our guide Uriel made the experience in Machu Picchu lovely. He could explain us so much about the history of the place and the traditions. First we were worried that we did not book the circuit 1 (we went 3/5 = are the same) but we had an amazing view and could go inside the buildings, which you can’t in the other one. So the history felt closer and the view was just as breath taking!Written July 27, 2024
- Companion305715124900 contributionsMachu Picchu Tour - PeruAndesTopWell organised by PeruAndesTop. Met with tour organiser day before to receive all necessary tickets. Van arrived perfectly on time the morning of the tour and made sure we had plenty of time to get coffee at Ollantaytambo station before heading to Aguas Calientes. We met a representative from the tour agency at the station who introduced us to our guide for Machu Picchu. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and was very helpful with taking photos and explaining/answering questions and history. Our tour of Machu Picchu was finished by around 1pm and we had a couple hours for lunch in Aguas Calientes. Well organised and a memorable experience.Written July 22, 2024

We were in a family of 11 people and stayed with Lenin and Tomas for 7 days in Cusco and surroundings. They took us to places that made our trip an unforgettable memory and Lenin’s knowledge of Peru’s history gave us a bath of immersion in its beautiful and rich culture. They were very careful with us, always concerned about our adaptation to altitude and individual needs. I can say they made our trip unforgettable.

Max organized a one day trip to macchu pichu that went smoothly so I returned to him to book my sacred valley tour and he did not disappoint. Everything went off without a hitch. Our guide Marco was so knowledgeable. And our driver, Wilbur, got us there and home safely. It's a long day (bring snacks), but it's nice to have someone else take care of all the organization, and so worth the trip. Be aware there are 400 steps to climb at Ollytaytambo. Do skip the tourist buffet lunch. We went across the street and found a 6 sole fixed menu that was much cheaper and better tasting. Thanks for the great day!

I hired this company and requested a tour in English. When they picked up us from our hotel we were surprised because we were like 15 people in the bus. The guide start explaining long stories in Spanish. He would say, "look to the left (in Spanish) and start telling the whole story, 15'' minimum, and no English until I stood up in the van and yell, aren't you going to explain this in English?" his answer was, "you have to ask me", so I told him, I hired a tour in English, I know it is convenient for you to speak Spanish because from 15 people 13 spoke Spanish. After that he start explaining in English, but always first in Spanish, so when he said look to the right.... and started his story, when it was time for English, the place he was referring to was not there any more. It was that bad, that we decided to jump off his tour and stayed in a restaurant, we call Heidi Travel and they sent us a car with a very well knowledge guy, Albert, that only spoke in English for us. He was not in a hurry like the guy in Peru Andes top. We were so happy to hire another company. Sometimes is worth to pay US$100 more for a private English tour, than to be in a van with people all ages, even kids crying, etc. I called Peru Andes Top and I told them I was leaving their tour, that I preferred to walk from Sacred Valley back to Cuzco rather than to continue with them. Heidi Travel saved us.

Hi, am I able to attend the Sacred Valley tour and leave the tour at Ollantaytambo, rather than returning to Cusco? I am booked to catch the Vistadome train up to Aqua Callientes at 15:07pm on Saturday 17th November.
Many thanks Nora Pennefather
