Wonderful Adventure with Excellent Guide
Nov 2021
I just returned from a wonderful trip to Peru, including the 4 day/3 night trek to Machu Picchu and I highly recommend Trexperience. Our guide was Edy and he did a wonderful job of making sure we were prepared for each day's hike by providing detailed information about what to expect, ensuring that we were enjoying the experience and offering lots of history and detail about the archaeological sites that we visited. The food was excellent and plentiful and the chefs did a great job of making each meal and tea time feel special. The itinerary was clear, well organized and manageable with respect to the amount of hiking that we did each day. There was ample time to take photos of the stunning views as well as appropriate amounts of rest time built in each day. Edy was very willing to take our photos at the stopping points.
I was very impressed with the communication from Trexperience during the initial booking process and the actual trip. They answered my questions promptly and the packing list provided in advance was helpful. Prior to the Inca Trail trek, I participated in a tour of the city of Cusco, where guide Carmen was excellent and provided me with interesting information at each of our stops and was happy to take several photos. I also took a tour of the Sacred Valley with Trexperience. Again, the tour was well organized, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was a very fun day. I highly recommend Trexperience.

Amazing guide and chef!
Oct 2021 • Friends
This was the best trek we did in Peru. Communication was clear and everything was perfectly organized. Our guide, Charly, was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about everything including the history of the Inca trail and empire, the culture of the high Andean people who still inhabit the area, the flora both agricultural and wild, and the fauna in the area. It was a pleasure to spend 4 days on this trail with Charly.

Additionally, the food cooked by our chef, Celso, was immaculate. We ate everything ranging from ceviche to chocolate cake. Expect to be amazed every single meal by what this man can cook in a tent. Portions were also large, nobody ever went hungry and there was always leftover food for those who wanted to eat more.

I can't recommend booking with this company enough. They will do everything they can to make your trek one of the best experiences of your life.

Bucket List Adventure!
Nov 2021
Friends. This was an amazing experience. The Inca Trail is gorgeous, but I'm so glad that I chose to experience it with TreXperience. First, because they have start dates every day, you can pick the dates that work for you (instead of other providers that only have 2 or 3 starts a week to shoehorn everyone into 16-person groups). So my group ended up being 4 people and it was a really intimate experience.

Our guide, JJ, really made the trip. He's hilarious in English and Spanish. He was extremely knowledgeable about everything from Incan/Peruvian history, local flora and fauna, and (crucially haha) where to grab the best photos at each spot. We went in the shoulder season (November) so we knew we were taking a risk with the weather. But JJ knew how to mitigate it and make the most of every moment. He was a treasure, so request him if you can. Our chef, Amilcar, was also incredible and made 3 great meals a day that fueled us.

Highly recommend!

Great customer service and experience
Nov 2021 • Solo
Highly recommend Trexperience. Our guide, Edy Pumacahua was great. He brought enthusiasm to our team everyday. He also answered all our questions about Incan history and prepped us well for the trail each day. Selsor, the chef, was great. I expected a plate of food each meal. We received buffets. We were never hungry. And the porters exemplify customer service. This team made a one in a lifetime experience that much better.

You will never forget your 4 days walking the Inca trail!
Nov 2021
We will never forget those 4 days walking the Inca trail with the amazing team Trexperience!!
We are a french family of 4 with our 2 daughters 10 and 8 years old and we were really pampered by the Trexperience team who makes us live a wonderful experience besides the difficulty of the trek.
First, our french speaker guide, Oliver, was very friendly and attentive with a great knowledge on the Inca culture. He met all our expectations and he had a great connection with the girls also.
Then, the cook was really excellent, congrats to the chef Rolando and sous chef Rene for making us enjoy each meal so much, served by the super smiling Bacilio. Finally, the porters were so kind, we felt a real family spirit thanks to them and the porter principal Uriel.
We would 100% recommend Trexperience, high quality profesional service, owned by peruvien people, which was important for us visiting Machu Picchu.

The unforgettable experience of Inka Trail
Nov 2021 • Friends
I just finished my Inka trail. My trip was amazing! The company TreXperience did an unbelievable job in organizing everything. The places we stayed at were comfortable, clean and welcoming. Everyone was very helpful. Our tour guide Jose Luis Perez Ramos was awesome! He is very knowledgeable in Inka history and traditions. We learned a lot about the places we visited. He gave us a good explanation of what was the purpose of all Inka sites that we saw. He took good care of us individually and as a group, solving our request and issues instantly as if they were his own. He became part of our family and we loved him for that. The food was awesome! Our chef Celso cooked us delicious Peruvian food, the service was better then I ever expected. The porters where amazing, they had the hardest job carrying our bags and everything we needed for the trip, they where always happy and encouraging to us. Everyone involved in the trip, made it comfortable and smooth for us. Thank you so much! I would do it again and recommend it to my friends.

4D Inca Trail - Rainy but still fantastic experience
Nov 2021
Carlos, who is the company owner has been very helpful since the very beginning communicating with my group and accommodating the requests from my group. We are group of 5 people and participated the 4-day Inca Trail hiking. (total 8 guests, 13 porters, 1 chef, one tour guide)

it has been my dream to walk on this trail. the group is fun and we are paired with other 3 people. the max group is 8 people per tour. This tour company is very good following the gov restrictions and policies with thoughtful consideration of safety and compliance.

Our tour guide Elisban was called 2 hours before this tour (because our original tour guide had some family issue and cannot be present) and he has been doing everything he can to make this journey as safe and fun as possible. He is knowledgeable and more importantly, he is a local and so proud of his own culture!! You can surely learn a lot of the local culture and life styles from him. It wasn't easy to manage a big group but he did a fantastic job.

Our chef Lorenzo has been so kind to me. I was always the first getting to the campsite and he always greet me with smile and asked me if I need anything. He speaks limited English and Spanish but we have not problem communicating to each other. Also, he has a lot magic making food for 8 people each day!

In terms of the trail itself, pretty fun i think, no matter how old you are. you can still enjoy this trail as long as you are aware of your body condition and communicate to your tour guide on time.

We slept on camps for three nights. It was basically raining all three nights, but the tent is clean and dry so it wasn't that bad! The porters were very helpful carrying everything and fulfill all requests that I have. The second day is hard but most people can make it easily. in the third day, the tour team will also arrange a hot water shower for you!! (trust me, it is amazing to get a hot shower after two nights and three day hiking before heading to the sacred city Machu Picchu)

As of food, breakfast is with fruits, pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. lunch is with appetizer, soup, main course, dinner is with appetizer, soup, main course, and dessert. We had two birthday boys in the group, and the chef made two birthday cakes for them!!! so surprising.

each day, you will enjoy different food. It is good when you are exhausted. lol. I am a bad cook so I am always surprised how he can make those interesting food decoration using those simple ingredients.

As of tips, it is pretty reasonable, tour guide usually will share his suggestion of tips for three groups (regular porters, 3 special porters, chef, tour guide). you can also find tips suggestions online. The staff are paid fairly (government enforced minimum wage for porters, but their life will be so much improved if you can show your gratitude monetarily).

The tour company owner Carlos even dropped us off to airport one day after the end of our tour for free. I'd highly recommend this company to my friends.

Trexperience Inca trail hike
Nov 2021
I highly recommend this Inca trail hike, and doing it with Trexperience. We had an amazing guide named Elvis that handled everything. We went with the full luxury style camping, and had around 30 porters + chef + massage girls + other helpers all helping us every day, for a group of 7 of us. We searched other companies, and Trexperience seemed to be clearly the best option, and they certainly didn't disappoint.

Incredible experience that surpassed all my expectations
This was an experience of a lifetime and the Trexperience team made it possible. I have done many multi day backpacking trips - and this is made more challenging because of the altitude. Elvis was our lead and he exceeded every expectation - extremely experienced and professional - focused on maximizing our experience. The support team were impressive in their hard work and friendly nature. The food was amazing - better than what we had eaten in Cusco. And we learnt so much about the inca people as well as the mountains and flora and fauna.
I would highly recommend Trexperience and Elvis.
