Amazing 4-Day Inca Trail Experience with Juan Carlos, Alfredo, and Ronald!!!
Just did the 4-day Inca Trail trek with Juan Carlos, Alfredo, and Ronald and had an amazing time! Juan Carlos, Alfredo, and Ronald were all super knowledgeable about everything and always willing to share fascinating facts along the trek! With altitude sickness on the second day, Alfredo didn't think twice to help me with my bag! I'm beyond grateful! All of the porters and chef, Aron Carmelo, were amazing! The porters were cheering us on along the trek even when they had 3x more weight than we did. The chef made some amazon meals that I did not know were even possible on the go! This company met and exceeded all of our expectations for this once in a lifetime experience!

          Great mountain. Great guide
Rainbow Mountain is an incredible experience. Absolutely, one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Luz, was very knowledgeable and helpful, and ensured that we made it to the top, despite the challenges of hiking at 15,000 feet elevation!

Peru is a nice place to visit. Friendly people, despite that, some scam you . I love all the foods
Luz is a nice lady with a positive minset, and as a guide, she provides excellent service. Rainbow Mountain Tour provides needed tools, unlike with the Salkantay tour ..I was scam.

          A trek to Remember
Everything about my experience was great. Our guide, Juan Carlos was the best. He was super prepared, genuine, caring, and an expert. He knew so much about everything. The culture, The history, botany, even dance! He answered all our questions. He was just such a wealth of information. On the trail, he was so great with all the hiking members, he made sure we were all doing ok, and made plans accordingly for each person that needed extra assistance. I was so grateful to have him. The assistant guides were wonderful as well. I was having such a difficult time on the trail but Alfredo and Ronald really stayed with me and encouraged me and helped me out a lot in order for me to be successful. I'm grateful for them too. The cook, Carmelo was EXCELLENT, all the meals were just phenomenal, and a joy to look forward to. The experience at the Quechua community was also truly special as the residents opened up their community and taught us so much about their way of life and gave us opportunities to experience it as well. To sum it all up, there was nothing bad at all about this trip. It is a trip that will stay with me forever.

          10/10 experience!
This was the best trip ever! I never would have had this experience without crossover Peru. This was my first real camping/hiking trip and it was made possible by the awesome staff. I never had to worry once knowing that Aron and the porters had everything ready for us, as well as took care of our belongings. The food was also incredible by Carmelo. Every meal had multiple courses. Lastly our guides Alfredo, Ronal, and Juan Carlos couldn’t have been better. I trusted them immediately and they all took great care of us and ensured we had a safe and fun journey. They were also so knowledge about Inca history.

Wow! Incredible trek on the Inca Trail
Such an incredible trip through CrossoverPeru. We were a group of 3 women led by the most amazing guide, Yaritza. She was so patient and encouraging, but also so informative and knowledgeable. Such a great combination for a tour guide! The hike was difficult, but our porters (led by Javier), and our chef (Remigio) really helped us to forget how hard the trek actually was. The porters took great care of us as well as our packs, and Remi’s meals were amazing. The scenery on the way to Machu Picchu was so diverse and beautiful. And of course Machu Picchu itself did not disappoint. I highly recommend you take this trip with this crew. It will be one of the highlights of your life!

Inka trail from a beginner hiker
Our guide Yaritza, our chef Remigio, and the porters that were headed by Javier was the best team we could ask for. They did everything they could do to make the experience seamless and unforgettable. It was hard, but they kept our spirits up. The food was delicious and so unforgettable! You were shocked you were camping! Yaritza knew just where to stand to get the best pics, her knowledge of the trail was amazing; I learned so much! The team takes care of you like you are their family, you can really feel the love! I highly recommend!

          Exhilarating
Wonderful trip. All arrangements were handled. We can’t say enough about your guide, Edwin. He came to our hotel the night before and gave use a comprehensive briefing and field any questions we had. If you book this trip, ask for Edwin. Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu speak for them selves. Breath taking. So is the climb to the peak of Huayna Picchu 😁. Worth every step. Would not have done anything different.

          Amazing experience
The view was breathtaking, and our guides Ronald and Ruth made sure we were alright at every step of the way. I opted to take a mule up due to altitude sickness, but I'd love to do the hike with this operator again sometime! They were knowledgeable, friendly, and really fun!

Highly Recommended - Challenging But Rewarding
Highly recommend this challenging but rewarding hiking experience! From start to finish, you get all the support and information you need to reach the beautiful Humantay Lake, and take in all the stunning views along the way. Horses/mules were available to ride up (not back down) for anyone concerned with battling the altitude, etc. Everyone in our group found this journey to be absolutely worth it!

        PRE TOUR:
I got to Cusco a couple days before the tour started because I wanted to visit more places. I had let CrossOver Peru know and they came to pick me up at the airport, helped me check in. On that day, I mentioned that I wanted to visit Maras and Moray (not included in the package) and they have arranged me a tour the next day at around 50 Soles!

Day 1: Queshuachaca Bridge & Caranahui Cave
Kevin picked me up from my hotel around 4:30AM and we hit the road. After two hour of driving, we stopped by at a small town for a local breakfast (not included) with egg toast and quinoa drink and it was super yummy. After the meal, we drove one more hour to the bridge. Kevin explained that the bridge was last inca bridge and gave me nice background story and explanation of significance of the bridge. Then, we drove 10-20 more minutes to go to a cave. Kevin did a small and yet beautiful ceremony thanking the Mother Earth (pachamama) for allowing us to visit the cave. The cave was 240+ millions old and it was just so serene. Afterwards, we stopped by a restaurant for lunch (included) for Pollo Saltada! They are great spots away from the regular/popular touristy place.

        Day 2: Rainbow Mountain
Kevin also came to pick me up this day. We had an earlier start at 3:30AM. In this tour, breakfast and lunch were included. When we got to rainbow mountain, it was cold, covered by thick fog, and I was actually very sad as Rainbow Mountain was one of the biggest reasons why I wanted to come to Cusco. I rented a horse to go up and Kevin is an amazing hiker as he kept up with the speed of horse all the way to the top. The fog was still so thick. As I was getting more and more disappointed, Kevin told me not to worry and be positive. Kevin kindly waited with me for one hour for fog to clear and it didn't. Then, he said we should do a small offering to the mountain with Coca leaves. We did and waited for another 20 minutes and nothing happened. So we decided to make our descend and we see a ray of sunshine approaching our way. It was a breathtaking sight! I cautiously asked Kevin if we can go back up and without a hesitation, Kevin said "We can!" The mountain was so beautiful and I was so thankful and grateful for Kevin. It was a truly unforgettable day. THANK YOU KEVIN!!! My heart still gets filled with appreciation when I think about this day!

Day 3: Sacred Valley, Colonial and Archeological Pisaq & Ollantaytambo
This day, Ruben was our guide. The start of the day was at 7AM. No meal was included this day. We stopped by Sacred Valley’s beautiful view and proceeded to Pisaq sites and Ollantaytambo. Ruben gave us about 30 mins of Pisaq market. MAKE SURE you don’t get lost there. The market is huge and I almost got lost. Ruben gave us a thorough history overview of these sights. The knowledge that he had was very impressive. After the tour, I got dropped off at the train station to go to Aguas Callientes.

        Day 4: Machu Picchu
At 6:30am, I got picked up by the guide, Victor, from my hotel to the bus station. No meal is included on this day. After 25 mins of the bus ride, we got to the gate. Victor was an amazing “story teller.” Calm and composed, with good sense of humor and full of knowledge. I felt so lucky to be there and learning about Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu, as one of the most famous spots in the world, was just mind blowing. I was slightly afraid that I will get disappointed. But it was BEYOND what I have pictured in my head for all these years.

        Day 5: Departure
It was time to say goodbye to the beautiful Cusco. I have learned so much past few days. The love and respect that Cusco people have for Pachamama was so touching. I was so sad to leave and I have to thank CrossOver Peru for providing me with these amazing experiences!
