Amazing experience with a great tour guide (Maria)
Incredible tour! Our guide (Maria) was incredibly knowledgeable and had an amazing level of English which meant we learnt so much during our tour and had a fantastic day. She arrived early and met us in our hotel lobby which made the whole experience smooth and easy for us! Couldn’t recommend this company for the tour enough.

          Long Drive, Beautiful View
Our guide was knowledgeable, we stopped for breakfast and dinner and there was food for everyone and it was delicious. We didn’t think the hike was too tough, but if you’re from sea level pace yourself and stop if you’re not feeling well. Someone on the trail had fainted off of a horse from altitude sickness, thankfully not in our group. While our whole group hiked, there are options to take horses or motorcycles and the cost is not included. Remember to bring cash, the locals charge between 2-3 soles to use the restroom, 4 or 5 for the one bathroom near the top of the hike. And bring hand sanitizer! Please note there is a long drive from Cusco to the mountain, with the shortcut road closed it took us about 3 hours each way with some rough roads.

          unforgettable experience...
The excursion was expertly organized and planned, and the guides' expertise of the local flora and animals, in addition to the lagoons, was astounding. Their love for the area was clear, and their ability to communicate it in English added to the unforgettable experience.

          Great experience! 🌈
I had a great time with my guide Anibal today. He’s a very warm and friendly person, welcoming, and most of all encouraging during a difficult walk due to the high altitude. I had already acclimatized over the last 8 days in Cuzco area/4 day Inca trail so it wasn’t that bad for me but I still needed to take frequent breaks and Anibal was very patient. He took 1000 photos of me as I was by myself and made sure everything went smoothly and safely. Tour ran on time/ahead of schedule, which allowed me to spend more time in Cusco in the afternoon. I recommend this company.

The local guides were exceptionally knowledgeable
The hike itself was both challenging and rewarding. The trails are well-maintained and offer a good balance of difficulty, making the journey enjoyable for seasoned hikers and adventurous beginners alike. The local guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, providing fascinating insights into the area's geology, flora, and fauna.

          Spectacular Rainbow Montain
Rainbow Mountain is breathtaking. The view of the Andes is magical.bring comfortable shoes. Water and prepare yourself the day before with a light dinner. The road is very jumpy. The tour guide Judith was very knowledgeable. I hope you have a great time too.

          Rainbow mountain
Hi I went to rainbow mountain in may o this year 2024 with my fiancé and my family. We had a great experience and the view was fascinating. We had someone named Roxana as our guide tour and she was amazing. She explained all the details before hand and told us the history of the place. Would truly recommend her as a guide. Just be prepared for possible headache due to the high altitude. Otherwise great and beautiful experience.

Our tour guide Anibal is wonderful
We love our experience! Our tour guide Anibal is wonderful: he is very friendly and funny, and I like the atmosphere he created for us; he is very helpful, and he answered all our questions about Inca cultures and Rainbow mountains and help us solving the issues because we don’t speak Spanish; he is a great photographer too, and he knows good spots to take the photos! He had the herbs spray to make us feel better about the reaction to the height. We’re thankful that he took care of us well during the trip. The food they offered were great too! The transportation was comfortable, and the driver was experienced. We strongly recommended this experience!

Alpacas, alpacas, and more alpacas 💕🦙
Loved it. Do it!!! The ride is bumpy but the hike is short and extraordinary. Make sure that you can handle the altitude when you are going to do this hike.

          Rainbow Mountain and weather disaster
Tour company should check the expected weather before traveling three hours. We went there it was raining, turned into snow, could not see the beauty of mountain. Took mountain bike to hike, when coming down hill on mountain bike, holding bike with right hand and holding hiking stick on left hand along with my bag, in the halfway, another bike passed going upward, pushed my hiking stick into my ribs, fractured six ribs. It was below freezing and wet, I thought it was best and fastest way, but didn't realize it will be devastating for me. I didn't know how and which side is better to hold the hiking stick, these drivers do not tell the customer, neither guide guided me. But Robinson was very kind to me after the incident, he brought me pain medicine and gave me blanket, in Cusco he dropped me to the medical clinic, for evaluation. Weather was disaster, there was no point of even visiting to Rainbow Mountain and even wasting time and money, I wish company would have notified us expected weather and gave us option to take some other tour. Other people in my group took option of sacred valley tour, and the got sunny day on that side. Being such a good company you can start giving an option to your customers, a day before that if 60 or more percent weather is raining or snowing probability, if someone likes to take another tour option instead, so no one loose time. Due to limited time, I had to choose between sacred valley and Rainbow Mountain Tour. Other than the weather and accidents with broken ribs, everything was excellent.

Unmissable day out to be had.
Mum and I had a fabulous day. Everything ran smoothly. Roger, our guide, was fantastic 👏. He imparted so much knowledge about the local environment, culture, flora, and fauna. He was super kind to my mum, who struggled a bit with the terrain. She is 73, and with his help, she managed the whole walk, including the climb, to the highest outcrop. What a gent. Our driver, Lewis, was also very nice. He drove safely, and the car was spotless. The breakfast and lunch was delicious 😋. I am a vegetarian, and my needs were met. The trip in itself is definitely unmissable. It is breathtakingly beautiful 😍 and should not be missed. This is a MUST. Great value, great day out. It's definitely something to write home about.

          Lifetime memory
I went to the Palccoyo Rainbow Mounteen with a private tour. They come for me to my hotel in Cusco in the exact time. The tour was really beautifull not only at Palccoyo, but from Cusco to Palccoyo and back also, because the route goes between very nice hills. On the way to there we stoped for a breakfast, and on the way back for a lunch, in the same restaurant. At Palccoyo the walking route wasn’t steep, it was a really nice walk, the problem for me was only the breathing, because we started the walk at 4600 m, and finished at 4900 m. So we had to stop often to relax a little. My guide Anibal was a very caring and nice guy, he helped me in everything., thank you so much for him for this nice tour.

Great experience, great views, even better guides!
Great tour - very well organized. Two great meals and beautiful views along the drive to rainbow mountain that the driver stopped for to allow us to take pictures. The best part by far was the tour guides (Anabel, Angel, Lizardo) who were by far the nicest, most hospitable, most interesting guides we’ve encountered in Peru. Our guide even let us try his alpaca meat. It was a pleasure spending the day with them and they definitely put a smile on our face. Book this tour!

          Incredible Day
Rainbow mountain is a must see if you are staying in Cusco and I would highly recommend doing the trip with the Rainbow Mountain Cusco Tour Company. Anibal our guide for the day was exceptional. He not only kept us entertained with local stories and facts about the area but took so much care to ensure we all reached the top of Rainbow Mountain at our own pace. At 5,200m it is a challenge! He was funny, kind and also an expert at taking the best photos! There was nothing he didn’t know and we stopped a few times en route to enjoy spectacular views and to meet a herd of Alpacas! Victor our driver was also superb and made us all feel safe despite the zig zag roads. Thank you for a great day Anibal… memories made for a lifetime! 🫶🏻🌈🦙

I chose this for my dad and I. We woke up early in Cusco and our travel van took about 3 hours to get there. It was about a group of 16 of us. It took me about 2 hours to reach the top and the last 800 meters are very difficult. You should train for it and might need assistance from coca tea. You can also take a horse but you still need to climb the last 600-800 meters on your own. Only, about half of us could hike it all. The rest paid for the horses. It took me about 50 minutes to return to our van. The locals sell many awesome items. Rainbow Mountain is breathtaking both figuratively and literally. This is a once in a lifetime experience. We stopped for breakfast and for an early dinner at the same place.

Picked up on time at hotel and 3 other tourists joined - 4 in all. Perfect amount to really have an interactive experience with our tour guide, Editte/Edith. She was wonderful! Great English and very patient with all our questions. And as a solo traveler she was always happy to take pictures for me. We fed llamas & alpacas, drove through beautiful scenery, visited a market, saw 2 archaeology sites, had an amazing Peruvian buffet and saw weaving demonstrations. I'm not sure people realize there are so many more archaeology sites than Machu Picchu and all are worth climbing (and just as much work lol). Our small group (Jill, Roy and Leon) were wonderful to be with and it was a lot of fun where I just happened to learn a lot. Oh! Great price as well, well worth it.
