About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- baafreo0 contributionsOverall good - but mixed experience with sub-contractorsBooked the 2-day tour from Puno to Arequipa via Colca Canyon. Unfortunately Green Peru Adventures is just an Agent and not actually delivering the service - so having them one step removed added to the difficulties. We were not informed that one provider (Nativa Express) would be coordinating the first half day, and then we would be handed over to Giardino Tours for the remaining day and a half. Nativa Express were appalling. They were half hour late for pickup - which ordinarily is fine but there was no communication. Our “Guide” didn’t talk to us the whole journey until we were offloaded at a remote ‘Crossroads (like a roadhouse) and told we had to wait for another driver. First we’d heard of this!!! Other driver was running late but our Nativa Guide didn’t have their number! After half hour she took off in another van leaving us in the hands of the Nativa bus driver. However the moment she was out of sight he drove off leaving us abandoned in the middle of nowhere! We were to be tranferred to Giardino Tours, and at this point the only saving grace was another driver and guide from that company reaching out and assuring us that they’d been in contact with our Giardino guide and exactly how long the would be. From then on, our tour was amazing!! 5-stars to Guardino Tours!! But next time we will book with them directly.Written September 24, 2024
- Mjohnson510 contributionsFeeling comfortableI'm from the UK, I was very apprehensive about just arriving in Peru on my own and booking a tour with a tour company that I know nothing about. Being in the middle of the desert in Peru with a complete stranger is quite daunting. However, Leo (Roland) was very helpful, always available via whatsapp to answer questions and responding to my requests for confirmation etc. I booked a tour from Puno to Arequipa with a one night stay in Chivay for Colca canyon. Everything was very smooth, I felt comfortable straight away. Very professional tour guide and driver, nice new buses to travel in. Nice accomodation etc. I would definately use again. I usually like more than 5 reviews before I use a company, but this one I recommend, I'm not biased, I just feel the need to write a good review.Written September 2, 2023
- mundodeviaje0 contributionsTwo day tour Colca Canyon from Puno to ArequipaWe thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day tour of the Colca Canyon from Puno with Giardino Tours/Green Peru Adventures. We we were picked up in Puno, stayed overnight close to Chivay, toured the Colca Canyon and surrounding area the next day and were driven on to Arequipa after that. Our guide Elar (Giardino Tours) was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, and thoughtful and accommodating in planning our itinerary. We made many interesting stops along the way over the 2 days. It was a great way to see the Canyon and travel between Puno and Arequipa.Written December 5, 2022
- ascoptur0 contributionsTwo day Colca Canyon tour to PunoI highly recommend this trip with Giardino Tours / Green Peru if you want to see Colca Canyon and end up in Puno from Arequipa! It’s an easy tour in a mini bus with accommodating and thoughtful guides (Gerber and Woller) who have your best interest and comfort in mind. They take you to all the best view points of the canyon and will make sure you see condors! Definitely worth the time and money. I also recommend upgrading your hotel to Colca Lodge - great private hot springs and wonderful location. This tour is a really great way to see a wonder of Peru! Thanks, Gerber and Woller for making it delightful.Written January 6, 2020

- pieterlefras0 contributionsThree days from Lima To Arequipa, including Ballestas Islands, Huacachina, Palpa, Nazca flight and Chauchilla cemetery. When we inquired from Lisa that my wife and I have 3 days to travel from Lima to Arequipa, and asked her to arrange a tour which included a flight over the Nazca Lines, we did not in our wildest dreams imagine the personalized adventure that she would put together. We among others experienced super luxury sleeper coaches transporting us down the West Coast of Peru, met with friendly ordinary people going about their daily business in a "non-touristy" way, lived through the thrill of an "every day trip" in a sedan on the Pan-American Freeway, experienced a life-time experience flight over the Nazca lines and then some more. An awesome experience, not for the faint hearted. Thank you Lisa, Ciro, Felix, Liliana, Captain.Written September 11, 2019

- cheribokern0 contributionsBird’s eye view of the Sacred Valley! This was not a once in a lifetime experience— paragliding will make you want to repeat the experience time and again! When we met with Roland at his office before the tour, he personalized both the trip and our individual itineraries. I highly recommend both this trip and this company. Both are outstanding!Written July 12, 2019
- AMS_travel910 contributionsParagliding over Sacred ValleyThis was my first time paragliding and it was so fun! The instructor has been doing this for 28 years and he was great at explaining everything. My ride was 17 minutes and my husband's was 20. It was an overall great experience - I would definitely go again!Written June 3, 2019

- Bodisattva0070 contributionsConscienscousness on a quest for ConsciousnessMyself and my family of cosmonauts were just beginning an intense retreat of soul exploration that is common to this great region of South America. Much preparation and dedication was required to carve out time and cash resources from our diverse lives. But we had made it. And an integral part of our preparation required a strict diet. Weary from travel and intense physical engagement with the mysterious ancient sites of Cusco, we were famished. Not being familiar with the local culinary scene, it would have been easy for our individual pledges to La Dieta to crumble like toast under the weight of the aggressive knife of hunger which held our tummies hostage, and to reach for something exciting and local like Cuy. But because of our pure intentions, Apu and Inti led us to the source of our proper nourishment: Greens. Our waiter, Fredy, has excellent communication skills, leading us to delicious and healthy options that fit our perameters. He juggled a tricky allergy issue with one of our tribe, knowing the presence of a whisper of gluten that would not have been obvious based on the listed ingredients. It was his intimate knowledge of specific preparation which led him to avoid an early casualty on our two week journey. He had no problem dividing our checks in an efficient manner. And he was genuinely grateful for our business. Way to go Fredy. And none of this speaks of the incredible food! I dont normally write reviews, but feels absolutely compelled to do so, for this serendipitous find is not on street level and could be difficult to spot. And to walk right by this gastronomic gift from the Inca gods would be nothing short of tragedy.Written March 28, 2019

- Fitude0 contributionsDO NOT USE THIS COMPANYWe did the 1 Full Day Tour to Machu Picchu and it was a total disaster, totally ruined our experience. We were picked up very early and taken to the train station - we were more than one hour too early for our train with nothing to do and no explanation of which train we were getting. When we arrive at the train station at the other end we were to take a bus up to the site - we were given no instruction where the buses left or where they were, if we had a ticket for this etc. A guide was supposed to meet us at the train station but after 30 minutes we gave up. We got to the entrance of Machu Picchu and no guide turned up - he was drunk the night before and did not come for us! We were told over the phone "he's 10 minutes away, 5 minutes etc..." with little apology when he was never coming. We waited well over an hour before having a local guide take us through and rushed it so much that we missed out on half the sites up the top and were unable to return to see them. We were booked on the last train home at 7pm despite being basically kicked out of Machu Picchu at 12pm and having no guide to inform what else to do in town. We had to pay for an earlier train back. It was all a total disaster and not worth it, another company would have been much better. We received a small compensation but it was not enough to justify ruining this expensive experience for us.Written October 20, 2018
- Explorer5674690 contributionsParagliding over sacred valleyBrilliant paragliding experience for myself and husband. Only lasted just over 5minutes (timed on video) due to unlucky with thermals. Other pilot did say to my husband that my pilot may take me again due to short time but this was not offered. Husband had a much longer flight and loved it, mine was also awesome just short! Pilots and taxi driver all lovely!Written September 26, 2018

My husband and I just came back from our trip to Peru, and we are very satisfied with the services provided by Green Peru Adventures. The Green Peru Adventures staff was professional since the beginning. They were well organized, always punctual, helpful, and friendly. They created a customized package for us and another couple (friends of ours) that included all the activities and private tours that we wanted to experience while we were in Peru. The staff answered all our questions in a timely manner through What’s App, and was very accommodating to our requests. There was an internal issue with the hotel that we had first booked, but Roland, our main point of contact, was proactive and fixed everything before we got there. Alex and Favio, our tour guides in Cusco and Machu Picchu, respectively, were very nice and knowledgeable. Julio, our driver, was always punctual and drove us safely to all our destinations.
Thank you, Green Peru Adventures! We had a great experience in Peru thanks to your team. We would use your services again in the future, and recommend to our friends and family <3.

Roland (Leo) made our trip to Cusco a pleasant experience. From the moment we arrived in Cusco until our departure. The tours were well organized and everyone who participated in them was excellent hosts, guides and always made sure that we were comfortable and having a good time. The hotel was also very nice and the cafe where we had to have breakfast was the best. I 100% recommend Roland for your next trip to Cusco and its surroundings.
