Our decision to visit the Ausangate area and Rainbow Mountain with FlashpackerConnect was definitely the right one and we can absolutely recommend them without any reservations.

We had a beautiful experience and were taken care of in the best way by the great team. David, our driver, calmly and safely delivered us to wherever we had to go, Charlie, the chef, provided an incredible variety of different wonderful dishes, and Aiben, our guide, made sure that we had the most of our trip, explained a lot about the area, its history and culture, and even managed for us to be the first ones on the usually very crowded Rainbow Mountain viewpoint!

Altogether a fantastic trip in a marvelous landscape with the best team you could wish for. If you want to see these beautiful places, visit them with FlashpackerConnect.

After a grueling 4D3N Inca trail, my friend and I booked our 2 day trek to Rainbow Mountain with Flashpacker Connect. We were extremely grateful for the modifications and had such an incredible time on the trek with such an amazing group of individuals!

The views of the Ausangate Glacier and the Rainbow Mountain were stunning. We had the whole view to ourselves for a couple of hours! And my favorite experience was camping in the Andes underneath the blanket of stars - it was magical!

We couldn’t have asked for a better team! Despite the rough conditions of the road, David (our driver) drove so safely and smoothly that we slept most of the time during the car ride. Our horseman, Jose, was always lend a helping hand and made sure we were always comfortable. Our super talented Cristobal (our chef) always prepared delicious meals for us. We’re extremely thankful he was able to accommodate the last minute dietary restrictions for us! And lastly, our tour guide Joaquin is absolutely fantastic! Not only he was our guide, he was our personal photographer and videographer! We shared many personal stories, urban myths, laughters and joy!

I would highly recommend this tour with Flashpacker Connect! It may be on the expensive side but totally worth the experience!

This is a great way to experience the Rainbow Mountain as the hike is absolutely stunning, passing the Ausangate glacier. The camp site has shelters where the tents are installed to protect from snow fall. The trail is a extremely quiet. We only saw two other hikers in the two days. And it was great to get to Rainbow Mountain before the crowds. Just be prepared for the cold. I’m skier and so regularly deal with sub-zero conditions but this trip made me feel cold. Luckily the sleeping bags and tent was of excellent quality.

We were taken care of by Joaquin (guide and super hero), William (chef) and Marcelina (horse woman and quite a character). They were all great. Joaquin was very entertaining and also a big help with my altitude sickness. Willian cooked delicious food despite being he limited facilities. The soups in particular were actually tastier than some I had in restaurants. And Marcelina is a woman we will never forget.

Special thanks to Edwin as well for safely driving us. I was able to sleep on the road trips there and back despite the very bumpy roads.

I would definitely recommend the 2 day hike to Rainbow Mountain with Flash Packer for anyone who enjoys a rugged unique experience, a challenge and doesn’t just want to visit a popular tourist destination and leave.

We had an amazing time on the 2 day / 1 night trek to Rainbow Mountain. My friend and I happened to have a private tour because there aren’t many tourists visiting Peru right now (although we felt very safe the entire time) - which meant that there were no crowds on Rainbow Mountain. Our team was Beker as our guide, Mario as our driver, Sergio as our chef, Illario as our horseman. The altitude (16,500 ft) made it an intense hike on the second day - wouldn’t necessarily recommend to beginner hikers - but the views both days were so spectacular. Flashpacker has semi permanent huts in a beautiful valley where we camped and they set up nice tents and really warm sleeping bags and provided great hot meals. We were very well taken care of. It was an incredible experience, I highly recommend Flashpacker.

My friends and I just finished our 2D1N trek to Asungante and Rainbow Mountain. We were accompanied by our tour guide Joaquin, Chef Christopher, Driver David, and Horsemen Jose. We had a fantastic time. Our chef cooked wonderful meals for us, and our tour guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. He took very good care of us, and educated my friends and I with many stories and histories of the Andes people. Overall, it was a one of the most relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable experiences I had in Peru, and I would definitely recommend Flashpacker Connect for future outdoor adventures.

Just returned from this incredible trip! Lots of hiking and some of the most beautiful views in the world. Highly recommended. Mario was a great driver and Christobal cooked delicious vegan food for me. Abel was the best guide ever, even taking me to get my Covid test so I can return to the US. Just book it and thank me later!!

One of the most amazing experiences of our lives. The guide Mijael was fantastic. The cultural experience was phenomenal. We got to know some of the locals. Hiking with the llamas was great. The views were otherworldly. The camping equipment was brand new and very comfortable. The chefs Usario and Julio were top notch and prepared food that was better than restaurants. I highly recommend flashpacker for your mountain experience.

Without a doubt the best travelling experience you will have in Peru.

Flashpacker Connect provided exceptional professional service. Our guide Mijail provided a preliminary safety briefing the day before and ensured we were adequately prepared for the 2 days ahead. He had a unbelievable knowledge of the Ausangate National Park and Rainbow Mountain - we were shown fantastic view points to take pictures and enjoy the setting. Along the way Mijail, in perfect English, taught us about the ecology, biology, geography, history and culture of the National Park. He was the perfect guide and facilitated what was the highlight of our trip to Peru.

Our driver David picked up on time from our Hotel and dropped us back safely - he clearly knew the roads well and provided excellent and timely transportation. We were even provided with blankets and pillows for the early morning pick up!

Over the 2 days we were provided with food and lodging by Eusebio and his staff. All meals were of exceptional quality - all delicious, hearty and perfectly suited to trekking through the Peruvian Alpine setting. Our lodging was set up for us, was exceptionally clean, toasty warm and was situated in the heart of the National Park.

All in all, this was a truly amazing experience and cannot thank Mijail, David and Eusebio enough for providing it. If visiting Cusco, put this at the top of your list!

The trip was absolutely amazing. Beker, our tour guide was absolutely amazing and so was the trip! We had just arrived to Cusco when we were supposed to go (bad idea when it comes to getting accustomed to altitude), but Beker and the rest of the crew were so amazing. They moved around our trip so that we’d be sleeping on lower elevation which definitely made a difference.I had some altitude sickness at the top but our guide was super attentive and made sure i was okay the whole way back as well. The overall place was gorgeous and I learned a few words in Quechua on the way! The guides english was perfect, and so was his knowledge and love for the place we were in. It definitely made a difference in our experience in not only Cusco, but all of Perú. The food, people and sights were something you can’t miss if you can make it. Tupananchiscama y sulpaiki!

This route took us through a beautiful valley leading up to Ausangate mountain and Ausangate Glacier. Breathtaking views, seeing local inhabitants living in secluded areas along the way raising alpacas and llamas.

Our guide Miguel was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. The locals who helped him were also very kind and friendly. After spending the night at the high camp we decided proceed to Rainbow Mountain as it was snow covered and a few people in our group were not feeling well, so we collectively decided to descend and return to Cusco. That being said we still very much enjoyed out trek and highly recommend this adventure.
