This hike was an unforgettable experience and our guide Juan Carlos made it even better. From encouraging us along the way to teaching us the history of the lake and area once we reached the top, he made the day trip absolutely worth it.

One of the most amazing experiences we have ever had. Our tour guide Yaritza was top notch from contacting us the day before to arranging everything ahead of time. Shuttle to train, train tickets, bus tickets and entrance to Machu Picchu. First class all the way bypassing any long line ups. She really knows her stuff regarding the Inca history and was very patient while doing the Huayna Picchu hike and even encouraged me to take little breaks to get my breath. I can’t say enough about her, she was like having a good friend along with us for this tour! Highly recommended taking this tour and hopefully you could get Yaritza as your guide as well.

As a solo female traveller, I can't say enough about the team at Crossover Peru and 57 Hours. They were amazing! They made the planning effortless and ensured a seamless experience from start to finish. Our guide, Luz, was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable, kind and quick to encourage us and to celebrate our achievements. This trek not only included beautiful hiking and panoramic vistas, but also gave us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the culture; from participating in farming activities in a local community to roasting coffee at a plantation in the high jungle. Throughout the trek, our guide, Luz, was there to support us, answer questions and share her knowledge of the local communities and environments. The accommodations were superb and I don't think I have ever eaten so well on a trek. If I could give the trip six stars, I would. Highly recommend!

The dark turquoise color of the lake with the glacier overhanging it, made for a one of a kind view. As I was still adjusting to the altitude, I did need to stop and catch my breath quite a few times, but I enjoyed the chance to push myself. It was well worth it in the end.

Had an absolute incredible experience. The weather was perfect which made for excellent photos. Judy was my tour guide, and I could not recommend her more. I experienced some troubles with the altitude coming from Florida, and Judy was encouraging and patient. She knew a lot about the area and all the best photo spots.

This was absolutely one of the best day tours I've ever experienced. Our guide, Roland, was an outstanding companion and conversationalist, and a wealth of information about the areas we visited. We walked through a great local market, where we bought some food, which we brought to the home of a lovely woman and her young son. Not only was it touching and fascinating to learn about her life, but I was pleased that the company brought her groceries and approached the visit in a respectful manner. If you want to better understand a neighborhood that is rarely seen by tourists, you should definitely take this tour.

This was my first solo hiking tour and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's difficult to put into words how incredible this journey was for me and I have Crossover Peru to thank for that. Our guide, Yaritza, shared her love and knowledge of Cusco, Peru, and the Inca Trail with us every step of the way. She prepared us, walked with us and laughed with us and I miss her as much as the other wonderful women I had the pleasure of sharing this experience with. The real heroes of the trail were our porters and chef. Damian's team of porters were amazing as they ran by us carrying everything we needed to eat and camp for 4 days, cheered when we made it to our campsite each day and then woke us each morning with a cup of hot tea. I hadn't put a lot of thought into what we would be eating on the trail but to my surprise the food and variety was over the top. Our chef, Carmelo, is a master in creating delicious food and the presentation made us ooh and aah at every meal. Thank you to everyone at Crossover Peru for a wonderful experience.

Our trail guide, Yaritza was amazing!!!! I couldn’t imagine not having her with us. The train was derailed when we finished the trail and she was able to get us back to Cusco safely. The trail was amazing, the food was way better than advertised, our Chef was Carmelo! I would highly recommend.

I recently just got back from the All Women’s four day, three night Inca Trail trek with Crossover Peru. It was by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Our guide Yaritza, met us in Cusco two days before the trek to go over all details and explanations of what we would expect. She made sure everybody was fit enough by taking us on a small hike through the hills of Cusco at 11,000 feet. Not only did we get to see some amazing neighborhoods, but it was a great way to get to know everybody before the trek actually began. The next day we headed to the sacred Valley, where we spent the afternoon with one of the local weaving communities, it was a culturally rich experience, and we felt honored to be part of that group for the day. Once the trek began, we were able to see firsthand the amazing team that Crossover Peru assembled for this trip. Damien and his porters did such a great job of taking care of us from start to finish. Every detail was thought of and taken care of. They were efficient but also very kind and seeing how hard they worked was a truly humbling experience. The chef Carmela created miracles at every meal, we were always impressed with how delicious the food was, and how well presented it was. Yaritza did a fantastic job, not only guiding us, but creating really memorable experiences with little offerings that we could bring to Machu Picchu, which made the trip very special for all of us. She offered great information and personal experiences, helping us understand more about the Country and the culture we were in, that really made the trip enjoyable and made us all feel a deep connection to the journey we were on. Oh my goodness. Where to start??? Yaritza and Zoraida were our amazing guides and they made the Inca Trail a fun and memorable experience! They were positive and encouraging and really wanted to get to know each of the people in the group. Carmelo served the most epic meals- every one of them blew my mind how they were prepared with no kitchen! Lorenzo and his whole group of porters were absolutely amazing and thought of our needs before we even asked. So thankful for this epic adventure and would highly recommend this group to anyone!

Our guides Yaritza and Zoraida did an amazing job trying to keep us on schedule even with hurdles along the way. Our chef Carmelo pulled on his tricks on those luscious foods and yummy desserts! Not too mention the porter we had! Cheering us up even when they did all the heavy lifting!!! Overall it was a once in a lifetime experience I will definitely cherish forever. From the start, the trip was very well organized by the team at Crossover Peru. Day 1, our guide, Yaritza, met our small group of women at the hotel in Cusco to make sure we were well informed and had the supplies we needed for our adventure. she took us on a mini hike through the city to get acclimated to the altitude and we had dinner at an amazing local restaurant. During the hike I was so inspired by Yaritza’s passion for the history and culture of the Inca civilization, her country, and the historical sites. We all learned so much from her as we made our trek through lush cloud forests, high-altitude passes, and ancient Inca ruins. The Crossover Peru team of porters, led by Javier, took very good care of us throughout the hike. They set up and broke down camp each day, carried our tents and supplies in huge packs up the mountain. It was so amazing each day to arrive at our camp after an exhausting day of hiking to find a delicious meal prepared by Chef Remigio (Remi) and crew. Chef Remi even planned for desserts! I found the trail itself to be pretty technical and challenging. Each day we kept a pretty steady hiking pace with breaks along the way to take in the vast beauty of the Andes and snap photos. Altitude sickness is a real thing. Be prepared and bring a prescription. I am glad I did. Yaritza made sure we stayed hydrated and safe on the trail. We were very lucky to have dry weather. In May the nights were cold but the days warmed up quickly. Having layers to put on or take off was key. Reaching Machu Picchu on the final day was an awe-inspiring experience. We woke early at 3:30 a.m. in order to be one of the first to arrive to the Sun Gate which provided a breathtaking first glimpse of the ancient city. As we reached Machu Picchu, Yaritza brought the history and significance of Machu Picchu to life for us by sharing her personal experiences and family stories.
