Stop: 10 hours - Admission included
The tour starts with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 5:00am and drive to Ollantaytambo train station in our private transport. Enjoy the first views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On your arrival to Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting for you and board the bus up to Machu Picchu to enjoy an amazing private guided tour of Machu Picchu for about 2 hours then enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Later board the train back to Ollantaytambo where our private transport will be waiting for you and take you back to your hotel located in Cusco. • Train times may change according the booking time and will be provided according the train company timetable availability. Important note about Machupicchu: The Peruvian Ministry of Culture changes the rules to Visit Machupicchu and split into 2 entrance times. • AM Entrance: from 6 am – 12 pm. • PM Entrance: from 11 am – 17.30 pm. Visitors must leave the site within the time frame stated, and cannot re-enter once visitors have left the site. Visitors and guides who don’t enter and leave within the time frame stated, will be assisted to the exit by the competent authorities! You have been warned. • For the full day tour, we will be visiting into the second schedule (11:00am to 17:30) as the first schedule (6:00 to 12:00) won't be convenient because the visit time could be too short like 2 hours only.

BEST tour

They picked us up from the hotel lobby, explained how the day was going to go and what to expect. Made sure we had no questions. Ramon our driver went above and beyond and got us to the gate of the train station by foot because there were too many cars to get through. Then after the train ride our guide Michael met us and took us through many historical sites, along the way stopping at the best sites for pictures and was able to answer whatever questions we had. Overall great experience. Was way better booking private. Felt completely safe and secure, stress free, which is important when traveling in another country. Don’t hesitate, book with them. You won’t regret it!

The BEST

The owner met us in the lobby of our hotel and explained how our day would go. Asked us if we had any questions, introduced us to our personal driver, who then took us to the train station. There was so much traffic when we got to the train station. The driver parked his car and walked us up to the gate where they took our ticket and we loaded the train. Michael met us as soon as we got off the train and led us around Machu Picchu including many historical facts. He took as many pictures as we wanted and pointed out some good spots as well. I cannot say enough about how incredible this experience was. This company made us feel as if we were in good hands from start to finish. It was a huge help and took much stress off of traveling in a foreign country. It made our family vacation that much more enjoyable.

A (compact) tour to Machu Picchu

It's been my second time to Machu Picchu. I'd rather recommend taking the two day tour (which I did last year) as the ratio of time spent in the car and train compared to being in Aquas Caliente and visiting Machu Picchu is quite exhausting. Give yourself some time and enjoy it even more.

Fredi and his team were doing an amazing job again. Very well prepared, super punctual and always willing to help. If you spend some time around Cusco, book one of their trips.

Perfect experience; highly recommend

Perfect experience. Bryan was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable & friendly. Everything was smooth from the pick up in the morning, train ride, to the drop off at the end of the night. I would highly recommend this tour if you prefer to take on Machu Picchu without a 10-20 person group! Well worth the money spend.

Once in a lifetime experience with one of a kind tour guide Miguel

This was my first time in South America and first time seeing one of the 7 wonders of the world. We had Miguel guiding us and he genuinely made the experience. He told us about history, took professional photos and showed us everything we could see at Machu Picchu. From there he brought us back into town and even got us on an earlier train to go back to Cuzco.

Miguel was the MVP of the trip. After spending time with him on this tour I completely understand why everyone knows him and says hi whenever he is around. No better guide to see Machu Picchu with than him!

This was a great experience all around. Fredi was a very good organizer and helped us schedule everything we wanted. Michael was a fantastic host for Machu Picchu and was super knowledgeable about the region. He even went above and beyond to help us change the time of our train tickets. Overall a great experience!

The tour was an excellent way to get to and from the site, as well as a very informative private tour at the Machu Picchu ruins. My hotel pickup was confirmed the day before and my driver (Jhordy Mendicabal) was on time and provided all the further information and tickets required. It is about a 90 min drive to Ollantaytambo, then a 90 min train ride (I took the Vistadome option which is like premium economy (the Hiram Bingham is more like business class)). At the end of the train ride I was met by a sign holding staff member who guided me to the bus (about a 20 min trip up to Machu Picchu) where I met my private tour guide Victor (took a little bit of finding in the crowds). Victor was extremely knowledgeable and validated my decision to go with a private tour guide - with the ability to ask questions and receive answers directly as more or less a continuous conversation as we moved through the ruins. Victor also had a number of historic photos which brought into perspective what the site looked like when it was rediscovered in the early 1900s. Two hours at the site itself is about right to see all of the ruins without rushing. Once back at Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu town) I had the included buffet lunch at the very nice Ayasqa restaurant where I also killed some time in the comfortable entrance lounge area before heading to the train station (via the shops). The trip home was quite smooth with travel times replicating the outward journey. The trains were right on time there and back (very efficient) and Jhordy my driver was there to meet me at Ollantaytambo and drive me the 90 mins back to Cusco. Special thanks to Jhordy given the amount of driving he had to do to support my trip. Overall an excellent experience.
