Having lived in Peru and travelled to Cusco on several occasions I have high expectations and know what to expect. From the moment I contacted Fredi, he was in regular communication with me to organize my trip and made any changes to our itinerary to accommodate our travel plans. Our guide Gary was excellent, always punctual, very knowledgeable with a good level of English as my friend spoke/understood very limited Spanish. Everything worked like clock work, and had no real issues. One small hiccup was rectified very quickly while we sat and had a coffee. Our drivers in Cusco Victor and Daniel were good, even ended up having a nice chat with Victor. Unfortunately we were unable to visit the rainbow mountains as the government closed it due to disagreements between to local communities so an alternative plan was put into place which gave us beautiful sights of the Andes. Everything in Puno and Lake Titicaca worked out well. All the accommodations were to a good standard, clean, comfortable beds, hot showers with good water pressure. I will be recommending Fredi and his company to friends looking to visit, well worth every penny especially as it is supporting a local business with local employees. Thanks for the experiences in a magical part of the country.

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had. My boyfriend has toured around Cusco/Machu Picchu before but since this was my first time and his parents we chose to go with tour instead of exploring on our own. The package comes with transportation and hotel accommodations so it was really nice not having to worry about where we're going to stay and how we'll arrive to each destination. All of the hotels we stayed at were all very nice as well! It does provide an accurate layout of what the package includes and what it doesn't (ex. meals, admission ticket, etc.).
Right when we landed in Cusco (from Lima) we were greeted by our driver (Roman) and Fredi (Manager) who were so welcoming. Fredi provided us our itinerary and ran through the schedule with us. Michael was our guide for the Cusco portion, Gary was our guide for Machu Picchu, and for Lake Titicaca/Puno we had local guides. All of our guides for the trip were phenomenal. My boyfriend and his parents are Peruvian so they had some background knowledge to the history and culture but even they learned a lot from the guides! I really appreciated that our guides took the time to explain everything in both english and spanish for all of us to understand. I'd highly recommend Machu Picchu Latin America Tours if you're considering it. All the staff members were all very friendly and professional! I had an amazing time and it was all thanks to them!

This tour done by Machu Picchu Latin America was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. Fredi and his team of guides and drivers gave my family and I an unforgettable experience. The service was top notch and we were at all times taken care of during and after the 6 days from the moment our plane landed in Cusco until we left. Fredi was always attentive to any questions I had through an easy WhatsApp message and was accommodating for any changes required. Michael and Gary were two guides we had that were amazing at story telling as we visited the Incan ruins and Machu Picchu and kept us captivated throughout the entire tour. We would definitely recommend using them for anyone planning a trip to Peru!

This was a good tour and allowed us to see a great deal of Peru in a short period of time. The guides and drivers were always punctual, spoke English well and very informative. The hotels were decent in good locations as we were always near the center of town. My only minor issue was that we chose to fly out of Juliaca on our last day rather than take the bus back to Cusco. We received our itinerary and it indicated we would be picked up at the hotel at 5:00 pm. I asked our coordinator if we would be able to stay in our room until that time and he told us it would be okay. So, I was a little surprised when I received a call from the front desk clerk at 10:00 am telling us it was check out time and that we needed to pay $40 to stay in the room. That was okay, I just wish I had known in advance. Also, the driver taking us to the airport called and said due to traffic problems he would be taking us to the airport at 4:00 pm. (Our flight left at 8:10 pm). We ended up in the tiny Juliaca airport 3 hours early, the check in desks were not even open, and we had a very long international flight out of Lima ahead of us. Other than that it was truly a very good experience and I would recommend this tour.

It was a well-planned and fun experience. I flew into Cusco late because of a flight delay, and the trip advisor Fredi pushed my tour dates backward immediately. Very helpful and accommodating of my other itinerary adjustments as well.
I highly recommend families going because there are no physically demanding activities. I went solo and didn’t speak the language, but the driver Abel is friendly, made me feel safe, and took me everywhere safely. Tour guide Gary for my sacred valley and Machu Picchu days was very knowledgeable and considerate. Answered all my questions about the cultures there and even recommended books for me to read after traveling.
The last 2 days I got to visit the beautiful lake Titikaka and relax a bit. Unfortunately, I forgot to do my covid test on time for my returning flight so I had to stay in Lima for another day (not as fun as Cusco IMO). Overall, fun and safe trip. Beautiful nature and beautiful ruins. I had plenty of time to explore the cities on my own and meet new people as well.

I booked this tour in December 2020 for a July 2021 departure hoping Covid-19 restrictions would be lifted. Luckily we where able to do everything the tour described.
1. Fredi, our tour organizer, was just the best. He sent me a list of hotels to choose for the 5 nights. I was very happy with this communication as I enjoyed knowing the accommodations ahead of time so there where no surprises. We chose the Tierra Viva in all stops, best hotel ever! They helped us order food delivery as we don't speak Spanish.
2. Michael and Percy, our tour guides, were very personable and made us feel like VIP's. Answered our questions, gave us time to explore on our own at Manchu Picchu. We would have liked to take an earlier train back.
I would completely recommend this tour company. They created a great experience for a great price.

the best tour we have ever done , very well organized, freddy and michael went way above and beyond to make this an amazing trip for us, was very personal , he was always available for any request and questions, i felt very comfortable with him after the very first time talking to him 10 days before our trip , i don't normally book tour since i don't like tour schedule but this one was an exception and i can not imagine being in peru without them ( michael and Fredi) i felt they were friends . it was way better than expected , we have 10 people in our group and we were all satisfied with they service , peru is a very safe place to be even during this pandemic and they made it very safe and memorable trip . We highly recommend using Omar Acuna, an excellent guide of Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Pachu. His knowledge of these areas is excellent.
Little things like timely starting of our tours was flawless. We toured with him in October/November 2019.

Enjoyed exploring Peru with this company. Had a good schedule to show you around the cities, visiting all the major sites. I was on a tour which only included myself, so I basically had a private 6 day tour. I would have probably postponed this because i travel to meet other people, but nevertheless it was still a good experience.
Michael was my guide for the first few days. Very nice, very accommodating, very knowledgeable and fun to be around. His English was good so i was about to have some nice conversations with him on the journey.
The trip to Lake Titicaca was long, being in the back on a car alone just driving through the country … again now quite what i would have wanted to experience, but getting to Puno it was worth it.
Accommodating was fine, you were in good locations to find good food, and all the sites were fascinating and very impressive. The people of Peru were wonderful.
If you are a solo traveller hoping to join a tour to meet other people, maybe ask if anyone else is signed up before booking…or you could be a little disappointed having to spend all of the down time alone. Otherwise, this is a great tour to be on to get a great feel of the country.
Appreciate this is a challenging time for everyone with COVID making it harder to travel - but maybe now is a good time to go before all the crowds come and it becomes a holiday of queues and wait lists again. Thanks Team.

Dear Maryse,
Thank you for taking your time for your'e leaving your much valuable feedback.
We are truly committed to providing on all of our tours quality; small or very large groups. We have recently begun expanding in offering private tours. We do our best to have these tours booked to full capacity. However, there are times we can’t.
Interactions are encouraged and mingling is also encouraged. We are committed to honor all our departures no matter if there is just one person at the time of travel but in the near future we will decide promptly whether we will depart, postpone, and or cancel that trip to make sure to match with your standards and or needs.
As our contract dictated we rendered all services and even went beyond to provide the best experience as possible changing from group tour into a private tour at no additional cost.
We hope to continue to work with yourself and possible a larger party in the near future.
Sincerely yours,
Machupicchu Latin America

What an adventurous trip with our friends whom we adore and an amazing tour with Machupicchu Latin America. It's once a lifetime adventure trip we had ever experienced. Freddy and Micheal went above and beyond to accommodate and cater to our needs in every way. But the most impressive was they have a big heart. On our way to our destination, they knew there would be kids who need attention, preparing it for them. Peru has so many cultures, mountains and the people are so friendly. There is so much to see and experience. We all had an amazing time and so much laughter and, boy, so so much climbing up and down the mountains. I thought I was going to pass out. The most memorable moment was seeing Rainbow Mountain in person. The most beautiful and breathtaking scenes I have ever seen. I highly recommended Machuppiccu Latin America tour company. You will be glad that you did.

is there an email address for the ageny I can contact them on? I'd like to find out if rainbow mountain tour is included or can be added on? thanks!
I've been in group tours before, my concern is when restroom or lunch breaks take a lot of the time away from actually exploring. Does it involve alot of time traveling while visiting all these locations ? Need some guidance ? Thank you in advance .

We were in a private car for the sacred valley part of the trip so didn’t have to deal with groups. On the bus trip, there were designated stops and the towns were very small and with a group of 15 we had more than enough time at each stop...some could have been shorter. At Lake Titicaca, the restaurant was on an island and in my opinion there was ample time to walk around before the show and boarding the boat. It really depends on your definition of what ample time is.

Hello hoping you can help me,
I’m looking at booking this tour for July this year and have a few questions. First is it guaranteed to depart on the dates booked and are both tours listed for selection the same? Best of Peru and Peru Highlights? Is the only difference one has the home stay option?
Look forward to hearing from you and booking the trip ASAP.
Kind Regards

Hi Kylie,
As the other reviewer mentioned, we booked through Machu Picchu Latin America. As far as I know the specific multi-day tour advertised here is exactly as it is described and I don't know that there are two different options unless you talk to them and specify what you would like. The dates are guaranteed. You do have the option of a home stay, but you have to let them know ahead of time. I would definitely contact the company, I communicated with Freddi, who is really nice and he can help you plan out your trip exactly how you want it. We upgraded many things and included/excluded some things as well. They are very accommodating and yes, you do end up with other groups, but the company does EVERYTHING for you, all you have to do is follow their directions : )
Have a great trip!

How do I upgrade hotel and vista dome train before I book the trip online?
What are the upgrade costs?
Can I book the trip the way it is shown shown and make changes and extra payments later?
And who do I contact todo that?
Thank you,

Hello,
the way to upgrade the hotel and dome train, including other things that they offer, is by contacting them (I tried to type their email address, but the system wouldn't let me, please try to look around on their description for the tour, it is there, that's how I found it. Their company name is Machu Picchu Latin America) We specifically talked to Fredi for everything from beginning to end and he is great.
Upgrade costs vary depending on what you would like, 4 or 5 star hotels, I'd suggest to contact them.
They do offer some of the upgrades available to pay later, but I am not sure which ones exactly, sorry.
I hope this helps. Have a great trip! It's amazing!

Gracias!!

We bought the trip thru Viator:
"Best of Peru 6-Day Cusco, Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca Tour".
Fredi was the first person that contacted us before we arrived in Cusco. There were different travel agents for every each step and everything was perfectly planed, organized and on time.
What is the size of the tour? That is, what is the average number of tourists on the tour? Thank you
