About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 919joaoj0 contributionsAmazing. Can’t recommend enoughAmazing experience. Met amazing people during the trip and our guide was really knowledgeable about the trail. He helped with prices, food and lodging. The culture and activities are unforgettable.Written October 9, 2024
- H7273JLjamesn0 contributions4 day Inca trailHad an amazing 4 days with the group and with our tour guide Armando. He explained and showed us a lot of traditions/rituals Would definitely recommend to anyone!Written October 6, 2024
- Belmontejc0 contributionsMachu Picchu, life changing experience! My experience was amazing, it was more than what I was expecting. It was a life changing experience. Our tour guide Luis, was great. He’s passion for his culture and friendliness made the experience even more memorable, from the first day until we arrive in Machu Picchu,Written October 5, 2024
- B4296XOzachd0 contributions5 starsThis 4-day Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu was an incredible experience, made even better by our fantastic guide, Luis. He is very passionate for Inca history and culture, and was a wealth of knowledge, sharing information about Inca customs and their way of life, which deepened our appreciation for Machu Picchu and its significance. Luis made sure we were well-prepared for our visit to Machu Picchu, explaining the daily lottery system for the different viewing levels and advising us that for a chance to secure the top circuit it would require waking up early and hiking fast the day before. We enjoyed delicious meals prepared by local establishments along the way, adding an authentic touch to our journey. The accommodations were basic, as expected on a trekking adventure. If you're accustomed to camping, you'll feel right at home. However, if you prefer more comfortable lodging, it's something to consider. Highly recommended for those seeking an authentic and immersive Inca Trail.Written October 5, 2024
- Ardgeel0 contributionsChallenging but fun! This trip was challenging but fun! There is so much packed into the 4 days and the price is very reasonable. What we liked most about this tour was that even though it was a lot of hiking, there were other fun activities added in also like Mountain Biking, hot springs, zip lining. Luis our guide was full of knowledge and made sure all of the group were having a good time. Thanks to Luis and the team for making it such an unforgettable experience!Written October 4, 2024
- 868matthieua0 contributionsInca Jungle trailThe trip was amazing! The views were great and we met a lot of nice people. Our guide Gustavo made sure we all had an amazing experience ⛰️🇵🇪Written October 1, 2024
- Scngoh0 contributionsA Must When Visiting Peru!!This tour was amazing. Luis was an incredible tour guide, sharing his personal experience with Incan culture and facilitating the jam-packed itinerary with ease. If needed, he translated for us in restaurants and even helped to serve us food each day and night after leading multi-mile hikes. I had great conversations with Luis—he's just an all around genuine guy working hard for his family and passionate about Incan culture and the Peruvian ecology. As for the tour activities--it was an amazing value. For around $400 USD (including $30 for optional ziplining, $30 for optional guided white water rafting, and two optional short van rides), we were able to get 3 nights of hotel stays, 9 meals, tickets to Machu Picchu, train ticket home, and multiple van rides between activities. People who complain about the "extra costs" should read the description to understand what is and isn't included. People who book last minute (less than 2 weeks ahead) should also understand that some itinerary flexibility is required, and it's honestly incredible that we were able to get tickets at the last minute with Luis's experience with the process. (We were panicking about flying to Peru and not being able to get in to Machu Picchu and are so thankful it worked out.) Overall, if you want to hike the Incan trail, stay in a cool eco house and sample the region's coffee and foods, get pictures under waterfalls and jump from a cliff during white water rafting, take part in a beautiful Incan religious ceremony, zipline between mountains, and of course, see the splendid Machu Picchu with a great tour guide (arranged by Luis), you won't regret this!! Thank you, Luis!!Written September 28, 2024
- Connector432136798300 contributionsGreat value provided by an exceptional guideThis Peruvian tour was an incredible value. For a surprisingly low price, our guide, Luis, packed more activities into four days than I've experienced on two-week vacations. Mountain biking was a highlight. The hiking trails were challenging and fun, and it was incredibly convenient having Luis coordinate our transportation between activities each day. Whitewater rafting was a thrilling experience, even for those new to the sport. This tour is perfect for active travelers looking to maximize their time. The hike to Machu Picchu was unforgettable. Luis was an exceptional guide, with the experience and flexibility to adjust our plans as needed. Since most of our group booked last-minute, he quickly rearranged our schedule to ensure we had tickets for Machu Picchu. His planning skills were impressive, and his dedication to ensuring a smooth experience was evident as he frequently coordinated our next adventure. When someone in our group asked about getting fresh cuy (guinea pig), he arranged to have the eco house owner make it fresh there. Luis seemed to have a contact for anything which was amazing. I highly recommend all the additional excursions offered. While some reviews have criticized the extra cost, it's clearly outlined in the tour description. Considering the overall value of the trip, the additional activities are still a great deal.Written September 28, 2024
- Cruiser106957599720 contributionsBest Tour EverAmazing experience from start to finish, I could not have imagined doing this trip any other way, I'm so glad I got to do this experiment along with zip lining, cycling downhill with panoramic views, hot springs all just things along the way to the world wonder, it's an experience that changes your life and I really learned from doing this it's not about the destination but it's the journey and the experience you have pushing yourself to new levels everyday. If I go to Cusco again I will do this whole trip again with the same company. Excellent experience thank you 😊Written September 25, 2024
- Gianna K0 contributionsThe best trip I've had in a long timeThis tour was so much fun. We took part with 2 larger groups (German & French) and had a lot of fun. We were able to learn a lot about the culture, customs and ceremonies. The first accommodation was in the jungle and was very exciting. Although all the accommodation was not luxurious, it was perfectly adequate and the nature of the tour made up for it. Our guide Luiz had a lot to say and took good care of us. I can only recommend it.Written September 23, 2024
- P4810MKmarieo0 contributionsPerfect tripIt was an amazing trip! We learned how to make coffee, met super nice people and hiked a beautiful route. We even did a ceremony for Pachamama and learned a lot about the culture. Our guide Luiz always listened to us and changed the plans if we wanted to. Would always do it again!Written September 23, 2024
- Q1491TEmariona0 contributionsGreat adventure! Peru won my heartI would absolutely recommend this trip to those seeking an adventure. Armando was our tour guide and he did an excellent job teaching us about his culture and guiding the group through the Inka trail. The days were long and jammed packed but I wouldn’t change a thing. Some pro trips for those considering to do this tour: 1) pack light you will be carrying your bag with you on the 4 days. You can leave luggage at your hotel and just bring a light back pack for 4 days of clothes 2) bring your toiletries ie: soap, shampoo/ conditioner and extra toilet paper for times you may have to go in nature 3) bring good sturdy walking shoes & a camelback for hydration it will come in handy 4) Insect repellent is a must !! 5) cash in soles is the way to go for buying water and snacks along the trail — most places don’t take cardsWritten September 16, 2024
- 805elvinc0 contributionsRemarkable ExperienceThis 4-day trip has been one of the most gratifying and humbling experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Our tour guide, Armando, went above and beyond from start to finish, and honestly, it wouldn’t have been the same without him. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure.Written September 15, 2024
- emilalb_rf20240 contributionsFantastic experience!Amazing tour with lovely new friends and our fantastic guide Luis Armando. He both showed, explained and taught us a lot about the wild and beautiful environment in the jungle and mountains. In addition, he involved us in exciting local rituals and made sure that we all had a good time along the way. Fantastic experience that can only be recommended!!Written September 15, 2024
- Davood G0 contributionsTruly amazingRoad cycling, rafting, zip lining and lots of trekking in some of the most beautiful sceneries I have ever witnessed have left me reinvigorated, and grateful for being able to do that. Peru is a very diverse country with an intimate relation between its nature and culture over thousands of years. Luis is a friendly and very informative guide who does a great job at making sure everyone is having a fabulous time. His impressive time management skills is also helpful in making this activity-packed trip as enjoyable as possible. P.S. The breakfast we had at the Monkey Lodge was one of the best I’ve ever hadWritten September 10, 2024

Opted to do a bike trip with Inkas Destination - 2 adults, 2 kids (12,15). Unbelievable scenery - cycling backroads to see local communities, farms, lakes, all with the tremendous Andies as a back drop. Guides were excellent (Luis, Jon) - good attention to safety, knowledgeable, kind, hard-working, accommodating to my 12 year old, who was a bit slower than the others in our group. Loved our lunch spot - authentic Peruvian with an unbeatable view of the mountains and delicious food. Only a few words of advice: you will need to pay entrance fee to Moray, 70s per person, so bring cash! Our trip started at 9 and ended at 5pm, although we thought it was a 5 hour trip... so don’t make early evening plans. Lunch was late, so bring snacks - high altitude, exercise, teenagers - hungry! Inkas Destination could consider bringing a mid-morning snack for their guests - would be so appreciated. Approaching the end of a 16 day Peru trip - so far that biking trip was my favorite day!

Thank you for your comment,
I am glad that your whole family has already had a beautiful experience with the Mara Moray tour, as you know this tour is an adventure tour where you can not prevent or require children to accelerate as an adult and not cut off the fun of the ride in bike through the Andes and Sacred Valley, a thousand apologies for the delay in lunch, and in the future we will do that this delay will not happen again.
But the best is that all family enjoyed in the Maras moray biking tour.
Thanks.

Our guide Armando and the driver were super helpful! We had an amazing time.
Though it was my first mountain biking experience, I feel safe and supported by the guide all the time. He gave me little tips about cycling through these bumpy hills.
The guide Armando is very knowledgeable and he feels proud of sharing us things related to the Inka culture. We experienced the locals’ way of showing respect to the mountains, learned about the inka symbols. It was such a beautiful experience, I really appreciate it!

Louis was super responsive and very helpful in organising a biking tour last minute. This company is one of the only ones that will let you book for just 2 people, includes lunch and is very reasonably priced. It meant we actually had a private guide which was so helpful.
Italo, our guide, had great knowledge about the area and the trails. He was clearly super passionate about biking and sorted a flat tire super quickly. Lunch was great.

After doing a lot of sightseeing by bus I was up for some excersise. I decided to join the biking tour with Inkas Destination and I don't regret this choice. We were in a group of 10 people incuding two guides, one guide drives up front and one guide follows the last biker. It was 60% downhill and 40% going up. If you want you can go quiet fast downhill. Uphill isn't very steep, the only thing making it a bit tough is the altitude which makes it harder to breath.
The equipment as well as the body protection was really good. The bike has springs on the back and front which makes it really comfortable to bike on bumpy roads. The scenery you are biking in is amazing, you get out of the city and drive through endless fields where the locals are working.
During the bike trip you visit Moray and Salineras de Maras, simply beautiful places you have to visit while you are in Cusco. It's also nice that you can rest a bit from the bike ride during these visits.
Make sure you bring some head protection for the sun and sun cream. You are basically the whole day exposed to the sun! Don't hesitate to bring a backpack and your camera, during the bike trip you can store you stuff in the van.

This was a perfect way to enjoy and get to see more of Cusco first hand. The biking tour was amazing. I tour guide was John and he was great!!! We visited a few towns on our way to biking through Cusco. The first part of the biking tour included a few rolling hills and beautiful scenery. The second part was the part I enjoyed the most!! All downhill and scary as hell if you have never moutain biked before. Once down the hill we ended at the Salt Mines which were beautiful! We had lunch at a little restaurant!! Everything was great!!! Definitely recommend this place!!!
