          Enlightened Soul
Valentin and the Pachamama team exceeded my expectations. I was not certain what was to come or what I would take away from this opportunity to explore Peru, but Valentin’s & Kenny’s extensive knowledge offered everything I didn’t know I needed. Their genuine, passionate delivery and expertise left my heart full, my soul enlightened, and my spirit craving a return trip. This team provided more than a guide for me and the group I was with. The Pachamama experience provided a sharing of their country’s history that could only come from a place of true pride. I have grown thirsty with desire to learn more about the people and culture of Peru. I owe that to the Pachamama experience.

Truly the best guides I have ever had!
I came to Peru on a Yoga retreat and Valentin's Pachamama Journey's was partnered with this retreat. Their professionalism and kindness throughout the trip was unmatched. It's hard to express my full gratitude for this experience, particularly with Pachamama Journey's. Valentin and Kenny spent everyday with our group greeting us with open arms, kind hearts, patience, and ready to teach the beauty of the culture. I was able to truly connect with the land, appreciate the culture, and absorb what Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain had to offer because of them. They facilitated an experience that not only allowed us to see the wonders Peru has to offer but also offer a shift in perspective that I will carry back with me to the states. And for that, I am eternally grateful. I cannot recommend them enough!

Unforgettable Adventures in Peru: Exploring with an Exceptional Crew
What an incredible team to guide us on our yoga journey in Peru! Valentine, with his extensive knowledge about Peru, is always ready to answer any question with humility and humor. When he's occupied with part of the group, Kenny seamlessly steps in to assist and Beto is an amazing driver who made us feel safe, even on the most challenging terrain. The journey exceeded all my expectations and was truly the icing on the mountain top! Thank you, Valentine and team, for revealing the abundant beauties of Peru.

          Best Guides Ever!
I took a group of 17 to Peru for a yoga retreat. Valentin and his team were our guides. He took us to so many amazing places and was so knowledgeable about his country and people. We could ask any question about the history, the language, the rituals, the landscape, and he had the answer. It's obvious he loves his county and what he does, and it shows in the great care he took of us and the pride in sharing his home with us. I would definitely recommed using him and his tour group. Some of us want to come back and do more tours with him!

          Valentin’s Pachumama tour review
Valentin and Kenny ran our tour personally and Beto drove. I believe in this case he worked through the international Yoga organization and I bet they’re glad to have him. His knowledge was bountiful his ability to communicate with everyone in the group was uncanny so we had a great week. Thanks, Valentin.

          Visiting Peru with Valentin
Valentin is outstanding and he is great guide. He introduces you to a whole world of Peru and share his personal experiences. The lunch at the farm was the best, his knowledge of Peru is vast and you enjoy just being with him. He does the best job of giving a good spirit and good connection with the mother nature.

A profoundly moving introduction to Peru
Our experience with Valentin was truly extraordinary. He always hit the right balance between education and entertainment, and was truly masterful in his ability to corral everyone in the group. We had several group members who had physical limitations due to age, illness, or altitude and he always went above and beyond to include everyone and provide an exceptional experience — even renting a motorbike to get someone to the top of Rainbow Mountain! This was definitely one of the most profound and moving travel experiences I’ve had. I encountered people and places that were brand new to me, and I learned so much. Thank you, Valentin, for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Valentin's Pachamama team is the best!
From the outset, Valentin's team were outstanding in recommending and designing our 2 days in & around Cusco, Moras, Moray, Ollyantaytambo, and the 5-day trek to Machu Picchu. The 5 day trek allowed us to fully experience the trek,as well as walk around Machu Picchu twice (different circuits), including hiking up Huayna Picchu, for an outstanding view. The greatest attribute is the team that Valentin has - as well as himself, Zenaida, Lidia, and Kenny were so helpful. Everything was thoughtfully organised and we didnt need to worry about anything. Our trek guide, Saul, was friensly, knowledgeable and passionate about the local history, and we had a great time with him. The rest of the trekking team went out of their way to make our trek special. Thank you all for the amazing time we had. Angie & Chris

Mumbai to Peru -Truly a Wonder of the Workd
We were three couples from Mumbai, who had gone for our children’s graduation to the United States. We all met in Lima where our beautiful Peru holiday started 1) LIMA-3 nights of relaxation, walking around the city, shopping and seeing the most beautiful churches, sightseeing, amazing restaurants- specially the vegan ones, coffee shops, bars and the highlight of our trip eating at Central (A world renowned Michelin star restaurant) 2) AMAZON-2 nights At the most fabulous eco large lodge And a fantastic experience in the jungle with the best guide Yuri (Valentine has the best partners) 3) SACRED VALLEY- 2 nights -One of the best experiences ever-Filled with adventure and an adrenal thrill This is where we met Valentine for the first time as he received us at the airport and was our personal guide for 7 days. 4) CUSCO -4 nights -Loved the Town And everything it had to offer so much, it just wasn’t enough. (Won’t share any detail as you have to experience it all, and it has to be a surprise) Valentine had planned the best holiday for us. Besides being so calm knowledgeable and super accommodating he was great company. We are definitely going to go back and do another holiday with him besides Peru because his other itineraries too of South America sound super inviting and interesting. Vakentine Muchas Gracias 🙏

          A fantastic evening in Cusco.
Cusco by Night is an excellent way to spend an evening and our guide, Jimmy, was an excellent host. We walked at a brisk, but not overly fast pace. Jimmy is everything you'd want in a guide – knowledgeable, detail-oriented, attentive and friendly. We learned a bit about this history of the city and the culture. The complimentary pisco sour was served on a rooftop lounge on one of Cusco's squares. The view was spectacular. We met the van a short time later and we're whisked off to the planetarium. The planetarium experience was awesome. After a brief planetarium show, we went outside to stargaze using three high-powered telescopes. The Southern Cross, Big Dipper and other constellation were visible with the naked eye, but the telescopes added to the experience. We finished the evening at a pollo a la brasa restaurant. The meal was simple, but delicious and the conversation with Jimmy was great. From start to finish, the evening was perfect. The experience was so good because our host was invested in making the experience great. Jimmy loves what he does and it shows. If I ever return to Cusco, I'd book this excursion in a heartbeat.

          Peru with Pachamama
Valentine's planning was immaculate. He guided us on planning our trip as early as February. His suggestions on do's and few dont's were spot on. His suggestions on how to pace our itinerary helped us tremendously. We were greeted by him at Cusco airport with great warmth. Traversing through Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley and rainbow mountain was perfect. Not overdoing excursions and helping us omit duplicate experiences really helped. Organization of the farm to table lunch experience was pleasantly delicious catering to our specific taste buds. Could almost compare the meal to the fantastic dining spread that we enjoyed at Central, Lima (the number one Michellin star restaurant in the world.) Hope to have him organise our future trips to other parts of Peru/Other countries of South America. His knowledge and zest for guiding is truly commendable.

Fabulous trip to Peru with Valentin’s Pachmama tours
We had an excellent trip with Valentin’s Pachama’s tours to Peru. We planned a 8 night/ 9 days itinerary with them covering the Amazon forest, Cusco, Sacred Valley, Macchu Picchu and Rainbow mountain. Valentin is an extremely humble and warm gentleman, always ready to accommodate all our requests and preferences not only whilst planning the trip months in advance but also on the go on ground. The entire itinerary was seamlessly executed. He and his team were always on time with all the promised resources. Valentin accompanied us for all the tours and is extremely well read and informed about the History and culture of one of the Inca civilisation. It was a delight to learn about this history from him. Would highly recommend Peru as a destination and Valentin to help you experience it.

An evening under the stars in Cuzco
Such an interesting thing to do in Cuzco. It was informative and entertaining with excellent views of the stars. Jimmy was so willing to share his knowledge and was great company for the evening. We had to reschedule due to a late arrival and they were very accomodating.

          Stars in Cusco
The Cusco by Night tour was an excellent beginning to our trip in Peru. Kenny showed us around the market and gave a tour of the Plaza de Armas, then we went up to the best roof top to view the city as it was coming alive at night, and tried our first Pisco Sour. The planetarium is small (and cold!) but Kenny and the planetarium crew are very passionate about the stars and it showed. Would highly recommend.

2-days trek to the Vinikunka (Rainbow) Mountain.
We did the 2-days trek to the Rainbow Mountain. The tour was great. Fernando, our guide, was excellent, we felt we were in safe hands the whole time. The crew were awesome, we felt we were well looked after and the meals were outstanding. They were knowledgeable and familiar with the area. We would certainly consider them for future trips and would highly recommend them.

Valentin and Wilbur picked us up at our hotel in Cusco and we were off for a drive to the Sacred Valley. After a quick stop at a scenic overlook with bathrooms, our second stop was Moray, where we learned about the Incan agricultural experiments to determine if crops grew better at different elevations and water levels. This involved a short hike, and was a beautiful spot.

Second stop was a visit to possibly the last Peruvian village hat maker, a very unique experience.

Next we visited the Maras Salt Mines, which is probably something you will never see again. This is how salt is extracted from the Earth, pretty cool. We bought 2 kinds of salt.

Our last stop was to a local woman's house to help her make a couple Peruvian dishes. We diced potatoes and peeled fava beans, tossing the fava bean shells to the floor so her kitchen guinea pigs could eat them. We ate lunch there and then learned about the process of turning alpaca, llama and sheep wool into garments and blankets. This involves dyeing the spun wool with natural substances, and then weaving the patterns. It looks like a very difficult, time-consuming effort. There were items for sale but she doesn't take credit cards or ripped American dollars, and we had minimal soles. An alpaca is also there for photo ops.

Overall, Valentin was a great, knowledgeable guide, having grown up in the Sacred Valley. I would highly recommend this tour. There is a lot of driving around, as these places are spread out a bit. Also, bring some soles if you want to purchase anything, like a hand-made alpaca blanket or sweater.

I am a big researcher, so I spent many many hours looking for the right tour for our one day in the Sacred Valley. Having just returned from Peru yesterday, both my boyfriend and I agreed our tour with Hernan (and the amazing driver) was one of our FAVORITE DAYS of our trip!

Our guide Hernan and driver (I forget his name but he was wonderful!) picked us up in a large air conditioned Mercedes van from our hotel in the Sacred Valley. Hernan and driver were so friendly, knowledgeable and energetic! We felt safe and confident in the fact we were being shown around by true experts! The end of the tour was the best part- two adorable abuelas graciously brought us into their home and weaving co op and had us help them cook a delicious quinoa soap and showed us how to weave from alpaca fur! Truly a memorable and authentic experience.

Overall, the day was amazing- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Valentin Pachamama Journeys tour and tour guide Hernan!

Carlos and his excellent driver Cesar met us on time at our hotel lobby. This tour took us to the salt mines which was far more interesting than I had imagined. Then on to Moray with its perfectly round terraces. We did not do the full hike as my friend was having some difficulty with the altitude. Because it was a private tour we did not have to wait around for other people who might have wanted to do the full hike. Carlos, again, imparted new information regarding all the terraces and the information learned as scientists studied the soil in the terraces. The cooking lesson was sheer fun although not that much of a cooking lesson. They had us dress up in chef's clothes and take pictures. We did participate in peeling potatoes and shelling fava beans for the soup. It was fun to be with a local family in their actual kitchen complete with guinea pigs. When lunch was served we had wonderful delicious soup as well as many other dishes. The yarn cleaning, dyeing and spinning was interesting and fun. They have many nice items for sale so be sure to bring lots of soles as you will want to buy some of the knits or weavings and they do not take dollars or credit cards.

We booked a private tour with this tour group and it turned out to be a really great experience. Our guide was Wilson and he was really accommodating - he was very knowledgeable as well as engaging- his experience showed.
Highlights of the tour included the cooking class and lunch at a traditional Andean home, followed by a demonstration of weaving. The moray ruins were fascinating -Wilson made the theories quite interesting. The maras salt mines are gorgeous - don’t miss them.
The guide went out of his way to accommodate our request to find a SIM card place for us and we appreciated the flexibility!

I cannot express in words how amazing this tour was. First it was a private tour with a guide, driver, my wife, and I which was perfect. Second Valentine (our guide) was amazing in explaining everything that was happening in Peru currently and in the past. Third, we really got to experience the real Peru! Valentine took us to a local woman's house for our cooking and weaving session. We got to see how they lived their day to day lives. The food was amazing! The weaving session was very informative and interesting. Moray was fascinating and again only having the four of us made it very special. Maras salt mines were gorgeous! The chicha was fantastic. Again I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to experience Peru.

Valentin and his team offer a top-notch travel experience. I led two retreats (one retreat for introverts and one for women) in Peru this last month and enlisted Valentin's expertise for both. He went above and beyond in sharing information and stories about his culture, family, Peruvian history, politics, policy issues, and so forth. We loved every place we visited and felt he and his team helped us connect to Peru in a meaningful way. Nilton was a pleasure to get to know and Wilbur was an excellent, safe driver. I look forward to working closely with Valentin's Pachamama Journey's in the future.
