Amazing experience !
wonderful experience! the trip was just perfect. we started with a 4h descent by bike, incredible sensation, then rafting, just great, with guides who accompany you and very fun. After, we go to the jungle with our guide, Jonathan, nice experience. You have to plan for the minimum.
Good night, silence, caring family ! And after, 8 hours of walking in the jungle, wonderful place, very nice, unique landscapes ! Jonathan, our guide, was top, very good knowledge and history of Peru.
The final : the Machu Picchu !! Amazing !
If you like adventures, sports, nature and without the fuss, I recommend this experience.

Adventure of a Lifetime!

So much fun!! Incredible scenery, exhilarating activities and an outstanding tour guide. Eduardo was fun, very knowledgeable and so patient. He was full of information about Machu Picchu and all of the flora and fauna along the way there. His English was good and he was able to translate for us many times. He was a fantastic tour guide and he made the trip so much fun. Every activity was an absolute blast. All of the staff assisting with activities...zip-lines, rafting etc. obviously knew their craft well and enjoyed their jobs. They had a great sense of humor that definitely added to our overall experience.

Adventure of a lifetime
Jan 2021 • Friends
This trek was an amazing experience! Eduardo was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about everything we encountered. He answered all our questions and even helped with interpreting at times. Our trek was the first week of January, which was also a peak time for COVID-19. Eduardo was diligent with Covid precautions each day of the trek. He made sure to remind us to wear our masks in small towns, sanitize our hands regularly and prompted us to use our face shields when needed. We felt very safe and well taken care of with Eduardo as our tour guide.

The downhill biking was thrilling and relatively easy. The intermittent rain made the experience even better. The company bus/van follows everyone as they bike down the mountain.

The rafting was initially scary, but a very fun experience. The company went over all the safety precautions and provided all the necessary gear. 5 minutes after being on the raft, your fear will subside, and you will love every minute of it!

There is a FULL day of hiking on this trek. It’s not a simple nature walk either. I would say more than half of the hike is at an incline. If you aren’t an avid hiker, I would definitely train for this trek. The views are beautiful and the foliage is vibrant. You will be exhausted after this full day of hiking, but you will feel so proud that you did it!

The zip-lining was so fun! A little bit of a hike to get to some of the spots, but well worth it once you are flying above a river and through the jungle.

The food throughout the trek was delicious! You always had enough to eat and it was always fresh! I didn’t expect to be so pleased with the meals, but I can honestly say the food was a trek highlight!

On the final day, Eduardo accompanied us to Machu Picchu and did a wonderful job at explaining its history and architecture.
This trek was an adventure of a lifetime!

Things to know:

- The tour company can safely store your luggage.

- Pack light, you will have to carry everything you need for the 4-day trek. We each carried a backpack. (If you are lucky, you may be able to have someone take your backpack to the next city on the hiking day. Be sure to ask your guide about this.)

-The showers might be cold.

-If you are scared of heights, this might not be the trek for you.

- You NEED sunscreen and mosquito repellent.

- Take a poncho if you are going during the rainy season.

CHOOSE THIS TOUR COMPANY AND THIS TREK!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Perfect trek option
I’m glad I chose this trek over the Salcantay or Inca trail options. There was still a good 15km walking in different landscape/terrain but we got to do cool stuff too and sleep in a decent bed each night. It was really hot so any more walking than this wouldn’t have been that enjoyable, in the round. I would recommend the tour company chooses a quieter hotel location for the last night, but other than that it was all great and our guide Jonathan was excellent and caring and did all he could to make sure you had the best time.

A must do when you are in Peru, especially thanks to our guide Jimmy. During the trip he explained much about the Inca history while he guided us through beautiful landscapes and ditto Inca pathways and buildings.

If you have the chance to join when in Peru, don't think twice and just do it. Promise you won't regret it.

Great experience
The 4-day trip was an unforgettable experience. We received a briefing one day before the start of the trip, and were picked up promptly the next morning for the biking experience. All four days were very unique and featured amazing insights into the Peruvian & Inca culture, as well as the people and nature of the country. Our tour guide, Walter, certainly helped to make this an amazing experience, and answered all our questions thoroughly. All accommodations and meals were fine, in particular the first night in the local house. This trip is great for people who don’t want to hike four days to get to Machu Picchu but get there in a very adventurous way. Thanks again!

Inca Jungle Tour
Aug 2019 • Couples
We did the Inca Jungle Tour with Walter and it was a great experience. Walter is from the Peruvian highlands and knows both the history of this place as well as the people living there today. The safety measures for zip lining and rafting were top notch. It was more fun than the salkantay and wayyy cheaper than the official Inca Trail.

We had two of our 4 group members get sick along the way and Walter made arrangements to help them do what activities they could while ensuring they were fit for Machu Picchu. We bought a train ticket back to Cusco last minute and Walter made sure we had a bus waiting for us at the station.

It was the trip of a lifetime and everybody we interacted with was a professional in the truest sense.

One of our family's coolest travel experiences ever!
Aug 2019 • Family
Our family of four (with 2 almost grown up kids, aged 17 and 20) recently got home from our 13 day trip to Peru. We included the 4 day Inca jungle trek as part of our adventure. And so glad we did! When I look back on the trip, I am amazed at all the cool things we were able to do and the 4 days we did on this trek were by far the most memorable.

Our guide was Eduardo. He was friendly, super knowledgeable and fun to be around. He really put his heart into making sure we had an amazing time! Note... This trip is definitely not for someone who is hoping to chill out who is afraid of adventure. We were up very early every day and would go to bed tired but filled with amazing memories of the day.? We biked 30 miles, then had a great rafting trip On day 1. Then hiked most of the next day. It was challenging, yes, but Eduardo had us take breaks at really cool stops. We got to hold monkeys, try fermented snake alcohol, enjoy the best views, swing in hammocks, and swim in the hot springs. He even was able to find transportation for our backpacks so we didn't have to carry them which was wonderful. Ziplines (very safe and professionally done) and more really beautiful hiking the next day. And finally Machu Picchu which took our breath away.

The food on the trek was delicious, often prepared by the locals. We were surprised at how healthy and big the meals were!

The only thing I wish could have been better is the accommodations. We stayed at 3 different hostels. The first one didn't even provide toilet paper, towels, hot water, or a bar of soap. We were able to rent some towels and Eduardo talked them into giving us toilet paper. With that said, the beds were always comfotable and clean. We understand there are not a lot of options for hotels on the trek but I wish we could have a few to choose from, even at an upgraded price.

Overall, the trek and our guide get 5 stars! Thanks for an unforgettable adventure!!
