Everything was excellent from day 1 since we booked the tour. Vivian was extremely helpful and responsive. Despite a few hiccups from our end, Valencia travel was very accommodating to our plans. I’m so thankful that they didn’t cancel the trip since only me and my friend were in the group. With that said, we had the full service/ attention just for the two of us. 6 porters included the chef Gregorio and our amazing tour guide Nico. Gregorio was a talented chef, I couldn’t believe he could serve appetizers, main courses and even desserts in such a small tent. The foods was delicious and the service was like a fine dinning from how they folded the napkins to serving foods. My favorite was the chicken curry. The portion was huge to me. But to be honest, i cared less about foods, i cared more about the vibes ,the energy. They all worked so hard, so so hard. It broke my heart seeing them carrying all the equipments to set up the kitchen/ sleeping tents for us. But at the end of the day, they all looked so energetic and happy. That was the most important to me. I felt happier seeing them laughing still after a hard working day.
Least but not last, our tour guide Nico was very attentive, informative and knowledgeable. I have learned a lot from this trip. Thanks for translating and connecting us with the porters on a deep personal level. The night we celebrated xmas and Gregorio’s birthday will be one of the best moments of my life.

Our guide, Wilbert Ramos, was the best!!! He absolutely make this trip a positive memory for me. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the plants, wildlife, ruins, and Inca culture. Very friendly, and skilled at working with different ability groups within our group of six hikers. There were moments on the second day of hiking (which is the toughest day) where he would start playing his flute and it would lift everyone’s spirit to make it through a tough grind of a hill climb to Dead Woman’s pass. He was also a skilled photographer and took great pictures to help preserve our memories.
Outside of a little confusion on our arrival to Cusco, all the logistics for transportation worked great.

Our experience with Valencia Travel was fantastic. They did a great job coordinating the trip, and worked with us through the pandemic with multiple changes and cancellations. They were prompt in responding, and always willing to help.
The trek on the Inca Trail was amazing. Excellent food and the accommodations were perfect. Our tour guide Fredy was also wonderful. He was kind, patient, and showed us an amazing experience.

Valencia Travel provided exceptional service at every level. From booking to hand off at airport security for departure they were there to help with anything you needed. Couldn't have asked for more and wouldn't go with anyone else.
On the hike, our guide Frank, chef Freddy and all of the porters were exceptional. Our group was slow on the descents but the team was with us every step of the way.
Machu Picchu......what more can you say. The place is amazing.
Truly a once in a lifetime experience and it was made better by the hike and the exceptional team of people that made it all happen.

Thank you, Valencia!! What a wonderful experience! The Inca trail was a personal challenge and a rewarding trek. Valencia made this dream a reality for me and I am so grateful. Thank you to Alex our guide who taught us and encouraged us with his enthusiasm, Cecilia who emailed with me for over a year due to pandemic-related delays, Gregorio the chef extraordinaire, Maximo, Elterrio and the other porters!! I cannot say enough good things about Valencia and the experience I had. I am over 50 and went with a friend of similar age. We both were so happy to experience this trek. Alex is a very experienced, encouraging, knowledgeable guide, a wonderful conversationalist, and overall an excellent person. This was a dream realized and again thank you to Alex, Cecilia, and everyone at Valencia.

The trip exceeded my expectation. Besides from the beauty of Machu Picchu (& the Lovely city of Cusco), the entire staff is porters and chefs was amazing. Claudio as our super guide, my family of five had an amazing time. Highly recommend this trip to my friends.

From the start of our tour Valencia Travel was top of the line. The entire experience was amazing. Valencia Travel thought of everything. The best part of our tour was our guide Renee Ferdinand. Renee was professional, extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.

Valencia people took great care of us the whole time. Guido was our guide for the 4-day Inca Trail. Great guy with lots of stories. Love the Cusco area and could have spent one more week there. Great time to visit Machu Picchu/Cusco while COVID scares crowds away.

I just returned from a 7 day adventure with Valencia Travel - I did the Sacred Valley Tour , Cusco City Tour & the 4 Day Trek to Machu Picchu.
First off the communication with Valencia Travel has been excellent , very prompt , they answered all my questions , accommodated an early arrival in Cusco & adjusted the tours to fit the time frame I had there.
Before the trek the 2 tours I took were very informative, fun & I didn’t feel rushed - Marilou and Ruben were great ! And also Ruben’s assistant John !
The 3 guides on the trek were Alex , Rene & Rolland . How lucky to have such awesome people take us through the beautiful and challenging mountains !!
We had rain for over 2 days and it made it tougher for everyone - porters , trekkers , guides , yet we all got through it together !
It’s a steep trek , a lot of steps/stairs , day 2 was the toughest & longest. Despite the weather Alex had the best attitude , nothing phases him , he kept all of us in good spirits .
I felt that his priority was our safety , learning about history, culture and having fun while at it.
Alex is a phenomenal guide , his knowledge of history is outstanding ! He made sure we all learnt about the historical importance of each site we visited ! He adjusted times and paces for all members of the group since we all had different speed of movement.
Alex is so passionate about Inca & Quechua culture & history , he’s made this trip special for me. It takes great skill to have tourists under your wing , staff and run it all smoothly !!
Rene was so awesome, he was our moral support provider - each time a smile on his face , corralled the ones who took a few minutes longer - I was one of them - to take pictures & admire the beauty of the mountains. Rene encouraged each & every one of us , rain or sunshine !!
Rolland was equally awesome, ensuring we all enjoy safely this tremendous trek !
All 3 guides made it a point to have a big family feeling , being included , laughing together even in some tough moments.
Thank you Alex for lending me your gloves when my hands were frozen !

I rented trekking poles , sleeping bag , inflatable mattress & a porter to carry some of this gear. Do yourself a favor and hire an extra porter - it makes a huge difference as you’re climbing up & down some tough terrain. Carrying a lot of weight on your back can and will have an impact - I’m so glad the option was there to have an extra porter. And speaking of porters - what an amazing group of people ! The support staff is crucial and I know it made our lives easier. They had the tents set up for us , warm water & towels , made us feel like home each camp site.
Thank you all for making it easier for us.
Our chef Wilfredo and the sous chef were outstanding !!! I have no idea how he managed to make all these delicious meals on the trek !! Cake too !!!
Drinking water was provided to us , I really felt everything was just well organized and I’m so happy I had this experience through Valencia Travel.
I got to meet fantastic people in a beautiful land !!

From arrival to departure, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The entire team made this an experience I will never forget. From Andy' s welcome at the airport and hotel assistance, to the hard working and dedicated porter team, And Alex's knowledge and passion for the culture, I left fulfilled and incredibly grateful for the experience.

Yes, would like to plan for a group about 6-8 to do the Inca trial to Manchu Picchu. The oldest person is 67 years of age, worried about if he would have trouble breathing at that altitude. Is there a air breather he should look into? What is the best time to go? Is it cheaper with the number of people going? Do we have to book our own airplane reservations or is this included?
