I spoke with other tourist on the trip and my tour with Jonathan on the inkayni Inca jungle tour excelled above all else. Not only was this tour adventurous and pushed me to be more adventurous, but it also showed a softer side with providing history and background to the lives of the natives you love Peru, Machu Picchu and what they do on a daily basis. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants excitement, an authentic experience and just a safe and easy experience. Plus the food was AMAZING!

The hike was beyond our expectations, the scenery was so beautiful and we trekked through every type of terrain. There are mango, banana trees, etc along the trail as you walk. We make a pit stop at a coffee shop on the hike which is really cool, but beware you do have to pay for your own coffee here. The hot springs are a great way to relax after a long day of hiking.

We were unable to white water raft because the current was too strong as we are in the rainy season but we received a $25 per person refund.

The downhill biking was a great experience. We felt very safe and well taken care of and the equipment was very good. The driver follows you the entire time ensuring your safety, while the tour guide is in front guiding you along.

Beware, you have to pay for your own beverages, including water at most places. I also got bed bugs at the first lodging. The first two lodging also had cockroaches. The last hotel is very nice though, 4 star.

Dear Carmen, thank you so much for your commentary, we are happy to know the trek and the scenery were so beautiful during all the trail to Machupicchu. We are grateful to you for your comprehension regarding the cancelation of rafting activity, it was due to the increase of river flow. We are talking with our providers of accommodations for they can take more care with the room cleaning. Kind regards, INKAYNI PERU TOURS.

I just reached Machu Picchu with my friend Ben and tour guide Guido. What an unbelievable experience we made over the last four days! Guido was very knowledgeable of the trail and talking about his appreciation of the outdoors really made for an authentic experience and enjoyable time 🙂🤙 Anyone traveling to Cusco and wondering about a tour guide to go with. I strongly recommend Guido to anyone looking for the best experiences and learning about the culture of the Incas too!

Thanks again from Jordan and Ben from Newfoundland, Canada

Just got back from this tour week of 4/26-4/30/22.

Overall, it was a memorable experience with Jonathan who took us on a 4 day adventure through the jungle, hiking, biking, rafting and zip lining. Jonathan is a cool and chill guide.

However, we were told that water was not included in "meals", so we had to buy our own water. Then we had to pay 40 soles to get our bags (that we couldn't carry hiking) transferred from town to town.

On day 2, in the afternoon, we hiked 2:30 hours to a hot springs close to Santa Teresa Town that we had to pay for since it was not included in the tour. It's not a lot of money but I felt that was strange since it wasn't mentioned until we got there that we had to pay the entrance fee.

On day 3, Jonathan came through and got us train tickets from Hydroelectrica to Aguas Caliente since our legs were pretty sore and we were pretty tired from Day 2 afternoon hike to the hot springs. Having said that, it was odd that our tour guide didn't know that tickets weren't being sold at Hydroelectrica station. So he managed to get us tickets by asking someone to buy them at another train station. For that we are very grateful.

Day 4, Mach Picchu was AMAZING. It is a truly magical place and we had so much fun visiting and being there. Bus ticket down from Machu Picchu NOT included in price though.

Jonathan had mentioned that he knew of a good vendor for souvenirs (quality Alpaca stuff, cheaper than Cusco were his words) in Chincherra. On the way back to Cusco, he had the van driver take us there. We bought a bunch of stuff only to find out the next day that we were ripped off and paid DOUBLE what they were charging in Cusco. I bought a sweater for 90 soles and found it the next day in Cusco for 45 soles. It was really sad because we trusted Jonathan and felt that we had treated him as a friend the entire trip. It was just a transactional relationship for him.

So anyways, overall the company is responsive, they will nickel and dime you and don't trust everything that your guide says. Having said that, we had a wonderful trip and experience. The people were friendly and kind and I believe that we treated everyone respectfully and kindly being tourists from the US.

Jonathan was awesome! Such a nice and funny guy. He was flexible and listened to our needs. He cares so much about the environment, and the families in the area. Giving back to the local people is a guiding principal for him, which I really appreciated.
The adventure elements were so fun! Biking and rafting are amazing parts of the trip. I highly recommend Jonathan and this trip if you want to explore Peru!

This trip was so amazing, and it was made so amazing by our tour guide Jonathon! Before I talk about the trip, I have to say, you need to get him. He is unbelievably personable, funny, and fun. He makes the tour everything you want in a tour of Cusco and Machu Picchu. The biking is incredible and beautiful. It is all downhill, and you go through the rainforest and mountains. It is absolutely gorgeous. The van follows behind you if you need anything, or to switch your clothes, which is super comforting. The rafting is so much fun, and the raft guides are super knowledgeable and funny. The hike is beautiful, and a highlight of the tour. Unbelievably incredible. Machu Picchu is so gorgeous and impressive, of course, and your experience is heightened by Jonathon’s Inca knowledge. The trip is just so unbelievably amazing. But you HAVE to get Jonathon. He is truly amazing, and will make the already amazing experience 1000 times better. This trip is an easy 10/10.

This tour was phenomenal!! I am currently a college student and I took this tour with four other friends. Willie was incredibly accommodating and amazing with all of us, especially when it came to strict dietary needs of some of our crew. When we went the river was flooded but we got to make chocolate instead with Hugo which was an AMAZING experience!! I would completely recommend this trek! Haha I would also recommend that you prepare a little for the hiking days (which my group did NOT think about... whoops!) they can be a lot, but even without preparation our group was just fine!

** Also, if you are going in the rainy season I HIGHLY recommend a waterproof shell for your back pack and always use bug spray!!
