César was an outstanding guide. He was always on time and full of interesting facts about the Incas. The porters and chef provided great food and service. The trek was beautiful and not overcrowded. Highly recommend this 2 day tour doing Lares and 2 day doing the Inca Trail with Bamba, it's called the Ultimate Inca Trail. After our trek, we traveled to Ecuador and the Galapagos. The wildlife and landscapes were a perfect complement to our adventure.

Our guide Francisco was a gem. He was knowledgeable, funny, and always punctual. The hike was moderate, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery and take plenty of photos. Highly recommend this 2D tour for a comprehensive Machu Picchu experience. We also customized our itinerary with Bamba to include Lake Titicaca and the Uyuni Salt Flats. Every aspect was perfectly planned and executed.

Our trek with Bamba was amazing. Francisco, our guide, was punctual and very knowledgeable. The porters and chef took great care if us, ensuring we had everything we needed/ The hike was moderate and allowed plenty of time for photos. A truly unforgettable experience! Francisco made our wonderful and magical Lares Trek unforgettable. He knew so much about the Inca heritage that one could clearly see from his facial expressions that he was passionate about it. The food was good cooked by Ivan and Ruddi The driver Jonathan was both professional and had sense of humor. A big appreciation goes to Kwaneli, for responding superbly whenever I was in touch with the contact. Wow it was such fun! We also arranged an extension for visiting Amazon in Puerto Maldonado and our visit to Amazon was equally thrilling.

We such a great time with our guide Francisco. He was as punctual as a Patek Philippe watch which is almost an overstatement because the man was bordering on obsessiveness. We are in relatively good physical condition and the climb could not have been less strenuous with plenty of time for pictures and when it seemed we had overdone it, Francisco would nonchalantly pause to explain a plant species. After our trek, we went to Huacachina, slept with a Peruvian family in Lake Titicaca and also crossed Bolivia to visit the Salar de Uyuni. All the places were different and interesting, so, I think, it was possible to organize such a tour with help of Bamba only.

I would like to thank Francisco, he was an unbelievable guide! He was very informative with the history of the Incas and the whole trek was very enjoying. It was a moderate trail but the best part is that one can take as many pictures as possible. Yet, we strongly suggest that every visitor of Machu Picchu use this kind of 14D tour. After this we proceeded with the rest of the trip in Ecuador and the Galapagos. There were simply marvelous and astonishing flora and fauna there and the territory itself. Bamba did a fantastic job doing every thyng as far as preparation of the event was concerned.

Fransico our guide was very much on time and he had good knowledge in his work. He added fun to the journey by making us to understand little histories of the plants and animals we encounter. Most probably more of a moderate trail with ample photo stops of course. So after the Inca Trail we stayed for a few days more and went to Amazon where we visited Puerto Maldonado. It was a real life scenario with one of the most beautiful experiencing of wildlife and an adventurous journey through the forests of the Amazon. Very strongly suggested to get the service of Bamba for an ultimate Peru adventure.

Francisco made our trip unforgettable with his encyclopedic knowledge of Incan history and culture. The porters and chief provided excellent meals and support throughout the trek. This experiencing was incredibly enriching, and we highly recommend it! After the trek, we extended our adventure to Puerto Maldonado in the Amazon. The biodiversity and the experience of the jungle were truly unforgettable.

I am really disappointed with my experience with Bamba, having first booked the 4 day Inca trail. They got in touch with me a few days later to let me know that Inca trail permits were sold out and did I want to book the 2 day Lares/2 day Inca trail combo. Sounded good to me, so I booked this. Big mistake… Fast forward 2 months and I am in Cusco, I show up to my briefing and I am alone. I was nervous that there would be no one else on my tour, as I had specifically booked a “group tour” as advertised on the website. This was important to me as a solo female traveller, so when the staff informed me I would be alone with the guide and cook for 4 days, I was extremely disappointed. I shared my disappointment with the team and told them that I had planned for 10 days in Cusco and therefore I could wait to go with another group. I also said that if they had they let me know in advance I was the only one who booked, I could have changed my plans. The staff told me that changing my booking was not possible for the Inca trail portion of my trek and that as this permit had been booked, it had to go ahead. I accepted to go on the Inca trail for 2 days with the guide, but not for the Lares trek, and I asked to be scheduled on a different trek to make up the 2 extra days I had planned and paid for. The lady took my number and said she would get in touch with options for me. 2 days go by and I had no alternative offered to me, so I went into the office to talk again. They did not have any suitable alternatives for me and I was eager to plan the rest of my stay in Cusco. I subsequently asked for a refund for the difference between the 4day trek I had booked ($970) and the 2 day experience I was about to receive ($750)- so only $220. The staff refused and told me to see with Viator. Viator refused to refund me this money and stopped answering my emails when I asked why. The 2 day experience that I did receive was amazing, all thanks to Edwin, my very knowledgeable and attentive guide. Thank you Edwin for being such a lovely person to spend two days with! All in all I would absolutely not recommend you book with Bamba, it’s way overpriced compared to tour operators based in Cusco, and their advertising feels very dishonest. I was ripped off of a huge amount of money, and there was absolutely no effort made to try and rectify the over-inflated price I paid. To add insult to injury, I was booked on the Circuit 3 at Machu Picchu, the worst one, despite booking months in advance… Thank goodness for Edwin !

It was amazing from the first minute until the last. The food was really good, the guidance as well and we had good beds. Physically, you will be alright if you prepared a bit. The views were crazy, and so was the visit to Machu Picchu. Would 100% recommend!

Amazing trip! We have been travelling around the world for 5 months and this was the best trip/tour we have done! And a lot of that was down to the amazing guide (Caesar), chef (benigno) and porters (chica, hermanito, y chanchito) - they went above and beyond for us! The food was great and we had the best time

The best trip I’ve ever done, and the highlight of our 5 month backpacking trip! Caesar is an excellent guide, he was super knowledgable, attentive, friendly and fun. It was a memorable hike through the beautiful Inca trail, and an amazing ending at Machu Picchu! Bamba was super easy and informative to book through. 100% recommend.
