The Colca Canyon is one of the deepest in the world and a popular hiking destination. It is located in southern Peru, next to the Colca River, famous among rafting enthusiasts. Excellent guide speaking good English, very attentive to each person’s skills. I am senior and had slight difficulties with adjusting to altitude but the guide helped me to climb, waited for those who wanted to rest or take photos. He gave very good information about the area. The tour leaves from Arequipa in the morning, you do some stops on the way with the highlights being the Stone Forest and the Pillones Waterfall. Basically you sit in the bus the whole day, the stops and short hikes only take a few minutes and almost no distance. So if you are looking for a hike, this one is not your tour! Most other guests will be elderly aunts in their Wednesday-to-church-pumps. The views over the vast landscape are great, but this is included in and one of the tours you can do in the area. Not recommended if you are looking at least for a little bit of adventure or outdoor activity.Written February 21, 2020

Beautiful place to visit and take incredible photographs, I recommend going well dressed since when you arrive in Chivay it is very cold, although during the morning the sun rises strongly, but even so you have to be careful. The attention from when they picked us up at the Hotel was the best, I loved that when we arrived for breakfast in Chivay they welcomed us with a couple of dancers, it was very nice. Upon reaching the Colca Valley viewpoint we could see a large number of condors flying over and one of them even flew over us.

The initial pickup, very punctual, comfortable mobility and driver handled fast but prudent. The guide always guided us from the place we visited. The simply spectacular lunch all very tasty and various options in the buffet. I definitely recommend them, they will not regret it.

Well, the things we saw were overall quite nice, the landscapes were super impressive. We could see Condors, Llamas, Alpacas and Vicuñas. However at the day before the tour they promised us to pick us up first, they ended up pickung us up last and we had to share the last row of the bus with a family that brought their less than 2 years old baby. The baby was crying and screaming all day long(understandable). I don't really understand why the company allows little babies on a 15 hour bus tour?! These incidents made it less enjoyable for us.

I got to know Liberty Peru tourism through TikTok and I got in touch as soon as I arrived in Arequipa, they have given me the best tours, the super qualified guides, they speak English, Spanish, they also help you with taking photos and are always attentive Make sure you are well on the tour, their drivers and mobility make the tour perfect.
