Lake Humantay is as beautiful as the pictures you see. Its is difficult hike, we opted to take the horses up after experiencing altitude sickness was at Rainbow Mountain. If you take a horse, know it will not be guided, you will be in a group of about 8-10 with a couple of guides. Our tour guide Super Wally was awesome, great energy and the best part was a special ritual he had us participate in that gave thanks to the sacred mountain before heading back down. Highly recommend this tour!

We loved our Rainbow Mountain tour! Our tour Heber Forever was great! Our guide was knowledgeable and took many pictures for us. We got picked up pretty promptly at Plaza de Armas at 4:30 AM by a passenger van which took about a 1 and a half hour ride up to get food for a buffet breakfast. Then we resumed our ride with another hour out to the start of the hike. The hike was reasonable, but the altitude was really the biggest foe. I would recommend doing at least 24 hours in Cusco before making this climb, as my friends and I didn’t and did get altitude sickness. The altitude sickness did pass on our return to Cusco (about 3 hours). The hike was so gorgeous and we took so many pictures!! The colors were surprisingly very bright— you tend to worry that people saturate shots when you see them online— some definitely do. They were naturally gorgeous with no editing! Afterwards we set off to lunch, and then back to Cusco. Thank you for a lovely Rainbow Mountain experience!

It was a great experience. Our guide Wally performed a cultural ceremony with coca leaves to pay respect to the mountains, we really liked it and we think that sets it apart from other tours. Wally was a really positive enthousiatic guide which made tour even more fun!

We had an amazing trip with HEBER FOREVER. Our tour guide was very reliable, funny and cared for the whole group. He made it to a very special experience for us and we would recommend the trip. We would do the trip forever again with Heber ;-)

Our tour guide was named Alex. His English was clear and easy to understand. There was a lot of people on rainbow mountain, he made sure to keep track of everyone and even took some pictures for us. Breakfast and lunch were included, same restaurant and buffet style. Free bathroom. The bus ride to rainbow mountain is windy and a tad scary. The driver navigated the roads well. Remember to bring your own coca leafs and don't underestimate the altitude. You can ride a horse 3/4 of the way up, for 30-40 soles. We didn't use that option but saw plenty of people doing it.

The trip to Humantay Lake was in total nice. The busride was a bit unconfortable, but not too bad. The hike is physically challenging. You’ll start the hike with the whole group but after 20 min everybody could go in there own pace. The view on the top with Humantay Lake and the surounding mountains is stunning! Wally, the guide, is so much fun and takes time for the whole group.

Can’t recommend this enough!! Especially the red valley side quest, we had no idea what it was and it was stunning! Very organized trip, very knowledgeable and charismatic guide (HEBER FOREVER!!!) Hike was a bit more difficult than anticipated but nothing a few extra stops won’t fix. We had the best time seeing the incredible sights!!

The bus was comfortable, the restaurant where we breakfasted and lunched was great. Laguna Humantay is a challenging yet rewarding hike. It took us just about an hour to summit. The guide was accommodating and attentive

I had a great day visiting Laguna Humantay. There was only me and knw other English speaking person but Wally made sure we received the same information as everyone else and took good care of us throughout. The food for breakfast and lunch was great with lots of choice and the lake was unbelievable. I would highly recommend adding this day trip to your itinerary!

The trip was great and our guide Wally was lovely and caring! The mountains are beautiful and we had the chance to have a clear weather. I recommend going the extra mile and take a look at the red valley on the way down. It's quite a sight!

Tour company is great, very professional, very organized. Our tour guide was awesome! Kept an eye out for all of us in our group, Heber Forever! The mountain is beautiful, definitely book this tour, price is great as well. I do highly suggest getting the horse on the way up. Altitude sickness hits everyone differently, how good of shape you are in does not matter. It got me and a few others in our group quite well. Bring altitude patches, meds, coca candy and water.
