About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 449rickh0 contributionsCondor viewing and so much more of ancient and natural PeruThe condors were incredible to see, but there was so much other great Peruvian ancient history and natural beauty to enjoy. Extremely professional tour arrangement - great sites from comfortable bus and horseback. Every bit done for our satisfaction. Highly recommended.Written July 15, 2024
- robmW7764PR0 contributionsNOT A SMALL GROUP TOUR.The itinerary was OK but to call this a Small Group tour is absolutely misleading. We were in a double decker bus!!!. We avoid larger group tours because everything takes longer and sure enough in this large group we had some very selfish people who thought it was OK to start a quad bike ride after everyone else was on the bus and ready to leave our last destination. We go back 50 minutes later than expected and as a result missed getting into a restaurant that we were planning to dine at.Written May 1, 2024
- Gumucio0 contributionsOnly Juanita mattersThe main attraction in this small museum is "Juanita" which is not a mummy as many have written, but a frozen corpse of a 12-14-year-old girl that was sacrificed at the top of mountain Ampato, around 500 years ago. The corpse is shown inside a three-layer glass box to keep it frozen. It is removed to a dark place every six months and replaced by "Sarita", another frozen corpse which is not as impressive. The six remaining rooms in the museum contain small objects that are kept as they were found, with little or no restoration. They are mostly of interest to specialists. No photos are allowed, even without a flash. This can be understood for "Juanita" or "Sarita" for obvious reasons, but not for the rest of the museum. The entry price paid by foreigners is high for what there is to see in the small museum, moreover, you can only visit with a tour guide (payment not included). You could eventually skip the visit.Written December 11, 2023

- Grcutter0 contributionsNice, low cost half day tour of ArequipaThis is a very economical half day tour of Arequipa. There was great communication from the organizer via WhatsApp. We were told what to pack and exactly what the cost of the extra admissions would be. We were met at our hotel on time and escorted to the bus pick up location which was a 2 block walk. The bus is double decker with a cover. We had reserved seats which is nice. There are 5 stops. In my opinion, the first 4 are worthwhile, especially the 3rd one, but the last one, which is supposed to be a museum (contains 2 artifacts) is not worth the 10 sols entrance fee unless you want your picture next to a 200 year old willow tree and want to see a very large fighting bull. The tour covers a lot of ground in a short time and does not stay in any one location for very long. The guide was really great. I benefitted from the English portion. The bus sound system is not so good so it can be difficult to hear the guide while the bus is moving. The guide goes with you into each of the locations to further explain what you ate seeing. The tour ends a few blocks from the Plaza de Armes so you are not brought back to the pickup.Written October 28, 2022
- M7861HNjustinc0 contributionsBetter then expectedBeat my expectations, thought it'd be much worse but was definitely worth it for how cheap it is. Better then expected.Written May 16, 2022
- 700dimac0 contributionsAmazing lanscape with professional crewWhat an amazing trip. Peter our guide and Persi our driver were very professional. The guide explained as alot about the story of the area and is quite interesting. You have more than enough stops to do pictures, shopping an brakes. Be ready for a long drive. The tour starts from arequipa with posibility to end in Puno or back to arequipaWritten May 6, 2022
- Kim2903880 contributionsJust awesome!Salinas salt lagoon is incredibly beautiful. I was there during the rainy season so it’s not white but instead a big mirror. Our guide Elli was super knowledgeable and could answer all our questions about the region and the lagoon itself. Since we were only two guests, the whole tour was super flexible and tailored to our wishes. I can highly recommend this tour - it’s worth every penny :-)Written February 11, 2020
- KT91040 contributionsEnjoyable visit but doesn’t beat UyuniMy partner and I did the salt lagoon visit with Arequipa Tour when it looked like we wouldn’t get to Uyuni because of the Bolivian riots. The personalised tour was pretty good and I enjoyed that it did not feel rushed in any way; we were able to stop en route whenever we wanted and got to spend a decent amount of time at the salinas. Unexpectedly, we also had the best avocado I have ever had in my life at lunchtime! The salinas themselves were very nice to look at and seen fairly expansive once you are in the middle of them. We were able to take some nice photos and enjoyed walking across them. However, make sure you go after a period of good weather as if not the salt can be a bit grey. Unfortunately, this was the case with us and our guide wouldn’t stop talking about how much better it had been the week before..! In relation to our guide: Elly was very enthusiastic and knowledgable so it was on the whole good to have her as our guide. However, my partner found it confusing that the tour was carried out in a kind of Spanglish (ie sentences variously in English and in Spanish, sometimes both in the same sentence). This may have had something to do with the fact that I speak both and perhaps Elly enjoyed speaking both too. Finally, as a minor point, we didn’t appreciate when we were having a casual conversation during our walk and Elly stated that she would never want to marry a European man because she doesn’t like Europeans. We are both European (which she knew) so that opinion should probably have been kept to herself. Overall, I would recommend this tour if you don’t have time to see any other salt flats while in South America. However, it is expensive (we paid $95 each for a private tour) and definitely doesn’t compare to Uyuni (which we got to see in the end)!Written December 17, 2019
- Yvonne28F0 contributionsDon't book this tourThis was a no go! Way too far in a crappy bus for only two viewpoints. The tourguide spoke mostly Spanish so half of the time we had no clue what was going on. We had to pay €25 pp to get into Chivay and lunch was not cheap either. Someone had to throw up in the van and we also felt sick ourselves. Not worth it.Written November 17, 2019
- cosconstantinou10 contributionsFull day trip to Colca CanyonAn ok trip but a few too many stops to buy local trader’s gifts. Also the optional thermal baths looked uninviting so we gave that a miss. The breakfast was average at best and the optional buffet lunch was expensive for what was provided. Nice to see the canyon and condors though.Written October 27, 2019
- wilsonalex090 contributionsDepends What You’re Looking For...My girlfriend Tori and I went on this tour. We got picked up at the hotel on time and the bus was nice. Driver and the host were nice and knowledgeable however we found it to be a very long day for what you get out of it. The ‘breakfast included was just coffee/tea and a couple bread rolls with jam and you had to pay 2 soles more for a small portion of eggs. And then when you get to the various stops you have 10-15 minutes for the view and pictures and an hour for the main condor viewing. We went to the hot springs as well and they were relaxing although very unclean and didn’t look like they were maintained well (you get 45mins total). We are a very easygoing couple and it wasn’t the worst day however we just found that it’s A-LOT of sitting on the bus for a couple views and you’re gone from 2AM to 5PM which in hindsight we feel it would’ve been better to do other things around Arequipa or a shorter tour for what we got out of it.Written October 10, 2019
- diana cecilia Y0 contributionsRecommendedIt was just perfect :) without a doubt, you should do a one day tour to Colca with this agency ! Also, the lunch was so good !Written September 9, 2019
- Esther B0 contributionsCity Tour great experienceThe tour was wonderful! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had the curtesy to give each of us a pin with the Escude de Arequipa All the places we visited were fabulous and one can spend more time in each of them. My only suggestion us to tell the visitors to bring a snack. We tried “Choclo con queso” corn and cheese which was delicious!!Written September 5, 2019
- Kees690 contributionsColca Canyon TWO DAYSYou cannot do a 1-day tour of Colca Canyon in 1 day. We always do it yearly in August as a 2-Day Trip! You MUST be at the Canyon's Miradors (Lookout points) by 7-8 am. The Cruz del Condor on Aug 30 and 31 were WAY too busy with 100s to 1000s of tourists. We stopped at one outside Cabanaconde and then one after Cruz del Condor. it worked out VERY well. Check my latest Facebook post (3 Sept 2019).Written September 3, 2019
