- jadewQ1580CX00Wonderful tour with EnriqueWe had a wonderful time exploring Cajas with Enrique. He is an exceptional guide and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our time in Cuenca!
- jadewQ1580CX00A wonderful tour and guideEddy was an amazing tour guide! One of the best we’ve had the whole time we’ve been in Ecuador. He showed us so many beautiful sites in Cuenca and taught us a lot of history. His love of his city is contagious.
- Z6453UWamyp00Reliable Transport to CuencaEfren was a very reliable driver. He transported us safely from Guayaquil to Cuenca. I realized I’d left my glasses in the car after he dropped us off and he went out of his way to drop them at the hotel the next morning. Needless to say, I was very appreciative. I highly recommend Efren and his transport services.
- troyfT929XD00Great trip. Wilson is the English speaking guide you want to ask forWilson was our guide and he was extraordinary. Speaks good English and VERY knowledgeable and he was fun. We enjoyed our half day trip with him so much that we booked a full day trip with him two days later. One of the things he took us to was a Panama hat manufacturer (which he informed us that they are Ecuador hats but named Panama because they were originally made for workers working on the Panama Canal. ) Anyway, if your looking for a half day trip that’s informative and fun and you need an English speaking guide, Wilson is your man!
- Leonard65500Wonderful Way to ArriveEverything went perfect. Steven was waiting for us at the airport with our name on a sign. He was warm, friendly, and very helpful. Our drive to Cuenca was comfortable and pleasant with Steven answering all our questions and telling us about the landscape on the way.. We stopped at a wonderful restaurant at Steven’s suggestion and had a memorable meal. I highly recommend the service and especially Steven as a driver/guide. Thank you, Steven.
- Jamesd277900You couldn’t hope for a more authentic, comfortable and expert way to see this beautiful country!Wow what a tour we had! Javier was such a legend - so knowledgeable about everything Ecuador, perfect English, knew all the best spots and it even felt like he controlled the weather! Also he is a great driver, the transport was super comfortable and we saw and did everything we wanted to. All of the accommodation was great and the food was fantastic. Javier knew locals everywhere we went which helped to give us such an authentic feel of the country. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough - if you are considering it, just book it. You will not be disappointed!
- D3594OHeddiem00Ingapirca tourWe had a brilliant 2 person private tour. I mainly wanted to see Ingapirca historic site but we had the added visits to some see some artisan crafts also. The whole day was fantastic. Enrique, our quite, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very good company and we were delighted to spend the day with him. Thoroughly recommend
- miodrags34000Great day trip time and money well spentIt was a trip worth taking. Our guild was very knowledgeable and I loved the scenery and the Inka historical site.
- 753otraveller00Great Cuenca TourDid a tour if Cuenca with this company. From the moment of booking they were so helpful and attentive. Tour was excellent so would definetly recommend
- lisaaD2968JE00Brilliant guides, amazing sceneryA breathtaking landscape and Adrian was a brilliant guide with detailed knowledge of flora and fauna. He helped us make the most of it by tracking the birds we wanted to see and using sounds to lure them in! A brilliant experience, we wish we had more time!
- Jamie G00Must see when in CuencaFirst off Andres was an incredible tour guide. Very personable, knowledgeable and eager to be of service. Spoke English better than me lol and Spanish for our mixed party. Andres recommended some great food spots that we hit up as well. Javier made signing and arranging the tour easy and carefree, even though we booked just 1 day in advance.. Arranged for multiple pickups and off we went. Great trip with young kids, some challenging climbs but not too bad. The scenery is well worth the effort. Lunch at the lake was delicious. Highly recommend!!
- F389SOfannyc00Amazing culinary experienceThis experience was amazing. We had such a good time with Javier and his wife. We learnt a lot about Ecuador and its cuisine. I can only recommande it !
- 752duncanm00Great way to see and learn about CuencaOn a sunday afternoon, we had the idea to do the bike tour in Cuenca the next day. I found a telephone number on the site and send a whatsapp message. I got an answer real quick that they would do their best to find a guide for the next morning. And a few hours later, I got a message that they actually found somebody: Wilson! So the next day, Wilson's wife picked us up at the hotel and she took us to their home, where the bikes were. We met Wilson and he explained some things about the bikes (mostly about braking :)). Wilson is a very friendly guide who knows a lot about Cuenca and it's history. We always love to see cities while biking through them and with Wilson sharing his knowledge, it made it even more interesting. After the tour we went back to his home, where we were welcomed by his wife with some fruit to eat. We loved the tour!
- L4285HIjanets00OMG stunning. It was an amazing trip, it had it all. Scenery on the drive up there, Wilson showing me the town of Giron, his excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna and everything in between.
- charmaineg99300Tour to Turi and Cuenca city including modern art museum and hat factoryLuis was extremely knowledgeable, personable and pleasant. This was my third trip to Cuenca, but he expounded on amazing things I had not seen or heard on previous trips to Cuenca.

Wilson is a very professional guide. The trip was very interesting, the NP CAJAS is an amazing place with beautiful nature that is worth a visit. An excellent lunch and a visit to the garden with tropical fruits was included. I can highly recommend this trip for travelers from Cuenca to Guayaquil

We have used Cuenca Bestours several times over the last year and we have been so impressed with their customer service. Javier doesn’t just treat you like a customer but he treats you like a friend. I’ve traveled a ton in my lifetime and I’ve never taken the time to write a review but I cannot brag on this company enough. On our last trip, we traveled from Guayaquil to Cuenca and we took a short tour through Cajas National Park. My family and I have contemplated stopping at the park several times before we are so glad that we didn’t without our tour guide. Sebastian was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge. Cajas was breathtaking in and of itself, but our guide made everything come alive. This company is a 10/10. From the moment you book the tour to the moment your tour ends, you will be impressed.

This worked perfectly for us to get from Cuenca for a flight in Guayaquil that evening! They picked us up around 7:30am and we arrived in Guayaquil around 3:00. We asked to skip the chocolate in order to do a longer hike of around 3.5 hours, which allowed us to see a lot more of Cajas park. It was incredible, the guide and driver were both really nice and knowledgeable about local species and landscape, and we would definitely do it again.

Andres was our guide and he was AMAZING!
He was more than accommodating and truly wanted to give us the best experience possible and properly introduce us to Cuenca's' culture.
His English was impeccable, he was personable, and a ton of fun!
Andres wore a mask the whole time, in the car and outside, except for this one pic we wanted with him - and he had hand sanitizer ready at every stop. We felt super safe with him!
Andres has a background in history from his prior studies and his knowledge and passion for it shined through during the tour and transfer. We also did a day tour with him prior to this chocolate tour and that was equally, if not more, amazing!
The chocolate farm is literally in this lady's backyard. We got to taste cacao fruit, roast beans, and make our own chocolate! It was truly a bucket list item for me! I'm only sad it didn't last longer!
The shuttle was comfortable and had AC. When we stopped for lunch and snacks, Andres was there to help translate and point out local items to try.
The National Park was breathtaking! Coming from Acadia National Park, I see a lot of mountains, but this was truly special. Andres was able to point out different birds and plants that have historical significance. Super cool!
He even took us to the highest crossable point of the continental divide! He took pics for us and gave our group time but kept us on track.
We're planning on another trip to Ecuador in September and we will defiantly be calling Andres for more tours!
Also, his boss, Javier, was also super easy to work with and flexible with our group.
Overall, an excellent experience and I highly recommend booking this!

Genero was a fantastic tour guide. The care he took driving , finding a good restaurant, hiking thru the national park, and visiting the cacao farm was all quite excellent. He was interesting and really open to answering our millions of questions. Very respectful. He was also on time. The road conditions were not great through the mountains but his kill at driving was amazing. We strongly recommend this tour guide and the tour. Initially I was mildly interested in the cacao farm. He assured me it would be a good tour. He did not disappoint. I liked that it was a small family run farm as it made it more personal.

We hesitated to do this due to cost, but I can say it was worth every penny. My family was much more comfortable with the private shuttle. It was roomy and clean, and the people that drove us there- Fernando and Sonya- were great! We definitely felt we were in the hands of safe drivers. They pointed out interesting things all along the way, making the long drive enjoyable instead of tedious. The restaurant we stopped at was delicious and had a great view. Our favorite stop was the cacao farm, where we learned how to make chocolate and got to taste the cacao fruit (we had no idea the actual fruit was good to eat!) and then the chocolate that we helped make. We will think of the experience each time we eat chocolate from now on. Highly recommend as a fun way to get to or from Cuenca and to get to know the area better!

My wife and I visited the Devil’s nose and Ingapirca on one tour and on a separate day we visited the Cajas National Park. Our guide Wilson was excellent, quite possibly the most well educated guide we have ever had. He was also good fun which is a great combination. The company helped us find solutions during the pandemic so that we could enjoy the surrounding areas of Cuenca. Thanks guys!
