We had such a great time on our day trip! The guide was informative and friendly. He was also quite supportive of the guests who could not make the complete hike. We did not feel rushed once we got to the top and enjoyed the lunch on the way back. I would recommend this trip and would be happy to take another with them!

We did the 4 day Cuyabeno tour with Ecuatraveling, it was just amazing! The lodge is one of the most remote lodges you can go to, the peace, nature and wildlife were beyond our imaginations. Every day there are around three different tours with a guide (greets to Jefferson) either with a Canoe or by foot. Some we also did at night! We saw pink dolphins otters, colourful birds, monkeys, snakes, tarantulas and much more! We are vegetarian, the food was very very good and freshly cooked. There is no phone reception in the djungle so do tell your family and friends beforehand that you are detoxing ;) And bring mosquito repellent! The staff of Ecuatraveling are super nice, it was very easy to book and they were available for all questions. I would definitely recommend!!

This cruise was such an incredible experience! Waking up each morning to a new island was so special. Our guide, Edwin, was so knowledgeable about the ecology, geology, plant and wildlife of each place we visited. We learned so much and had amazing encounters with so many animals! The schedule was packed with adventure! Two snorkels and two hikes each day, so we really made the most of it. Make sure you come ready for activity!!

The trip to cuyabeno and the waita lodge was amazing! Everything was great organized and the food was suberb. We saw a lot of different animals, plants and trees and Diego and Charlie had so much knowledge. It was a great tour which I only can recommend!

5 day Iliniza Norte & Cayambe Tour Very good organization; always fast communication/response by Pablo/EcuaTraveling. The program took us to places and people we would not have selected/visited and that made it unique. The acclimatization tour @ Iliniza Norte was a great choice! The summit of Cayambe was very tough, but our guide Pablo Chiquiza helped us when needed, was patient and clear with his instructions- would go with him anytime again! Also the equipment from CondorTrekk was good, sturdy boots were very good. Thank you for everything and making this a great experience, Pablo Team!

We had a great experience with our tour guide Stui! He told us so much about the volcanos, the history and people of the region! We enjoyed the tour because we got to taste Bizcochos at the place where they are made, we went to Lago de San Pablo, the Otavalo market, Cotacachi and hiked a bit in Cuicocha to see the beautiful lake! This experience was amazing,many thanks to our guide Stui, you are going a great job!!!

Our trip to Waita Lodge was way beyond our expectations of a palm leafed "hotel" in a Jungle. Starting from when we were collected for the three hour long-boat trip up the Cuyabeno, the bird and pink dolphin sightings began. Flocks of macaw parrots flew overhead, and we caught glimpses of orchids, bromeliads and flower sweetly scented plants as we skimmed on. The first sight of the lodge was very exciting. Open plan deck, lounge, dining room and bar, and basic but very comfortable private room with ensuite hot shower and wc and all very clean and neat. Our guide, Diego, was warm and friendly and shared his endless and vast knowledge of all plant, insect and mammal life whenever we encountered any. We were "entertained" daily with escorted walks on forest paths either early morning or late at night to give us the chance to find diurnal or nocturnal creatures. The longboat trips took up looking for any mammals we could see at least twice a day from the main river to small "lakes" within the forest and smaller quieter back waters. We were rewarded with 6 monkey species, three toed sloths, giant otters, kinkajou, and over 54 up-close-and-personal bird sightings and many more. There were many highlights, but going Pirhana fishing stands out as a very fun morning for us, especially as I was successful catching one! And, there was still time to enjoy a nap with the cicada orchestra in the background to soothe us to sleep between excursions. We are still wondering how they managed to feed us three delicious meals a day comprising of fresh local fruit, vegetables and local delicacies, out of reach of an easy supply store! I am still dreaming of an empanada had for breakfast on day one! We were stretched for time and only had 10 days in Ecuador, and it was unavoidable that getting there for us was a bit of a mission from Canada nonstop to meet our personal time requirement. I do recommend that an overnight stay closer to the pick up on the Amazon would be recommended. The most helpful and prompt agent, Esteban Ludena, at Ecuatravelling did all he could to change, re-arrange and assist with our last minute bookings. I have shared all this information with all our friends, and I imagine that we will visit Ecuador again.

The time I have had at Waitalodge was amazing! We saw so many animals and I really felt so far from daily life. The staff at Waita lodge were so kind and warm-hearted that you really felt at home. They know a lot about all the species that live around the lodge in the Amazon. I was amazed by the fact that they could spot all the animals so fast and which so much enthusiasm. I definitely want to come back in the future and I would recommend this lodge to everyone since it is far away from all the other lodges I felt really special and one with nature.
