If you make the visit on Monday, you will have the possibility to take photos of the Presidential Change of Guard.

He gave us historical context I would have not gotten if I had explored these locations on my own. At first, I thought doing Old Town on my own was the way to go but after doing the tour with a guide, I don’t regret it at all!Written March 18, 2023

- Cat58910 contributionsPululuahua was great, didn’t experience Museo del SolI booked this tour to go specifically to the Museo del Sol, which I ultimately didn’t make it to. The Pululahua Reserve exceeded expectations. It would have been nice to hike a bit of the way down, but we weren’t given the opportunity. Our guide decided a different, more touristy museum down the road was better than Museo del Sol, so that’s where we went. I questioned the guide about the contents of Museo del Sol and the architecture, but was somewhat dismissed. We registered for the tour because of our interest in architecture and indigenous art! He mentioned the other museum had a guide that spoke my language, so I was left to assume that is why we DIDN’T go to the museum we signed up for. To be fair, the other museum was entertaining, but not the experience we paid for. The guide stated in his opinion the chosen museum was better. But, if we wanted to go there we could have booked for that location. It feels a bit bold that the guide would presume to know our interests. I’m disappointed that a different decision was made for us.Written June 16, 2022

He also shared a number of very interesting myths as well as some of the darker side of history. Learning about history this way makes it very fun and exciting. We highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys history with a few ghost stories mixed in.Written August 14, 2021
