A MUST DO in Quito! Whether you’re looking for lessons or just to experience Quito and the surrounding Andes to their fullest, this is the way to go. I’ve done other language schools in other Spanish speaking countries, but Ailola Quito has been by far the best in terms of lessons and experiences offered. Professional, friendly and welcoming for any level, good people, and high quality lessons.

We spent two weeks at Ailola Quito, studying in the morning on weekdays and staying with other Spanish students and our host, Valeria, in a multi-unit apartment near the school. In the afternoons and on weekends we adventured in the area surrounding Quito. We went to hot springs, went rafting, and went trekking. We hardly had time for our homework, but somehow squeezed it in each day! The skill of the teachers was incredible, the experience with Valeria was a window into Ecuadorian culture and was welcoming and hospitable, and Ecuador was a mix of excitement, relaxation, and cultural experiences. It was a full two weeks and an experience I’ll recommend to all who are interested in an immersion program and improving their Spanish while exploring Ecuador.

My husband and I spent 4 weeks studying Spanish st Ailola Quito. We took both private and group classes, my husband was a complete beginner and I had been studying Spanish for a few years. In both the group classes and the private classes the instruction was at a good pace and very through, the private classes were highly personalization. Both our teachers were exceptional. The classes were lively and very focused on conversation. I had a few years of studying Spanish, and Roberto, my instructor, identified the specific areas that I needed improvement with grammar and pronunciation and tailored the curriculum to fit my needs. My husband’s instructor, Adrianna did an excellent job relating the class material to daily life in Ecuador, so the classes very about not only learning Spanish, but learning about life in Ecuador and Ecuadorian culture. The school helped to organize tours, and when circumstances prevented our taking a planned tour, they worked with the operators to get an refund. They recommended and reserved, Mindo Coffee Lodge and Spa for a visit to Mindo, the hotel was lovely. The Airbnb they recommended for our stay, Old Towne Quito Suites, was also wonderful. I highly recommend this experience in Quito

Ailola Quito/instituto Superior de Espanol is a great choice to improve your Spanish and learn about Ecuadoran culture. I took three weeks of group and private lessons in December 2021. All of my coursework was conducted in Spanish and the instructors focused on conversation, grammar, and reading comprehension. In addition to studying in a classroom, my private lessons included local cultural tours of the historic center of Quito. I stayed with a local Ecuadoran family which was arranged by the school. This enhanced my experience because it allowed me to speak Spanish at home with the family while having authentic Ecuadoran cuisine. If you are considering studying Spanish, I would recommend that you contact the school director Eugenio. He and his staff will ensure that you have an excellent experience while in Ecuador.

In the 3 weeks I spent in Ailola in Quito (2 of them in group class and 1 individual) I learned way more than I thought was possible. My very basic Spanish got a lot better so that I was able to confidently hold a conversation. The teachers and employees are all very friendly and always there to help. Eugenio even picks you up from the airport and takes you to cool places after classes. I would definitely choose Ailola again.

My family traveled through the Galapagos with Ailola Quito and spent one week in their Quito school studying Spanish. The 2-week travel trip was amazing! We loved spending time with Paul, Paola, Vanessa & Martina. We really enjoyed getting to know the other student in our group. We had a great experience! We also really enjoyed Quito. Eugenio, Paul & Paola took us around the city. Eugenio even took us to the hot springs in Papallata and the Otavalo Market. We hope to be able to return! My husband and I choose to have our honeymoon in Ecuador! We are lucky enough to have a whole month in this beautiful country. But, when we got here we realized how abysmal our Spanish was. So, we decided to stay a few extra days in Quito and signed up for a week of Spanish classes! We are so happy we did. We really got a good base that has helped us immensely during our trip. Our instructor Adriana was so good. She is hilarious and patient, a winning combination. We had so much fun in her class, something that is a rare thing to say about any schooling experience. In addition to the classes, Eugenio drove us one afternoon to Papallacta and took us on a gorgeous hike followed by the most beautiful hot spring. This excursion would have been a fortune through a tour operator and we might not have even thought of doing it. It has been on of the highlights of our trip. The school was so helpful with everything. They helped us get our SIM cards when we arrived and answers any questions we had about how to get to places or what to do when we weren’t in the classroom. My friend and I spent two months with Ailola Spanish school and absolutely loved it. Eugenio picked us up at the airport and took us to our Airbnb. The next day he took us on a walking tour and showed us the bus route we were going to take to school. We studied for a month with 4 different teachers in Quito and loved all of them. Everyone is overwhelmingly helpful and Eugenio is eager to assist you with whatever you need. Every day during the break there is hot fresh delicious coffee and bread where you can talk with all the students and teachers. Once a week the teachers made traditional Ecuadorian dishes after classes for everyone. Eugenio took us to a nearby town after classes one day, and drove us to Otavalo when we moved there for more classes. We spent one month studying in Otavalo with Carlos, which was awesome as we were the only students. Carlos took us on many hikes near Otavalo, as well as the markets. We even returned to the school in Quito at the end of our three months in Ecuador and they assisted us with renewing our travel visas. Overall an excellent experience!

I studied for 3 weeks at Ailola, 2 weeks in Quito and 1 week in Otavalo. All the teachers I had were really excellent - Angelica, Tania , Zaira, and Carlos in Otavalo. I knew a bit of Spanish before I arrived in Ecuador but left knowing a lot more. I especially enjoyed my stay in Otavalo.

I had a great experience at ailola spanish school. I would recomand this school. Teachers are great, funny and qualified. The administrative staff is taking great care of the students so that we quickly feel at home and it become difficult to leave.

First I went to another school (which I really didn’t like). I reached out to this school, they let me join a free lesson to give me an impression and I really liked it! After that, I joined this school for three weeks and I really improved my spanish. There are good teachers and nice activities with other students besides the lessons.

An amazing language school! We were picked up at the airport on arrival by the owner and someone also met us at our hostel to walk to school on the first morning. Great teachers and friendly helpful staff. Love the many activities which they organise over the week to fully immerse you into the culture. We were also given a lot of helpful travel tips for Ecuador. Would definitely go back again.
