Our guide Carlos was incredible. He was super knowledgeable and very passionate about showing off the wonders of Quito and Mindo. The area of the Cloud Forest we were shown was incredible and we had a lot of freedom about how long to stay at the various stops. Additionally, at points Carlos would slow down or stop to show us a particularly wonderful view or interesting flora or fauna, even on the drive there.

Our tour guide, Ximena, did a great job personalizing the day according to our requests. We were able to see and experience a wide variety of activities (chair lift over valley, coffee tour, birding experience, local lunch, visited one volcano, a short hike to the thunder waterfall). She was very accommodating and personable which made the day a success! We feel that we experienced so many aspects of the Mindo cloud forest due to our guides knowledge and experience in the area.

Bucket list to see the Amazon forest and westernmost tributaries of the Amazon River. Ecuador has such beautiful landscapes, water falls, volcanos, hot baths and there were lots of stops to see scenery. Baños was very charming. It was hopping and a great place for lunch and cervezas. It’s a three hour trip with great views and lots of places to stop. Freddy was a wonderful host.

My friend and I took a 2 week escorted tour of Ecuador, and booked an extra day on our own. Upon researching day trips from Quito, we decided to take the Mindo Cloud Forest tour. Having booked online late the night before, we were a bit dubious about being picked up on time, let alone at all. But at 8AM sharp, our guide Ivan arrived at our hotel. Within minutes, we knew that we were in good hands. Someone had told us that we should stop enroute to Mindo at Pululauha Volcano. So we asked Ivan if this was possible, and without blinking, he agreed. It was well worth the detour. Ivan was a fantastic guide, providing the kind of information and detail of what we were seeing that you could never get from reading the usual travel resources. Once at Mindo, Ivan always offered us options of which hiking trails to take based on level of ease or difficulty, tempering our decision by what spectacular views awaited us at the end of each trail. We were never steered wrong. The consummate gentleman, Ivan always offered a helping hand when we were climbing over a challenging trail transition. We simply could not have asked for a better guide. Ivan deservedly sits way up at the top. As for the excursion itself, the trails to the waterfalls were lush with tropical foliage and flowers, the waterfalls a page out of a travel brochure. The butterfly sanctuary is a visual treat, and we were shown how to coax them to perch on, and feed from your finger. I even had a Blue Morpho hitchhiking on my knee. The magnificent birds we saw ran the gamut of every color (Tanagers, Fly Catchers, Toucanets). But the capper was our interaction with Hummingbirds. With Ivan's help, they were literally eating out of our hands. The sensation of those wee wings fluttering against your skin, and their tiny feet grasping onto your finger will remain a fond memory of our day trip to Mindo. In a word-GO!

Amazing tour guide! I learned so much and had the best time! WORTH IT! The views were stunning, and the tour of the city was so informative.

Our guide, Andres, picked us up at our hotel in Puembo. It is a couple of hours to get to the Cloud Forest. Our guide gave us a lot of information and history as he drove. Once in the Cloud Forest, we saw the silver trees, but were unable to get photos. The hummingbird stop was more of a private home, but the gardens were beautiful. Lots of different hummingbirds and birds. We did get to have the feeder in our hand to feed the hummingbirds. We then drove to Mindo and took the cable car across. We did the 20 minute hike and swam in that waterfall. It was a really strong current, so not able to stay in the water too long, but it was still fun. It is a hike back up, but we made it. We did a Chocolate Tour, which was fun and informative. Our guide pre-ordered our lunch at the restaurant next door, so once we were done with the Chocolate Tour our lunch was ready. Super good lunch. It is a drive back to our hotel. Overall we were happy with the day. Half your time is spent driving. Maybe a chance to stop for photos in the Cloud Forest would make the tour better.

I would give Luis 10 stars if I could. He was amiable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The food was delicious and the sights were unforgettable. The tour was the perfect balance of activity and eating. Plus, we learned a lot about Quito.

Jimena was amazing. She arrived on time. Gave clear description of the day’s activities. She was very patient and gave us enough time to explore and take pictures. Would highly recommend.

Had an excellent time on July 4th. Ximena was a great guide and made sure I was having fun and provided me excellent cultural history of Ecuador and the Baños area. From this tour, you leave Quito to Baños and come back same day. In Baños, the tour is personalized to your liking. I did zip line, bungee jumped 50 meters, and saw some spectacular waterfalls in the start of the Amazon. Would definitely recommend this tour.

We did 2 tours. The first one was to mindo cloud forest. Our guide Wilson was amazing and LOVED HIM. We saw toucans and I ziplined through the Andes! Incredible! Second tour was of the city with Ximena, and we LOVED her, as well. Highly recommend both tours and this company! Thank you so much for such an incredible experience!

This day was full of exciting adventures with the best, super knowledgable tour guide I have ever had! Looking forward to having her as a guide again. This day was a blast. 12/10 recommend!

Pros: we absolutely loved this tour. Diana, our guide was amazing, welcoming, friendly, answered questions, and was accommodating with stops for the bathrooms, coffee, and just to take photos. And of course hiking Cotopaxi was incredible. Plus the lunch was to die for. (And good vegetarian options!) Cons: the agenda listed horseback riding, hiking, and lunch. About 2hrs in we asked when we would be horseback riding and were told actually this tour had none! Not sure if we were put on the wrong tour or if this was just a change of plans, and we were more excited about hiking anyhow, BUT! If you desperately want to horseback ride, triple check. 🤣

We enjoyed the cable cars. Our guide was very nice. The cable car was well timed as we went early and had good weather and beat the crowds. We enjoyed the views. We then went to old town and new town.

It was amazing! Hugo was so thoughtful and knowledgable! Definitely going to come back again!! You will Have an amazing adventure!

Unfortunately the cable car was closed for maintenance, but it was still a fantastic tour of Quito. Diana our guide for the day was fantastic. She was very helpful and enthusiastic and showed us so many wonderful things in this beautiful city
