We had an unforgettable day, which started with our guide Luis picking us up very punctually from our hotel. We then drove to Banos, at the upper Amazon region. There was a small delay in getting to the Whitewater rafting site, because of an unavoidable rock slide. This was cleared up, relatively quickly, and our local guides, William and Edwin, made the most of the time by showing us a local store where sugarcane candy was made, and we were able to see the process. When we got to the Whitewater rafting area, we were given all our equipment, and felt very confident that William and Edwin would take good care of us. The rafting was amazing, going through a beautiful valley in the Amazon. There were waterfalls and beautiful, vegetation all around. It felt almost unreal. The white water rafting itself was exciting, and due to rain was almost a class five at points. However, we felt safe the whole time with Edwin in a kayak, guiding our boat, and William steering Edwin was even able to take some amazing videos and pictures which they sent to us with no extra charge. We then had a delicious local lunch, and our guide Luis picked us up again. To make up for the small amount of last time, Luis extended our trip, which was very much appreciated. We then went to the Avenue of the waterfalls, where we saw beautiful waterfalls, and crossed some exciting suspension bridges to get there. We then took an extremely high gondola across the valley, with a spectacular view. Once across the valley, Luis took us on a walk, explaining the life of the indigenous people there, as well as showing us the local vegetation. It was really interesting! We had a great day, and only wished we could’ve stayed longer. Luis was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, everything a guide should be. We highly recommend this trip if you’d like to mix a little adventure with your exploration..

Booking proccess was simple despite our last minute christmas booking 😅 Our guide Andreas was very knowedable, enthusiastic, and spoke excellent english. We enjoyed that Antisana was off the beaten path and had spectacular views without being overrun by tourists. Highly reccomend.

Wonderful private day trip to cotopaxi and then on to quilotoa crater. Freddie, our guide and driver was great and we were able to achieve exactly what we had planned. We were lucky with the weather, cloud cover etc giving us amazing views. Worth leaving Quito early as the mornings tend to give the best chance of good weather. Pick up, driving, and drop off were faultless. Would definitely recommend.

Mindo is a busy tourist area with many activities that are an additional cost to the tour I wanted to see birds (and did) and to hike in the cloud forest-the waterfall trail was very nice-

This tour was amazing. Saw so many birds (including 3 species of Toucan) and butterflies. Had multiple hummingbirds land in our hands to feed. Freddy was a fabulous guide - friendly, informative, knowledgeable, flexible to match our interests, and a great driver. We had a time constraint, and when we ran into traffic Freddy went above and beyond to help us get to our next commitment. Highly recommend!

Great day trip with Omar. Humming birds were amazing as were the butterfies. Walk to waterfall was nice but downhill all the way which means uphill all the way back. This is hard if you are not too fit or have physical difficulties (eg new hip!). This should have been explained before heading off. This is our only criticism however, and the day as a whole was great.

Carlos was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable. Felt very safe and comfortable all day. Tour was great. Loved seeing all the birds, butterflies and flora.

Amazing day spent in the cloud forest around Mindo. David, our guide, was very knowledgeable and helpful, designing a bespoke day for us that totally suited our needs. Humming birds, canopy experience, chocolate and butterflies. Loved the whole day and really appreciated David’s local experience and Luis’ driving skills.

The Mindo Cloud Forest is a breathtaking destination that blends adventure, nature, and charm. The $5.00 tram ride over the treetops offers stunning views of the lush greenery, making you feel like you’re floating above the forest. Being part of a private tour allowed us the flexibility to choose hikes that matched our interests and energy levels, ensuring a personalized experience. The nearby town of Mindo was a delightful bonus, with its warm hospitality and relaxing vibe. Lunch was delicious, and the locally brewed coffee and unique coffee tea we brought home were exceptional souvenirs of the trip. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure and tranquility, Mindo is an excellent choice!

It was our first time to Ecuador and we were very lucky on our first tour to meet Juan as our guide. He told us so many things about the country and places that we are inspired to learn more and come back to Ecuador again.

Our guide Louis was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. We went Guango lodge and took a nature hike to see hummingbirds and other birds. We throughly enjoyed the day!

Daniel was a very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful guide. We visited two bird gardens for hummingbirds and tanangers--Daniel identified them all. The first garden with the patio where you could feed hummingbirds from your hand was the most exciting. The chocolate tour was interesting and a great introduction to the centuries old cacao export and the much newer production of Equadorian chocolate. Well worth my day, and Daniel walked me back to my hotel through the police baracaides.

Luis was a wonderful guide. We were able to go where wanted and stay as long as we wanted, which is not possible in larger groups.

The Mindo Cloud Forest was beautiful. Our guide Freddie was very knowledgeable, funny and relaxed, we could choose what we wanted to see. We went on the ziplines over the forest, fantastic fun, bird watching, lots of spectacular humming birds, great views too, butterfly conservation area and on the cable cards. Stopped at a nice restaurant for lunch, good quality food and finished with a chocolate tour. We had a brilliant day out.
