- Grunge1310 contributionsThe Samba WayThe trip of a lifetime, and the crew of the Samba made it amazing. We booked our trip through CNH Tours, they took care of everything, and arranged for all transportation and accommodations. The Samba is a very unique vessel among all the ships at the Galapagos, and we are so glad we chose to sail aboard her.Written March 15, 2025
- robcrankin0 contributionsExcellent, active Galapagos experienceWe had a very memorable time on the Samba and got a really in-depth experience of the Galapagos islands. The crew of six were extremely friendly and helpful and our guide Harry was excellent: friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and patient. The food was plentiful and good, especially breakfasts and lunches. We averaged three activities/day, mainly hiking, snorkeling and kayaking, and saw a ton of wildlife on land and in the water. The highlights were snorkeling with hammerheads and seeing a school of feeding whale sharks at sunset. The Samba's small size allows it to go places and respond to opportunities that bigger boats can't; some days, we didn't see another human being. Having only fourteen passengers also allowed for very fast transitions. My only reservations relate to the physical size of the boat. I'm 6'4" and could not stand upright anywhere in our cabin, and my bunk had less than 24" of head space. By the end of the cruise, I was really looking forward to headroom; for claustrophobes, it might be a dealbreaker (to be fair, our cabin had the lowest ceiling). Also, the Samba is a relatively small boat so we could feel the motion - we were very glad we brought seasick meds. Finally, there's a shortage of comfortable, shady seating on deck and the booths in the dining/common space require a lot of sliding in and out. Overall, if you're looking for an active eight-day itinerary, the Samba delivers for a very competitive price. It feels like a "real" boat and the whole experience has a genuine air of adventure. However, if you're looking for a comfortable cruise then there might be better alternatives.Written February 28, 2025

We swam with sea lions and sea turtles. Visited the Darwin center and explored volcanic landscapes. Rebecca tours made every day memorable on a budget we could afford.Written February 1, 2025

- Passport373767345810 contributionsDream trip to Ecuador: Galapagos, Andes, AmazonWe had a fantastic experience with Rebecca Travel from the initial booking through the entire trip. The booking experience began with a zoom call to get to know our agent, Juan. Juan was great at working through multiple trip iterations and always positive! Rebecca had great standard itineraries which we used as a basis for our vacation. We achieved a superb itinerary at a good price. During the trip, we received daily updates on what to expect. Additionally, there were some in-country issues that affected our trip. Karina and her staff were amazing in changing the order of our trip to see maximize our time in Ecuador. Through the trip, we found we had many private tours. The guides spoke good English, knowledgeable about the country and sights, and were generous with telling us about their lives. We wholeheartedly recommend booking and travelling with Rebecca Adventure Travel. It was a pleasure working with them during the booking and through the trip.Written January 1, 2025
- joshcI1364ZG0 contributionsA life-changing experience I'll never forgetI've known for a while that something inside of me was calling for a trip deep into the Amazon. This adventure finally became a reality and it was beyond what I had even expected. I owe all of my gratitude to my guide Daniel, his assistant guide Churi, and the family we stayed with (Gaba, Nemonte, Moipa and others). Daniel and his team picked me up at my hotel and I met my other accompanying traveler (who was soooo kind and such a perfect match for a trip). We drove outside of Coca to the entrance at Yasuni National Park and hopped immediately into kayaks. We spent the whole first day relaxing down the river, getting our river legs on our kayaks, and stopping in the middle to have a wonderful lunch. The whole trip was a wild ride from kayaking for hours to hiking deep into the forest, to fishing for piranhas, to night canoeing searching for caimans, to spending the whole day with the Waorani family (who made us feel like we were at home), to learning how to use a blowgun, to harvesting and cooking yuca, to chilling around the fire and gazing at the stars. The camp was magical. There's nothing like falling asleep with hundreds of layers of animals soundtracks in your ears. I felt so comfortable (like I could live there for weeks and weeks on end). Churi was an exquisite cook. I am still so amazed at everything he cooked with such limited resources. Every meal was so cleverly and beautifully prepared- full of good protein, fresh fruit, jugos naturales, and even cooked piranha :) Churi was so kind- he even voluntarily cleaned my backpack....I am so grateful for him. All of this would not have been possible without my guide Daniel. I knew since the first moment I met him that I could trust him, he would take care of me, and he would become a close friend and mentor. Daniel has a wealth of knowledge- he is truly a local who truly knows the ins and outs of the rainforest. His expertise is unparalleled and his attention to safety and detail is not overlooked a single second. He has extensive understanding of all of the flora and fauna in the forest. His medical knowledge allowed me to fully relax on the trip. There was never a moment where I didn't feel taken care of. I learned so much about the earth and the Waorani tribe from him. Even more incredibly, I learned so much about myself through him and that is more than I could have ever imagined. Thank you so much for pairing me with Daniel and his team. I'm so thankful and I will never forget this experience.Written December 15, 2024
- Joan F0 contributionsAbsolutely PerfectThis trip was planned and executed impeccably. I had a lot of contact before we arrived choosing individualized hotels, meals and activities. I was still nervous before we went due to questions about security and any arrangements we would have to make on our own. Rebecca adventure travels went so far above and beyond! They met us at every airport and squired us through every transportation mode leaving nothing to chance for non-Spanish speaking gringos. Their staff was uniformly welcoming and wonderful. We went first to San Cristóbal and stayed at Casa Playa Mann, a terrific small hotel near the center of town. A major surprise was the gourmet quality of each restaurant we went to. Our guide, Karen, showed us blue footed boobies. Next we flew a short inter island flight to Puerto Ayora. Hotel Ikala had the biggest never ever saw and also a great location. Our guide Cesar took us to see turtles. He was a total hoot and so informative! Lastly we flew back to Quito and stayed at the upscale Go Hotel. Our guide Fernando was amazing and knew so much of Ecuadorian history and culture. We toured the historic center and churches. We couldn’t be happier than with this tour company and now plan on using their other services throughout Latin America.Written November 13, 2024
- B7761UFjacquelineh0 contributionsgalapagosThe experience was beyond amazing, difficult to describe by words . You have to experience the nature on these island and doing this with Rebeca Adventures made the trip even more excellent. We were spoiled to the max. - lizhP3356ZG0 contributionsA Delicious Taste of QuitoThe perfect excursion for foodies who enjoy a little history. Our tour began with a specialty coffee tasting. We sampled delicious blends and learned a lot about what makes specialty coffee so unique. Then we toured one of Quito’s markets and tried some AMAZING local fruit. Then we had lunch at a stunning restaurant that had the best swordfish I’ve ever had. We closed our tour with an authentic Ecuadorian chocolate tasting. Absolutely delicious and so informative! A huge thank you to our amazing guide Fernando! His incredible knowledge of the city, the culture, and the history of Quito made for a truly fascinating tour! Exactly the type of guide you want to spend the day with. Cannot recommend this tour and guide enough!Written September 18, 2024
- marianapN986AK0 contributionsBest Galápagos ExperienceThe whole booking process was very straightforward and tailored to our needs and desires and all the staff was very nice. We had a worry-free vacation to the Galapagos, that was a good value for money when you consider how much everything costs in the Galápagos if you decide to arrange a "tour" on your own. Definitely recommend the company to anyone interested in visiting South America!Written August 11, 2024
- Georgeglas0 contributionsRebecca Travel is outstanding and organized a magical and memorable experience for usAn amazing trip and Rebecca did an outstanding job organizing everything for us. We picked Rebecca since it is a smaller company that hires local people. Before our trip, we were wondering if we should have bit the bullet and paid for a cruise. We are so happy that we did the land option instead. Why? 1. you have time on your own to stroll around the islands and discover on your own. 2. experience locally owned restaurants for dinner and lunch/snacks/drinks. 3. Meet a variety of different people since your itinerary is based on you as opposed to a large group. 4. Stay in locally owned accommodations Lodging: The three hotels we stayed in were clean, friendly, breakfast provided and provided purified drinking water. Casa de Nelly (San Cristobel) Hotel Coloma (Santa Cruz) Hotel San Vincent (Isabella) Hot water, good water pressure Body wash and shampoo provided Fridges in most rooms Clean beds/sheets Comfortable pillows Air conditioning Helpful and knowledgeable staff Each hotel was locally owned with a sense of pride, a nice change from large chain hotels. Tours: Kicker Rock Kayaking Paddle boarding Los Tuneles Mountain Biking Tortoise breeding centre Sierra Negro All tours were outstanding. Well organized, passionate and friendly guides. Family friendly. We can’t say enough about the tours Rebecca organized for us. Rebecca was very responsive to our questions. Each afternoon Carlos sent us a message via What’s App regarding the next day’s itinerary along with what to bring for the excursion. We met people who were in other tour groups and they did not receive the same experiences as we did on the tours organized through Rebecca. Examples to name a few: Isabela Island - Sierra Negro hike. Our guide provided hiking poles and purified water/lunch was provided after our hike. We were also taken to a local produce farm. After speaking to people who hiked with a different company, hiking poles and water was not provided, nor did they visit a farm to taste different fruits. Snorkelling Los Tuneles: Amazing guide and Captain - he videoed the snorkelling excursion so we could bring home memories of sea life - we met others who went to Los Tuneles and they did not get this added touch of the videos. Transportation: Rebecca organized our ferry rides between the islands thank goodness and someone representing Rebecca met us at each pier helping us to embark or disembark. They were really helpful and all knew our itinerary. We were so pleased with Rebecca Travel and would highly recommend this company to help organize your trip to the Galapagos.Written August 9, 2024

Fantastic tour of the best hikes in the area, my favorite being the long day hike up to Quilotoa crater. My husband and I are both in our 60s, and while we are fit, we had never hiked at high altitudes. We spent a few days in and around Quito to acclimate before the hike started. But I credit our experienced and professional guide Daniel with helping us succeed in getting up to the 5100-meter high lagoon at Chimborazo and the almost equally high base camp at Cotopaxi. Most of the hotels were also well chosen, with comfortable rooms and good food.

Our guide and driver, Christian and Elias Valencia, exceeded all our expectations .They were punctual and conscientious with all our events ,and pleasantly answered all our questions about destinations, history, flora. fauna. and cuisine , Because my wife hikes at a different pace than myself, Elias escorted her carefully while Christian hiked with me . They were patient and very encouraging and always humorous ! We thoroughly enjoyed their company ! The food they provided was excellent and always presented with a flare and very fresh . Elias was an excellent driver, and anticipated and handled every dangerous road condition.. We greatly miss our " Road Amigos " !

Our guide, Alirio, was incredible. The tour ended up just being me and my husband and we had such a great experience. It was a new way to travel for us, but wow was it adventurous and beautiful! It was nice not to have to plan anything and just to get up and get outside hiking every day.

We were a group of 9 who already had a planned Galapagos Islands cruise through another company. We decided to add on a trip from Quito since that was our base for the cruise. We came upon Rebecca Adventure Travel and their 6-Day Andes Hiking tour. They were excellent to work with, responsive and detailed in their planning. We had our own guide and driver with our own bus. The trip met all of our expectations and then some. We saw the core of the Andes within Ecuador and came away impressed. It was well planned and our guide was excellent. If we return to Ecuador or Peru, we will definitely contact them again.
