Overview
Explore the rugged surroundings and stunning scenery of Cotopaxi National Park and Cotopaxi Volcano during this 8-hour day trip. Enjoy a short hike into the Limpiopungo Valley before driving ever-higher into this sky-high region, stopping at the 15,800-foot (4830-meter) Padre Rivas Refuge. If you’re feeling up for it, you’ll continue to the 16,500-foot (5,050-meter) Cotopaxi Glacier. This Cotopaxi day trip also includes national park fees, a guide, bottled water, round-trip hotel transport and an optional trip upgrade with lunch.
What to Expect
Pick up from your centrally hotel in Quito.  It will start at approximately 8 am. Meet your guide and board a vehicle heading south of Quito and towards Cotopaxi National Park. On the way, you will take in the beautiful views of the Andes mountain range and gorgeous natural scenery.

Once you get to Cotopaxi Volcano National Park, you will visit the Interpretation Center where you will learn more about the park’s unique biodiversity, and visit the Limpiopungo lagoon. . Take a short hike in the surrounding of Limpiopungo valley and amazing photos!. On the way to the Padre Rivas refuge (4000 meters).If weather permits you will have a walk  for about 2 hours up to 16,000 feet (4,800 meters) above sea level. If you are phisically good,  we can walk up from the refuge up to the glazier (5000 meters) (It depends on National Park restrictions)

Enjoy of tipical ecuadorian menu lunch  at a local hostería (if option selected) and finally return to Quito and be dropped-off at your hotel.
