Stop At: Tac Turismo, San Antonio 19, Santiago 8320263 Chile

The Cuneo family, of Italian origin, founded Casas del Bosque in 1993 in the Casablanca Valley, located 70 kilometers from Santiago, capital of Chile, and 30 kilometers from the port of Valparaíso, Unesco's Cultural Heritage. The large and ancient forests of pines and olive trees, and small white adobe houses, gave rise to the name of "Casas del Bosque".

At present, the vineyard has a unique vineyard of 235 hectares, dedicated exclusively to the production of cold climate varieties, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah. The Cabernet Sauvignon and the Carmenere come from vineyards carefully managed in Maipo, Colchagua and Cachapoal.

Valparaiso is a must see destination!
Best tour ever with the very best tour guide ever, Catalina. We learned a ton on this tour and saw so much. Valparaiso has a lot of character, colorful homes, interesting art and great street-scapes. If you are in Chile don't miss it. Catalina our tour guide was wonderful - she made the trip so much fun. Everyone on the bus became friends. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Full day birding to the snow fields
We travelled with Albatross tours to the mountains looking for wildlife particularly birds. The night before it snowed in the mountains which added to the trip. We were fortunate to see Condors up close - an unexpected bonus this time of year. Our guide and driver were excellent and we would use again without hesitation.

Easy & enjoyable day trip to Valparaiso & Vina del Mar
Connie was an awesome guide - particularly having to share information in 3 languages - English, Portuguese and Spanish. The tour was very easy and comfortable - and she let the group decide what would work for them as well - so was great. Very interesting details - and engaging tour for the day. The pick up time while early at 7.10am was on time - which we were concerned about - and drop back time was also not too late at around 5pm. Would thoroughly recommend this.

Great tour
The guide Ismail was wonderful and explained everything along the way. The driver was also very nice. We had a great time. The tour is a bit long, but covers Valparaiso and Vina del Mar widely. I recommend them!

Short and not sweet.
The company tac turismo were over an hour late picking us up so we missed the start of the tour. We were not told a pick up and they then tried to charge us an extra £20 because we were late going back. I would not book with the company ever again haven’t had an apology or response to my email. The tour itself was ok. Quite short and limited in information I felt.

Tour to Valle Nevado
Great opportunity to visit Farallones and Valle Nevado, and enjoy a sunny day on the snow in one of the top skiing places on the Andes. We rented a sled and spent the day sliding down the mountains, enjoying the great views from there:)

We saw so much!
What a wonderful tour for this price! And the van was clean and comfortable. First of all, the guide Cony (Constance) is amazing. Most of the people on the bus spoke Spanish/Portuguese. I speak and understand Spanish but my husband was the only one out of 15 people who did not understand much. She spoke and did the tour in all 3 languages! She was warm, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Clean bathrooms available at almost every stop, which was a huge bonus! The restaurant that the tour recommended was great! It was affordable too - The view, and delicious, “shareable” portions...we could not have that service in the states for that price! Valparaíso was definitely our favorite spot...so much character and culture! Cony made it so interesting! Lastly, there was unexpected traffic on the way back to Santiago due to a protest downtown. She handled it with a positive attitude and gave everyone options to get home quicker by metro since the streets were packed. She was still so appreciative and kind when we were dropped off at our hotel late. My ONLY dislike and concern about the tour was that our driver (never caught his name) was on the phone and answering calls and texting while driving. We had a couple of sudden stops, one which probably woke up everyone including myself while on our way back. It’s against the law in my state due to all the accidents caused, so maybe it is more of a personal pet peeve of mine. All in all, I was only in Santiago for a week and I was so glad we took this tour! Thanks so much to our guide, Cony!

Fantastic tour - well worth it
We got picked up on time from our AirBnB. Our guide (Ismael) was a lovely young man, cheerful and entertaining. He spoke really good English and explained everything really well. Our firs stop was in a really cold wine tasting/restaurant place. We skuttled around the heaters and had some coffee, as wine tasting did not appeal at 8am. An unnecessary stop, in our opinion. We arrived in sunny Vina del Mar around 10am, visited the flower clock and had a walk on the beach. It was lovely but a bit too long, as it was still cold and there wasn't that much to do - so the Vina del Mar visit could be shorter. Valparaiso is a whole different story. It is a place that deserves a long visit as it is quite spectacular, arty, joyful and interesting. Ismael took us on a long walk, meandering the streets and admiring the murals and art work in this quirky, eccentric town. We visited Pablo Neruda's house La Sebastiana and had a lovely lunch at a local restaurant which prepared a several course menu for a really good price. We wish we had more time to explore and visit markets on our own, but I guess there is a risk for the tour organisers that people may get lost in the maze of this town. We had a lovely time and recommend this tour to everyone.

Not enough time to ski
This tour is more of a sightseeing tour than a day on the slopes. You start very early, and our pick up was on time and conveniently from our AirBnB. We got taken to a ski hire place, which was a bit chaotic, but we hired everything we needed. The guide could have helped a bit more by explaining how the place works, but instead was nowhere to be seen. When we got to Valle Nevado at about 10am we were told that we have until 12pm and we protested and were extended to 1pm. By the time we found lockers and bought ski passes, another hour had gone, as the resort was busy. Again, the guide was nowhere to be found and never explained what's where. We finally got on the slopes and then texted the guide that we wanted to stay longer and ski and that we were not interested in having lunch at Fallerones. She said, they'd pick us up at 2pm. We still can't understand what the hurry was and why we could't ski until at least 3pm. All in all - if you are planning to ski, don't take this tour. It is not worth it. It is better to hire a car and just drive up to the fields and stay as long as you want.
