Tour Privado - Casablanca !! Private visit to 3 vineyards
The experience was amazing. Felipe was a great guide and connoisseur of the region and the vineyards. The places we visit were all unique and different which gave us a different taste and knowledge. I appreciated the flexibility since we arrive suddenly and Felipe was able to plan the tour within 24 hours and it was spectacular !! Gracias Felipe!! You made us love wine even more!!!

          Best Experience Ever
Honestly this tour and Felipe and Christian are amazing. I organised this for my girlfriend’s birthday and it was perfect. This was my first time riding a horse and they made me feel very safe and comfortable and in no time I was enjoying it and was riding naturally. The whole experience was perfect and both Felipe and Christian are very knowledgeable and speak English perfectly. Spend the little extra money to do this and you won’t regret it.

          Recommend for Maipo Region
I would recommend this group without hesitation. Felipe and team are very welcoming and accommodating to your particular needs. I went horseback trail riding with someone from his team. Everyone made me feel welcome to the Maipo region and taught me so much about the area. They took great pictures of the experience on a professional camera. Also, had a great bottle of wine to enjoy at a beautiful rest stop.

Unique and intimate private wine tour of Maipo Valley wineries
Excellent guide and driver, great knowledge of the wine and region but also you get a great history lesson of Chile at the same time. The 3 wineries they take you to and excellent and our guide Cristian knew the staff personally. Lunch at the Santa Rita property was also excellent. Driving from Felipe was safe and good, only thing is the car is not luxury for the price you pay for a private trip. Other wine tours I’ve had would have a more luxury transportation. But overall an outstanding day out.

Fantastic wine and horseback ride tour.
This was truly one of the best experiences ever. Everything was so well organised from the start till the drop off at our Airbnb. Felipe and Cristian picked us up around 08:30 and quickly we found the wine glasses in the backseats. Since this is a combination wine tour, Felipe opened a bottle and Cristian gave us the background information of the wine. Best pickup ever. We drove to a lovely private home for breakfast and along the way the wine tasting continued. We were welcomed by a Constanza in her home where she had prepare a great breakfast with bread from their own little bakery. Off course with coffee, orange juice and wine. After breakfast we went to the range of Adolfo to do some horseback riding. Adolfo is a great cowboy who guided us through some challenging small paths with the horses. No worries even if you are inexperienced like me the horse knows exactly what to do. The ride is about 1 and a half hour which is perfect for inexperienced riders. In the meantime Felipe prepared a super nice Chilean BBQ. After the BBQ we went to a wine tasting on a vineyard and were brought back to our hotel around 18:00. During the whole day the wine flows generously. Thank you Cristian, Felipe, Adolfo and Constanza for this great experience.

Amazing Experience! I cannot recommend strongly enough
My wife and I signed up for two tours with the company, the little wine bus and the Maipo Valley for wine lovers. We ended up being the only customers so we had two amazing private tours! Both were fantastic. Felipe was our driver and Cristian was our tour guide. Both spoke amazing English, had worked at wineries in the area, and were incredibly knowledgeable about wine. Everything exceeded our expectations. We went on tours with other providers while in Santiago but the service here was the best. Felipe and Cristian were waiting inside the lobby of our hotel to make sure we were prepared for the full-day excursions. On other tours, the van barely stopped at the curb and we had to hop on quickly. Felipe stocked the van with plenty of water so we could hydrate between wineries. He also had wine and glasses in the van us in case we wanted to enjoy vino between locations. Both trips included intimate meals with locals in the area (an artist/bakery owner and a shop owner). It was great to have conversations with someone outside of Santiago to get a different perspective on Chilean life. Felipe was so thoughtful that when I casually mentioned I like craft beer on the first tour he planned a quick stop at a craft brewery for the second day!

Best 2 days of wine touring ever
My wife and I booked 2 private wine tours (Maipo Valley and Colchagua Valley) with Maipo Valley Wine Tours. We have done wine tours in New Zealand, Australia, California and Niagara Canada and these Chilean tours were definitely the best we have done to date. If we could give them 10 stars out of 5 we would as we can not imagine how our experience could have been any better. We worked out the details for the 2 trips via email with Juan who set us up with 3 wineries and lunch each day. Juan was easy to work with and was helpful with information on staying and eating in Santiago and on local customs (tipping, best time to book dinners, travel stuff). Each of the wineries Juan suggested had a slightly different feel, from large and modern to smaller and more intimate and each offered something in addition to a tour of the winery itself and wine tasting (most with 5 or fewer people) such as a drive through the vineyards or a guided walk through the grounds or gardens or a collection of native artifacts. Like the wineries, the two restaurants Juan booked for lunch each day were also very different from each other. The food was excellent at both, but one was a very modern outdoor bistro overlooking the winery while the other was in a heritage building where we ate on a large veranda overlooking a garden. On our first day we were met by our driver extraordinaire Filipe and our very knowledgeable wine tour guide Christian, both who spoke excellent English. Filipe is an excellent driver and made sure we were hydrated and comfortable and on time for all our tours. Christian works at a winery (not one in the areas we visited) and is well versed in Chilean wines, history and culture. On the way to the wineries, he gave us information on the wine and the winery as well as the history of Chile and day to day life in Chile. He seemed to know someone at every winery we visited and made sure we were well looked after. At each of the wineries, he introduced us to the winery tour guide, collected us after the tour and confirmed our lunch reservation at the restaurant. He was also very helpful selecting wines which we bought to enjoy on our South American cruise. He made sure to find us the best wines and the best years and as we drank the wines on the cruise, we appreciated his selections. You could not have a better team to do wine tours from Santiago and we consider them more than just tour guides, we consider them our friends.

Tour the Maipo Valley wine region as one of the family!
On Juan's recommendation, on the last day of our 3 months in South America, we decided to do the Little Wine Bus tour, and asked them to drop us at the airport when we were finished. We usually prefer a private tour because my Dad has limited mobility, which slows everything down for everyone, but as it turned out there was no one else on our tour anyway. We were met in our hotel lobby by our guide, Maipo Valley local Cristian, after introducing himself, and then doing most of the work loading our luggage into the Little Wine Bus, we headed off from Santiago. Cristian provided a comprehensive and engaging commentary along the way covering everything from the day's schedule to the history, geography and the varietals of the region and everything in between. We started with a beautiful, intimate brunch at the home and studio of acclaimed Maipo Valley artist Constanza Mayo, where Cristian was greeted like an intimate friend, and us as his close personal friends - a trend that continued throughout the whole day. We visited a number of brilliant wineries, all quite different from each other, showing the vast diversity and contrasts of the region, and at each we tasted a selection of their wines that showcased the specific different aspects of their wines. At each, us being invited in like close family because we were there with Cristian. We did a wine flight at one, a full tour if the winery grounds, vineyard and cellars at one, and sat in the private cellar and tasting room at another. Between winery visits we stopped for a lovely lunch at one of the local restaurants, the food was excellent, and Cristian also pulled out one of the premium wines from the winery we'd just visited to accompany it. The day was fantastic right to the very end, where our driver and guide unpacked our bags from the bus at the airport and we parted with warm, heartfelt hugs.

Great priavte one-day wine tour in Maipo Valley
The tour was so fun and I enjoyed it very much. I traveled alone, but my private guide Christian and driver/coordinator Felipe kept me very good company. We visited three wineries in Maipo valley. I have done tastings in each of them. Each of the estates has its own characteristics and beautiful architectures, and great wines of course. During the trip, Chrisitan shared a lot of wine knowledge with me as well as interesting facts about the city and the country.

Excellent tour and amazing guide ! A perfect day.
Extraordinary perfect day! Our guide Christian was amazing. He was so very knowledgeable about wines, the wineries and the area. He is a trained sommelier and it was clear that everyone at the wineries knows him - he made the day very special. The lunch at Dona Paola was very good. Everything is included.

bike tour of Isla de Maipo
We did an all-day bike tour of Isla de Maipo with Christian, and had a great day biking through towns and the countryside, through vineyards, visiting local artists, stopping for lunch, and culiminating with a wine tour at the impressive Santa Ema winery. Definitely recommend Felipe's tours for a genuine local experience!

So Memorable, So Personalized, So Fun!
We had such a wonderful day in the Maipo Valley! Felipe was so attentive and helpful with everything - picking us up and dropping us off, fitting our bikes and helmets, retrieving my glasses after I forgot them in the bike vest, and helping me with my bike gears! Christian is a total gem - super knowledgeable about wine and the vineyards, very insightful about current trends for citizens in Chile, very open about his background growing up in Chile, very patient in explaining the local atmosphere and culture, and very concerned about us having a great experience that day. My boys are teenagers, and he related to them so well. Seeing the countryside outside of Santiago was such a lovely experience! We biked through vineyards, saw the breathtaking landscapes, visited a local artist and a local bakery, had a walking tour of the Undurraga vineyard and wine productions facilities, and ate a delicious lunch in a local home. I really cannot say enough great things about our day with Felipe and Christian. Thank you both for showing to us and explaining to us so much about the Maipo Valley and Chile. We will cherish the memories for years to come!

If you are only about the wine, this tour is not for you. But if you enjoy excellent conversation, true Chilean food, experiencing Chilean culture, as well as learning about Chilean wines, then I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Christian was knowledgeable about all things Chilean, and definitely knew his wines. He was enthusiastic and was excellent in bringing our small group together. We stopped first for a delightful breakfast at the house of an artist. There, we enjoyed breakfast wine. Who knew? Then we traveled to a couple of small vineyards in Maipo Valley and enjoyed and learned about the unique qualities of Chilean wines as we sampled. A wonderful picnic lunch followed in an idyllic farmyard setting. A kind of Garden of Eden with bushes and trees laden with fruit, free range chickens, etc,, with the Andes Mountains in the background. After visiting a couple more wineries, we headed home. My husband and I left knowing much more than we started about Chile—the wines, foods, way of life, people. It was an unforgettable experience.

Christian our tour guide was outstanding!!, He spent equal amount of time for both the Spanish and English. He was extremely knowledgeable. Tour surprised us with a stop at a local artist and breakfast where the wine tasting started. More than mere samples. Visited some lovely smaller wineries plus 2 bigger ones. Went beyond the tasting room to see the vaults and behind the scenes. Lunch was in a lovely courtyard and was very satisfying. More than enough wines and well varied. Tour was extremely informative and the people involved were great. Thanks Christian for making this one of the highlights. Was honest and did not push any wine. Would definitely take this tour again. well worth it. Gracias!!

Just returned from a very enjoyable wine tour of Maipo Valley, Chile. Christian was an interesting guide and very knowledgeable. We had our first wine tasting with a light brunch at a local artist's home. Then onto three wineries and a stop for lunch which was also included. Fun day, with many wines. Great value.

This wine tour was a perfect mix of tasting, ambiance, education and sheer fun!! It truly delivers a full understanding of the wines of Chile without a "tourist" vibe. Beginning with a delightful breakfast and wine, traditional empanadas and wine, a lunch of fresh caught fish and wine, and wine and sherbert!! All in the backyard of the locals! This was weaved into visits of wineries where we learned even more about the process. Carolina was our guide - from Chile - but speaks English as well as we do coming from the states. Since our Spanish is limited this was extremely important. But moreover, Carolina knows her wine and much about Chile in general! We came away with an incredible understanding of the area as well as wine!! The best investment we made as part of our visit to Chile was connecting with this tour and Carolina. Many thanks!!

Heeeey Julie! How nice you had a good time and had lots of fun! But it is very important for us as well to be considered “BEST INVESTMENT” Ooooh that is precisely the goal of the experiences we offer. We’ll congratulate Carolina on your behalf. Yes, she’s pure gold. By the way, we hope to see you here some time with your daughter. What a pity she could not make it. ALL THE BEST, Juan

I wholeheartedly recommend this unique experience with Maipo Valley Wine Tours. Carolina, was my guide and she graciously guided us around the Maipo Valley region. I took this tour as a solo participant and met a lovely couple along with Carolina. From the moment I was picked up at my hotel, I felt at ease with the friendliness Carolina extended. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and every stop we took was wonderful. Highlights for me were the breakfast and wine at an artists private home, our visit to Granja Fantastica - where Giancarlo served us wine fresh out of the barrel and taught us about the winemaking process, and then our private lunch at Casaquinta Peumayen, where we were able to explore the grounds and see the wildlife. In addition, we visited more traditional and beautiful wineries. Truly had the best day and would do it all over again the next time I visit!

My wife and I took this tour in December 2022 on our first day in Chile after arriving via an overnight flight. It was a nice introduction to the country. Communication via text was smooth beforehand. The breakfast and lunch, both hosted at the homes of locals, were a great touch. Christian was a capable guide loaded with information, not just about wine but about the area and its history. Very enjoyable day.

One word of warning: This tour does not feature wine tastings per se. Rather, you show up at each of the four vineyards with a single, pre-purchased bottle of wine (or a bottle that your guide purchases in the moment) that you can enjoy on premises. Given the description, I had expected tastings at each vineyard. Instead of being served a variety of pours in a tasting room by someone who works at the vineyard, you drive up to various producers and open a bottle. That could be good or bad depending on your preferences.

We also ended up being the only two people on the day's tour, which made for an intimate experience but also meant we were in the back of a sedan rather than the "little wine bus" in the description. Again, could be good or bad depending on your perspective.

Overall we had fun. Christian shows you a great time and there are worse ways to spend a day in Santiago. But if you're looking for traditional wine tastings where you really get a sense of each vineyard, this might not be for you.

Hello! I’m glad you had a very enjoyable day. Thanks for your comment it is VERY IMPORTANT FOR FUTUR VISITORS: you’re absolutely right. The Little wine bus is our only group tour and it does not include a tour and a tasting conducted by the wineries that are visited. Advise: review other Little wine bus comments before booking it. Our guests describe it better than us. It is a tour to have fun, learn about Maipo Valley Chilean wine and try the wines of the different wineries visited. All other tours are private and include tours and tastings conducted by each of the wineries visited. Nevertheless, I would like to mention that all our tours, also the little wine bus, include a wine expert local guide. My apologies if the description was not clear enough. We’ll try to improve it. Thanks for coming. All the best, Juan

We had a wonderful day wine tasting with Christian (our tour guide) and Felipe (the driver and an owner of the company). We chose this tour specifically because we were looking for more wine tasting and were not interested in extensive tours of wineries and vineyards. We visited four wineries. Christian told us about each winery and we had one glass of wine at three of the wineries and a flight of three wines at one winery. We started the day at the charming house of a local artist, who prepared breakfast for us. It felt really special to be sharing food in someone’s home rather than at a restaurant. She showed us her art and her husband’s panadería, operated out of a small building on the property. Lunch felt similarly special as we visited another home. The family there runs a B&B in the back and we had an excellent meal prepared by the matriarch. It included asparagus soup, lasagna, and preserved fruit from their property. The real highlight of the day was Christian, our guide, who was a wealth of knowledge about Chile and Chilean culture. He wears many hats: video game storyteller, sommelier, winery tour guide (at a winery in addition to this tour). He has also worked making wine and has an extensive interest and knowledge of Chilean history. I felt that we learned so much, not only about Chilean wine and winemaking, but also about the history and culture of Chile. If we are lucky enough to come back to Chile, we will definitely reserve another tour with Maipo Valley Wine Tours!

We've been wine tasting all over the world, and this was one of our favorite experiences. It was intimate and unique and we felt like we really got to see and taste authentic Chilean wines. Christian was an amazing, fun guide, and we felt like we left with a new friend. We would do it again if we could. =)

We we were a group of four Canadian ladies and took a chance on this tour. Well, we could not have been more pleased with our fabulous day of fun, wine, food and laughter! Christian & Helen were are guides for our group of 12 mixed ages, genders and nationalities. The one thing we had in common was that we were going to have a great day! We went to four wineries: we were served a light brunch with wine at a artisans house; next we went to a winery to learn about the region and the soil, grapes and history and enjoyed wine; next we went to a small farmhouse and was served a wonderful tasty lunch outside under trees with more wine; finally we went to a large vineyard where we relaxed outside and enjoyed different types of wine.
If you like to have fun and enjoy lots of wine .... then this is the tour for you!
        Thanks for the wonderful memories!

WOW WOW WOW! I had the absolute best time on this tour! Felipe is a wonderful host and such a kind person. My tour guide was Christian and he is the best. Both of them made the wine experience. Absolutely fantastic for me and my coworker. We enjoyed delicious food, wine, conversation. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in the Santiago area to get a fabulous overview of the culture, the landscape, the people and the wine five stars!
