The activity begins early in the morning with us picking you up from your residence point at 7:00am. Once we get all the adventurers inside the van, we’ll give you an official welcome and a brief description of the activity, alongside with some information about the day conditions, times and team in charge. Then we will head towards our destination.
After about 2 hours travelling, we will enter the Arenas Valley, were you’ll be able to enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the surroundings, with mountains over 3,000 meters above sea level. Right before we start hiking, we will provide you with a mid-morning snack.
The trek lasts about three hours to get to the area where the Hanging Glacier is located. Along the trail we will be able to see major peaks and some other minor snow blocks, while a small ice-melting-based river will be our companion during the hike. Once we arrive at the base of the Glacier, we will have time to take pictures and have our lunch there, while we enjoy the surroundings and a comfortable view of the glacier, the lake and some summits around.
After about 1-hour touring around and chilling, we’ll start our hike back to the van, while the sun sets by the mountains and clouds show up, performing the classic mountain weather cycle.
