- Kristin W0 contributionsHighly recommend! We loved Cristian! He gave an amazing tour. Got to see a lot of great spots in the city and he had very informative and interesting facts and stories to share at each stop. Would highly recommend!Written September 27, 2024
- RichardE2330 contributionsOutdoor lovers dream come trueThis 3000 “hill” is a hikers and bikers dream come true sitting in the middle of Santiago alongside skyscrapers. You can take the RT gondola up to the top to see the Cristobal statue and/or walk down. It is breathtaking and a MUST do in SantiagoWritten September 17, 2024
- grahamec5880 contributionsGreat day with ChristianGreat day visiting the Maipo Valley and the reservoir with Christian. He was a mine of information, his English is perfect and he found us a fabulous place for lunch. Unhesitatingly recommend.Written September 17, 2024
- Paul F0 contributionsGreat day out with a wonderful guideAn amazing day with our brilliant tour guide Juan - we would totally recommend this tour as a must do when in Santiago. Wrap up warmly though! The delicious hot chocolate on the way home was a bonus !!!!Written September 15, 2024
- sarahrO2765LF0 contributionsBest tour in ChileOur tour guide Juan, made this such an amazing day! He was knowledgeable on so many things historical/social/agriculture and we had so much fun. Lots of laughs and tailored to exactly what we wanted to do. Horseback ride along the coast, sea lions at the port, Valparaiso market, and stop at a winery!Written September 8, 2024
- H7305MBjeffc0 contributionsVacationIf you want to get to know a city quickly this is an excellent way to go. Tomas was an exceptional guide with so much knowledge of the city and history of Chile. Visited places that it would take many trips to find and provided me with a great bucket list of places to visit during my stay.Written August 31, 2024
- jpsdrivesfast10 contributionsLoved our tour with Mauricio! We had a wonderful day in Valparaiso and Viña Del Mar with our driver and tour guide Mauricio with Huaso Tours. This was our first trip to Chile and we were excited to get an in-depth view of the culture, history, and sights. Mauricio was very accommodating with a comfortable van and well stocked with water and all the things we might need on our drive. On our drive, he engaged us with stories about the country and places we were going to visit. We also loved the fact that he tailored the tour to our interests after asking us what we would rather spend our time seeing and experiencing. Unlike other tour guides, he did not send us into any tourist traps with pressure to purchase items. By the end of our trip, we felt like long time friends! Mauricio speaks excellent English, so we would definitely recommend him for any tourists from the US or English speaking countries.Written August 27, 2024
- John B0 contributionsNice walking tourHad a nice walking tour around Santiago with Juan, would recommend. He provided a sense of the city’s and country’s history along with information about key historic sites.Written August 18, 2024
- David S0 contributionsExcellent tour of Santiago!Mauricio was an excellent tour guide. His English was easy to understand and he was very knowledgeable of Santiago, the history and neighborhoods. We had an excellent time. Highly recommend.Written August 18, 2024
- 150alad0 contributionsRecommend! My husband and I did this tour. Wonderful, easy-going way to see the cultural highlights of the city. Santiago is great for cycling. Jaime, our guide, took great care of us. So glad we did this. I recommend doing this early in your stay so that you can plan where you want to spend more time if you have a few days in Santiago.Written August 13, 2024
- G9228ZUallenw0 contributionsNot greatMy wife and I travel a lot and in every new city we take a city tour to learn more about the area. Our tour guide Jaime did not seem interested in doing the tour. There was little discussion about the different areas we were traveling through. We had a driver so Jaime had no reason to not engage. There never seemed to bring up much history of the city. We had a food tour the day before that brought us to the Central Market ... upon hearing this Jaime cut that portion out. Our tour was just 3 hours ... not worth it.Written August 13, 2024
- 392candacer0 contributionsA great day in Canyon de MaipoThis tour was amazing! Mauricio our tour guide went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He brought my husband and I hiking to see the lake and had a great lunch and delicious wine after at Concha y Toro. Would highly recommend this tour!Written August 13, 2024
- mrfoxil0 contributionsGot connected to ChileI really enjoyed my tour with Lautaro. I learned a whole lot about Santiago, chile, and chilenos. At times I felt that I was back in a university class. I applaud Lautauro from not shying away from the national library where some of the USs more shameful moments were on display. But it just reminded me that governments do what thy do, but people are people and can get past that when they look in each other's eyes and see their common humanity. Great tour and thanks for making me for more connected to Chile!Written August 12, 2024

Mountain biking round San Cristobal and the nearby mountains is completely amazing. I’ve done this each time I’ve visited Santiago and it is a highlight of my holiday. They have fabulous guides (and bikes) who adapt the downhill biking according to what you want. There are steep technical trails for experts as well as more gentle trails- all of which have amazing views. And you don’t have to travel since this is downtown Santiago!

Great MTB ride with Francisco. This ride is clearly not for beginners and provides you with some stunning views from San Cristobal hill. I can highly recommend the ride to passionate cyclists who enjoy a good ride with an unique view on Santiago.

Had a very enjoyable evening ride with Patricio for three hours covering a cable car ascent lots of single track descent and a 600m climb. Nice and challenging route and great company. Would recommend this for MTB enthusiasts.

I wanted to ensure I didn’t waste my only weekend in Santiago with a disappointing tour and did a lot of research on operators. Huaso was right up there in terms of review / recommendations. After my own experience I agree wholeheartedly!
Patricio was my guide and couldn’t be any friendlier - he was also very accommodating in customizing the tour to my level of biking ability (so-so), experience (low) and fitness (very low!). Based on just some limited initial feedback he was able to prepare a tour that was ‘just right’! It ticked all the boxes - mountain biking on some technical trails, park path rides, cable car, even some local recommendations for lunch! What made this private tour excellent (rather than just great) was Patricio’s fully immersing himself into the tour - he is fully invested in the business and not just another hired ‘tour guide’. Unlike some other operators, at no point did I feel he was trying to cut the tour short - in fact nearing the end I was the one feeling ‘that’s enough, let’s go home’ :)
I certainly left feeling like I fully got my money’s worth!!
Btw Patricio claims that he can’t speak English but I don’t speak any Spanish yet we chatted easily for a full 3 hours so don’t let language put you off this tour. He is more than conversant in English.
Well recommended! Now to rest my aching limbs ... :)

I travel to Santiago at least once per year for business. I've always debated on taking my own mountain bike to ride after work. However it can be costly to carry your bike internationally and extremely difficult to navigate trails you've never ridden or to know if they can or can't be ridden at all. So I started doing some searching and found HuasoTours on Instagram which lead me to their website and their different tours. I set up the San Cristobal Hill Mountain Bike tour and it was well worth it. I've been mountain biking for 20 plus years and these trails were challenging but not too tough and a lot of fun. The scenery is incredible as the trails travel the edge and the ridge top of Cerro San Cristobal with uninterrupted views of Santiago. Having Patricio as a guide was well worth the price. I didn't have to fumble with a map as he knew exactly where we were going and based on my skills knew exactly what I would like and where to go next. I look forward to my next trip to Santiago and another ride with Patro and Huaso Tours.

Hello Ward, thank you very much for taking the time to review us in detail. We are passionate bikers, especially Patricio who's been practicing MTB since he was little. One of the greatest reasons to live in Santiago is because it's an entertaining city and also because it has very good bike paths, parks, hills and mountains. This is precisely why we live, have our house and office just below the hill for being able to enjoy the mountains, nature and hills. We are always looking for new routes and trails, before starting the tour we have a chat with our clients / cyclists, a few minutes before so that we know about their biking experience. This way we can adapt the trails and routes to give you the most appropriate route according to your level. If you'll be returning back the next years, we will always have new routes. The metropolitan park & san cristobal hill hides great trails and views. Un fuerte abrazo amigo! thank you for having an open mind and choosing Patricio as your Guide in Spanglish, the open minded people, even with a language barrier, usually end up havng great memories! We hope to see you again Sincerely, Patricio & Jenni

It was a great tour, Baltazar was a fantastic guide, so interesting about all the places we visited. We also talked about so many things including the Santiago music scene, political history, constitutional change and much more. The bike ride was great too ;-) Highly recommended.

Perfect way to see the different parks in Santiago. I did not have the skill needed for this tour, but Balthazar was super accommodation and found a way for me to get down. Note that you will be biking up hill for a good chunk of this tour but the views are worth it.

I had a great time with Patricio on the San Cristobal Hill MTB tour. We went up the cable car with the bikes to start and then quickly got underway down the hill on various tracks intespersed with some uphill sections. The back drop of the city and the mountains was beautiful. The ride was challenging in parts as I'm not a regular MTB rider nor particularly fit but we stopped for breaks when needed and I still thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to do it again next time I am in Santiago.
