About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 453kierana0 contributionsGreat tourOur tour guide Edison was great! Saw some amazing sights along the way, tour bus was very clean and on time. Would do again.Written December 7, 2024
- Adam S0 contributionsExcellent Driver ServiceExcellent driver service. Juan Carlos picked me up and kept in touch with me on WhatsApp providing me real time arrival information and easy to follow instructions. Even better, he also picked me up at my hotel for the return trip to the airport and went so far as to help guide me through initial check in while the airport was very busy. He could not have been more helpful. Definitely recommend this service to and from the airport for added piece of mind.Written December 2, 2024
- J7261YAdeborahs0 contributionsFun Dayit was a large larger group than expected, 31 people, I consider small group being 10 or less. The guide was excellent and kept everyone gathered, but was such a large group at at times it was difficult to hear him well. not so sure. The wine is at the beginning, so 9 am, a tourist trap stop, no snacks. The walking tour part was a lot of fun and interesting. If anyone has difficulty walking, not a good choice as it is very hilly. but all downhill on uneven walkways.Written November 30, 2024

- I3880DYjuliah0 contributionsAmazing Day Trip from Santiago to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar!I recently took a day tour from Santiago to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The tour was well-organized to ensure a smooth and enjoyable day. The van we traveled in was very comfortable, making the journey relaxing and pleasant. Our guide and driver were absolutely wonderful—both so friendly, helpful, and professional. The guide shared tons of fascinating information about the history, culture, and unique aspects of each stop, adding so much depth to the experience. Each stop allowed plenty of time to explore and soak in the beauty and charm of both Valparaíso’s colorful streets and Viña del Mar’s stunning coastal scenery. I never felt rushed, which made the day feel perfectly balanced. One of the highlights for me was the lunch stop. The restaurant the tour selected served the best fish I’ve ever had! It was fresh, perfectly cooked, and a real treat—such a memorable part of the trip. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Santiago. It’s a fantastic way to see two beautiful cities in a single day. You won’t regret it!Written November 29, 2024
- 789ScottE0 contributionsNot a wine tourOur tour guide Jhodad was very good and the driver Dave was really amazing. We loved the time in Valparaiso, a very cool and interesting place, but found the wine tasting part of the tour a total waste of time. There was nothing good about that portion of the tour experience, which was no fault of the tour operators. In some of the most outstanding white wine country in the world , it was a total disappointment. A better idea would have been to completely skip the first stop and to go to an actual vineyard for a proper wine tasting on the way back. It would have helped to break up the drive and also to give people a chance to discover and experience the amazing white wine region of Chile that we were driving through.Written November 27, 2024
- natalie c0 contributionsWe had a lovely trip with an amazing guide until lunch. We had a lovely trip with an excellent guide until lunch where we decided to follow the recommendation of Cingui restaurant in Renaca. The food was way below par compared to all the other places we have been and VERY expensive for what we got. The potatoes and chips had clearly been pre cooked then frozen, they were terrible. A 'traditional ' salad, literally consisted of half a chopped raw onion and a sliced half a tomato with 3, yes 3 tiny pieces of cilantro. The tiger milk dressing was delicious to their credit. a very, very small glass of wine was over $10.00(AUD) . A piece of tuna with chips (nothing else, no side salad), half portion of potato wedges with cheese sauce and 4 prawns and half a tomato and half an onion with 2 small glasses of wine cost a whopping $74 (AUD)! As we had already spent a few days in Santiago we knew what expect from the amazing Chilean restaurants, this was not one of them. Shame because otherwise it was a great trip.Written November 27, 2024

Jhodad was an exceptional guide - professional, engaging, knowledgeable with a sense of humour. Pick up was on time and Jhodad outlined what our tour would entail and how they fay would unfold. We loved Valparaiso, Vina Del Mar and Reñaca Beach and the lunch recommendation was perfect. Would highly recommend this tour and Jhodad as a tour guideWritten November 26, 2024
- Alexis627710 contributionsGreat trip!Juan was a very attentive guide, spoke loudly and clear. Funny character which is always a plus. - 339paulz0 contributionsNot to be TrustedThe people who run this tour are unfriendly and un-cooperative. We were being picked up on the tour from the cruise ship terminal, but they said they would drop us off at a hotel in town. I asked them what it would cost for a cab from the hotel to the ship and how long it would take to get back ...their nasty response was "I don't care about (giving you) the information you request" ...where do you want to be dropped off.!! Hardly someone who cares about their customers. And to make matters worse, we cancelled the tour one day after we made the booking, and 23 days before we scheduled to be on it, and they refused to give us our money back...despit the policy which clearly states "cancellations make within ONE DAY of the activity cannot be refunded. Stay away from this place.Written November 25, 2024

We reserved this tour weeks in advance since we only had one day in Santiago before heading to Patagonia. After asking if we could add an airport pickup to the tour, we were told yes for the price of $65 USD to be paid in cash to the driver. After we arrived at SCL airport, the driver let us know he was running a few minutes late. After multiple updates of “just another 15 mins”, he arrived almost 2 hours late. This was quite disappointing to us as we had been awake for 24 hours and repeatedly offered to cancel the tour and hop in a taxi instead. Once he arrived, Giovanni rushed us through the tour saying Plaza de Armas had too much traffic and we would come back later so then we headed to Santa Lucia hill where it looked like some protesters might assemble so without much explanation other than he was frustrated with the traffic, we went out to Bicentennial park near our hotel and basically missed the majority of sites listed on the itinerary. Although our guide was quite polite, he didn’t speak English that well and he didn’t point out any buildings during the “tour”. Save yourself future frustration and book with a different and more reliable tour provider.

We did not have a lot of time in Santiago just a couple of days at the end of a cruise, so this tour was great because it gave us an overview of the city. We were picked up at our hotel. Our driver was very polite, friendly & very knowledgeable about the people & places he took us. His commentary throughout the tour showed his knowledge and love of the city. We were dropped back to our hotel at the end. A good way to see the highlights of a city

This was a wonderful way to gain insight into Chile and Santiago for a first time visit. We covered history, culture, politics and economics. The travelling around the city offers many interesting sites and the view from the top of SAN Cristobal is stunning.

Spent 24 hours in Santiago on way home from a cruise during which we booked a half day tour of the city with MTO using Viatour.
The day before arrival in Santiago our guide rang us while we were on the ship to arrange meeting details etc. All ok so far.
On arrival in Santiago we received a WhatsApp from MTO approximately 90” before the tour was due to start cancelling it saying the guide was ill and sending us two ridiculous photos of somebody who was supposedly ill??? We were offered a tour the following day but were only there 24hrs so that wasn’t possible. MTO cancelled our tour and refunded our money.
Then, about 30” later the same guide as we had spoken to the day before telephoned to say he would meet us at 1630!!!!
I told him we were confused and thought the tour was cancelled so he said he would check and get back to us. We never heard from him again but for sure the person we spoke to certainly wasn’t ill !!!!
When I challenged this with MTO they got very abrasive and insisted the tour was cancelled but for sure it wasn’t because the guide was ill.
Avoid this company, use somebody else. They clearly lied to us about the reason for cancelling the trip.

Alex was a great guide, very knowledgeable, and kind with it, he bought us bottles of water, and even a local drink made with peaches and wheat to try. The walk up Santa Lucia hill is a hike if you are getting on a bit (around 200 steps up) but the views are really good from the top. He took us there first, then up St Christobel, which is a lot higher, but as he knew the guards at each checkpoint, managed to drive us virtually to the top.
The centre of Santiago has much of the beautiful buildings spoiled by graffiti and closed to the public to protect them from further damage. This includes the Cathedral and you can't get close to the Parliament buildings for obvious reasons. But it didn't spoil our delight in this tour, it was worth it just for the two hills alone. And Alex of course!

Our guide Giovanni arrived right on time and explained all of the important historical and cultural sites in the center of the city on the walking portion of the tour. Then he drove my husband and I past some beautiful parks and we took the funicular up to the top of Cerro San Cristobal for a great view of the city. Most enjoyable was talking with him about modern-day life and customs. He even told us about how his views differ from those of his parents and grandparents. This kind of personal interaction is priceless.

Luis was very nice and had a very good and clean vehicle. That was all that was good about the tour. It was supposed to be 4 hours with an English speaking guide and include visits and tickets to Cerro San Cristobal, Cerro Santa Lucia, Parque Metropolitano de Santiago - Parquement and a traditional Craft Shop. Our guide spoke very broken English and the only place we visited was the craft shop where we were ripped off. We purchased a fame for $234 and the next day saw the exact same frame in an artisan shop for $177. I send an email immediately to the tour operator and have yet to hear anything back.

Extremely informative, enjoyable and fun sightseeing tour with Christian! He gave us interesting histories of recent events in the city, as well as older historical facts about Santiago. We got to visit the church in the main square, the capitol building, and both hills. The ride up Cerro San Cristobal is especially beautiful!

All right but when we travel to viña del mar, we went to a restaurant that sell peruvian and not chilean food, high price and bad meal and service. Not so good people with us and the driver of our bus. That peruvian restaurant was a tourist trap

Hello we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Santiago airport hotel. Is there an additional cost to pick us up and drop us off there? Also my husband is in a foldable scooter. He can take some steps on his own. Can this be accommodated on this tour. We are coming in on March 4 and leave for our cruise on the 5th so would want to do the 3:00 tour on March 4. Thank you.

I have no idea if they would charge extra for an airport pick up; the vehicle we had would accommodate the scooter , this would need to be confirmed
