- B5875NXpaulinap00Good experienceVisiting Santiago de Chile was a great experience , we went there on September 16 -24-23, In these days Chile commemorate their independence and it takes three days Or sometimes takes one week. there are a lot of activities around the city like the chilean day at the Parque O'Higgins, where you enjoy Chilean rodeo, groups dancing la cueca the official dance from Chile, I also enjoyed drinks like chicha, pisco sour is very good, food like empanadas, barbecue that is excellent and good flavor ect.. Also, the cathedral, the government building are closed but you can enjoy the beautiful architecture, on September 19, there is Army parade, at the Palace of La Moneda there is a presentation of the traditional dance la cueca Tips: If you visit Chile on these Independent dates be aware that all malls, restaurants and stores are close. The PDI Immigration paper keep it like your ID because you have to show it at the hotel. Always carry an extra sweater because sometimes gets very cloudy and cold due to the Andes mountain. specially after 3pm. The best neighborhood to stay is Vitacura. I recommend Hilton Hotel its near de mall, train station, the observatory building and restaurants.
- Federicacarla00Wine tasting in good companyAmazing wine tasting. Good guide and very professional team. I preferred the first visite to the farm where we had a very nice appetizer
- AdmiralAJ00Small Tour with Mostly drive or walk by city highlightsNice small tour. Supposed to begin at 8am, but night prior was told pickup would be at 9am, but received another text about a delay so it didn’t start until 9:40am, which through our schedule for the rest of the day off. Your guide was nice and knowledgeable but not fluent in English. Just a drive and highlights of important areas. It wasn’t worth the $75 they charged for what was offered. You are better off booking the hop-on-hop-off bus with Turistik and buying a city guide.
- Alison P00Fabulous views, poor guide managementThis has been hard to review. The whole trip was marred, for us, by the guide’s either inexperience or lack of training. We were picked up on time and in total were a group of 13. Whilst the guide was very friendly and had a bubbly personality, she did not deliver on meeting our expectations. We were surprised first of all at how little information she gave us apart from the main features. Next we didn’t realise she was going to be providing commentary in both Spanish and English. This took away any spontaneity and interaction with the guide. It also meant by the time she told us about a feature it was past. She did not provide any incidental information either, that’s such a shame as that is what you want, history, local culture etc. We stopped at a winery. Why? She gave no explanation and left us to wander around. No wine tasting. No information from anyone at the vineyard. She was there to purchase wine for us to have later in the day. Back on the coach and up the spectacular windy road with so many hairpin bends. No chat about how the road was formed etc. The Inca Lake is breathtaking in its beauty. Fantastic. By this time it’s after midday and we were hungry. I asked where we could grab lunch, and she strongly dissuaded us from using the hotel restaurant because it was very expensive. We did anyway and it was excellent view and quick service. Price was reasonable for the location and quality. Back on the coach. Stopped at a place for an empanada and the wine tasting. The place was OK but nothing special. Wine was lovely. Empanada ok. Rest of the journey in silence until we reached our hotel. I think her intentions were there, it was just hard in two languages and you lose half the audience each time.
- todddkramer00Super fun tourThis tour was amazing! Nacho, our tour guide was fantastic and made the experience a ton of fun. The wineries we visited were great and provided some delicious tastings. Again, Nacho really made the tour for us, he was so knowledgable, friendly and knew how to break the ice so everyone could socialize and have a great time.
- alexanderdJ7065GP00Not worth the priceOur guide Miguel was amazing! He deserves a raise. However - this tour was a waste of money. You pay almost $100 US to have maybe 1 bottle of wine between the 3 vineyards. They then take you to a very expensive Vinyard for lunch with mediocre food not worth the price. If you are spending well-earned time and money, spend it on a more rewarding tour, like the Valparaiso day tour from Santiago.
- 85kurstync00Would highly recommend…We really enjoyed this tour! The company is organized and everything ran on schedule. We got to see 3 different types of wineries from a quaint boutique winery to a beautiful mid sized winery to a large estate wine property. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The wine selections were fantastic and the place we stopped at for lunch was delicious! Maipo Valley is gorgeous!
- Bcrawford2400Great experienceGreat wine, good people, nice views, and fun day to from Santiago. We had expert guides, and some of the best wine I've ever tasted. Highly recommend.
- snowduro00Great wine tour close to SantiagoGreat wine tour close to Santiago that shows many aspects of wine making, from the tiny boutique winery La Quirinca to the large scale estate Undurraga Wines. Big thanks to our wonderful, entertaining guide Marilu, who made the tour informative and fun!
- Travel99Go00We had a blastI thoroughly enjoyed this whole day wine tour. 4 stops. Never boring. Wine and lunch really good. It was beyond my expectation. Maria-Luisa you were a blast. So funny, keep us entertained. Love the Chilean music you shared. Benjamin is an awesome driver. Thanks to keeping us safe, anyone thinking of joining this tour, be sure to get this dynamic duo. 😃
- Sightsee3798468425200Great experience! The tour was a great experience within the Maipo Isle region. From experiencing a small family run organic winery using traditional winemaking methods and to subsequently larger operations (with long family history in winemaking) the guides and operators did an amazing tour. In a full day there was lots of historical and geographical information. Of course, it was all about wine and tasting (which was very good), the added presentation at each winery of their methods and philosophy of wine making were an added bonus. Lots of purple smiles in the group at the end of the trip!
- Vicky040800Fantastic Chilean wine tasting tourIt’s an unusually cold day in Santiago in the summer but I’m so glad I signed up to this tour which really brightened the day - Nacho was fantastic and we get to visit 4 distinct vineyards with lots of tasting and delicious food. It’s a small cosy tour that everyone gets to mingle and socialise and as a solo traveler i thoroughly enjoyed it!
- 486annicaj00Great trip!A great trip to some interesting and beautiful vineyards, great wines were had and our guide Miguel was absolutely fantastic! So knowledgeable and nice in every way!
- thomasdalvarez00Incredible experience, hosts, scenery, and friendsFrom pick up to drop off, this tour was phenomenal. A great chance to see different Maipo Valley wine production from all stages (small family vineyard to large production). Our guide, Catalina (Cata) was so informative, helpful, and kind. We arrival to Santiago was delayed and although we only had about 2 hours of sleep before pickup, we are thankful we didn't skip this tour!
- Carlee S00Highly recommend, delicious winesThis was overall a great experience! My partner and I went on this tour and it included 6 others in our direct group, and about 10 others in another group. I have a few recommendations for those booking this tour: (1) wear closed toe, comfortable sneakers as you will be walking the grounds of wineries and there may be some mud, (2) the tour companies communicate via WhatsApp and it works really well in case you want to download this app before arriving in Santiago (3) eat breakfast and hydrate before the tour, lunch was around 1 for us. It is a long day and there are excellent wines to indulge in on this tour. We booked our tour about a month in advance and received a confirmation pretty quickly afterward. Our scheduled tour was on a Sunday and received a WhatsApp message for hotel pick up time about 12 hours before the start of tour, Saturday at around 8 PM local time in Santiago. This practice seems normal for the tours here, so do not fret if you haven't received a pick up notification until the night before your tour. Our pick up was right on time. Emanuel was our guide and he made the day very enjoyable. We first went to a lookout point in Maipo. It was a nice start to our trip, really pretty views of the valley. Then, went to the first winery, La Quirinca which is on a farm. Be prepared for the farm smell here. It was pretty cool to see the farm animals ( chickens, geese, turkeys, alpacas, horses, and adorable dog) and you get the chance to feed a few. The wine tasting featured two of their wines, Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as some samples of pisco. It was a really fun, unique experience here. Then, we went to Santa Ema, my favorite winery of the tour, tasted 4 wines and walked the grounds. The buildings and landscapes were very pretty and modern, and the wine was very good. Next, we went to lunch at Vina TerraMater restaurant at their winery and featured their wine to pair with food. Our favorite was the Altum Carmenere. The food overall was pretty good. Lastly, we went to Underraga where we walked their large beautiful grounds with a guided tour. The tasting was at the end and featured 4 wines. My favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc. This tour was such a fun way to experience the Chilean countryside, and drink delicious wines.

The guide was great. No complaints there.
However the tour was NOT as described by trip advisor (e.g., we did not ride an ascension).
If you want to see the street art in ValparaÃso this is NOT the tour for you. We spent only one hour walking around a few streets in ValparaÃso. Whereas we spent 20 minutes at a rest stop, 30 minutes touring a fish market, 80 minutes at an overpriced lunch restaurant, and a lot of time in the van. So that is a pretty long day for 60 minutes looking at art in Valpo.
I thought going w a smaller group would afford more time to see Valpo but you might as well go w their competitor for 1/2 the price and get basically the same tour.

We enjoy taking guided tours when we visit a new city; Daniel (our witty, charming guide) and Claudio (our fantastic driver) made for an enjoyable tour. We visited Vina del Mar, a fish market (and saw sea lions!) and stopped for a nice lunch (a bit pricey but the hake (fish) was deliciously prepared); then we visited Valparaiso and walked around the sea side village to view the beautiful murals. Daniel introduced us to two street dogs who knew him well, Lady and Chocolate, they were friendly pups! We have a dog at home so it was nice to pet a loving pupper. The stop at the winery on the way back to Santiago (Veramonte) was perfect; we enjoyed a tasting of a sauvignon blanc and a carmenere, and the amount of time was perfect. Daniel and Claudio picked us up at our hotel, and dropped us off (we were staying in Providencia). Great tour! Great value too.

I wish I could leave more than 5 stars! We had limited time in Santiago / Chile, and wanted to see as much as we could. This tour was perfect to get out of the city and see a great amount of the surrounding area, and of course ValparaÃso and Viña del Mar. We we picked up at our hotel promptly, and had one other couple with us on the tour, which was nice in that we weren’t a huge group. Our guide, Michelle, was incredible! She is such a smart young woman with a wealth of knowledge about the country. She speaks perfect English (her mom is Chilean and her dad is American) and she was probably one of the best guides we’ve had in our 3 weeks down in South America. We stopped first for some chicha & snacks on the way out of the city, then headed straight for ValparaÃso. She gave us an excellent walking tour of the coastal city and pointed out some gorgeous street art and unique architecture. Bring your wallet on the walking tour because there are some
opportunities to purchase souvenirs if you want (you can leave anything you don’t want to carry on the walk, on the van). After the walking tour we took a funicular to the base of the city where we were picked up by our driver again. We then went to the local fish market, and saw a beautiful beach and some sea lions. From there we went to Viña Del Mar, where we had a super delicious lunch (not included but decent price for the quality of the food & restaurant location). After lunch we went to see one of the only Rapanui statues not on Easter Island - super cool! From there, and we made our way back to Santiago, but stopped at an amazing organic winery in the Casablanca valley, for a small tasting. This tour is an absolute must-do while in Santiago! Wonderful value, great guide (thank you Michelle!) and you see sooo much!!

Tour was short, but showed, and may I say opened my eyes on cultural gem. The tour was on time with excellent guide, explaining historical meanings of some buildings, giving us tourists plenty to reflect upon. Beautiful and colourful city.

We are so glad we did this trip as we were able to see many different places and learn a great deal about the places, Valparaiso and Chile in general from our excellent guide Michelle. It was a long day but so informative and interesting to see Viña del Mar and Valparaiso from different places and seeing parts of Santiago we hadn’t seen when dropping people off. We were not a large group which was helpful as we all got to know each other. We particularly enjoyed the visit to the amazing fish market and the wonderful walk showing street art in Valparaiso. The stop at the vinery was a pleasant end to the tour.

Francisca led a fantastic itinerary from Santiago to Vina del Mar, Valparaiso, and Veramonte winery in Casablanca. Her English is perfect (actually her first language as a child) and knowledge unsurpassed. Also, coordination with Hector, our outstanding driver resulted in smooth transiting of the many stops. We especially enjoyed walking through Valparaiso's hilly streets and its art. Lunch with a view is also a highlight of this tour. Highly recommend!

This is a great introduction to Chile with the very informative guide Francisco. He gave us a great summary of facts about Chile, it’s history and statistics as we took the drive to the coast. He was very well informed and answered all our questions with lots of facts and figures. With just 6 in our group, we were able to go to see many sights at Viña del Mar and ValparaÃso. He led us on a long walk around the historic area pointing out various buildings as he explained their significance. There was no way we could have seen these historic places and wall murals on our own. This area is understandably preserved by UNESCO. The stop at a winery on the way home let us taste lovely Chilean wines. This is a long day but very worthwhile & the van was comfy. Be sure your camera or mobile is charged to get lots of photos.

The bus arrived promptly at the designated time and we were warmly greeted by driver George and our tour guide Daniel. The tour was full of information about the history and current situation of chili. We learned a lot about the city of Santiago and the formation of the Andes mountains and of the valleys along the way on our drive to Valparaiso. Would highly recommend this tour for first time visitors to the area. It may be worthwhile for the tour company to consider putting a small public address system in each of the vans. The only other comment would be finding a restaurant that gave a little bit more flexibility in the ordering of the meals.
Overall it was a day well spent with two great guides

We enjoyed our tour overall, however I found the pace a little slow for myself. Also the tour did not follow the description on Trip Advisor so we didn't stop, or even see, some of the things listed (ex. Monumento a Los Heros, Sotomayor Square). I also was under the impression that we would go on a few Funiculars but we only went on one. The lunch stop had a nice view but limited options if you don't like seafood or pasta. It was also a little expensive. It would have been nice to be dropped off in an area where we could pick our own lunch instead of being funneled into that resteraunt. Overall I would still recommend this tour if you are traveling from Santiago. Having someone who knows the area, the history and the spots to go is totally worth it in a city that confusing. The vineyard was beautiful and the wine was great.

Daniel and Jimmy did a great job showing our group the beauty and history of this region while keeping everyone engaged with their humor. The walk through Valparaiso provided a great opportunity to experience the city and there was not shortage of photo opportunities. The information was both helpful and interesting, lunch was delicious with a great view, and the wine was a great way to cap off the day!

Our guide was accommodating and picked up 2 guests from the airport on the day of our tour. Shouldn’t be an issue if you give the tour guide/operator enough time to plan for it. The pick up may also depend on how much luggage you have.

Can we be met at San Antonio Port on Dec 1, 2022 (AIDA Sol)
Thanks
We are arriving in Santiago Airport on 28 January at 9 AM, so a 10AM pick-up would be best. We would like to be dropped off at the cruise pier at 4PM (San Antonio). Can you accommodate 2 persons for this tour with these times?
