About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Kimberley P0 contributionsReally fun river rafting! We did a 1/2 day river rafting trip with KoKayak that was outstanding. We had to change plans fast due to weather and this was really good. We have rafted at least 6-7 times all over the US and this was the best trip we have ever had hands down. Full wetsuits are provided and helmets. Our boat guide was Catalina and she was awesome. Funny, excellent at explaining (2 first time rafters in boat) and had excellent English. The river was running high due to recent rains and was fast with good class 3 rapids. Very high waves and surprisingly warm water. We were invited to jump in in several places too. Very exciting! Afterwards we had tea (or beer) and a snack of home made pizza.Written March 13, 2025
- oruromanta0 contributionsa beautiful part of ChileIt was good to travel to Chiloe and we had a nice small group. From the ferry we say sealions, dolphins and pelicans among others. The trip on the boat to see the penguins and seabirds was lovely in the sun as was lunch on the beach (we were not told until afterwards on observing that the price we paid was higher than that shown on the menu that we had an "inclusive" and desert had been part of that so we went back and ate desert). It was the end of the penguin season but we saw about a dozen. The stop times in other places were very short.Written March 2, 2025

- Astabas0 contributionsVery DisappointedWe were very dissatisfied with our trip. We drove from Puerto Varas to Puerto Mott to the location given. Our ticket clearly says we were to meet in puerto Mott, but there was no tourist agency at the address. We had a reservation for our trip that said the meeting place was Puerto Mott. When we arrived at the address, it was an abandoned building. We Whatsapped them, and they told us the meeting place was Puerto Varas, so we had to drive all the way back and were late. The reservation also said the guide (Nelly) would speak English and Spanish, but she actually was texting on her phone while the boat guide spoke in Spanish, and she translated maybe 1/4 of what the guide said. I know this because my companion speaks fluent Spanish. The guide only translated technical information and did not translate the boat guide’s words into English or give an approximate translation of her own Spanish, which is not the trip I paid for. The sites were okay but very disappointing given the description.Written February 26, 2025
- Paradise388929453700 contributionsGreat day in SantiagoOur tour was fantastic, covering many important parts of the city. Our guide Jose was very knowledgeable and funny. He was like a friend showing us beautiful Santiago.Written February 23, 2025
- gail p0 contributionsFun and informativeCarol, our tour guide, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She explained clearly and in an interesting manner the history of the areas we visited. There were lots of little details, Carol was quick to point out. When we took breaks, she would explain about traditional and or local foods of the area and of Chile. Adrien, our driver, did his best to communicate with us with his limited english, which was a nice added touch. His driving skills were good. Thanks to both of them, they found our binoculars and returned them to us the next day.Written February 20, 2025
- dhchoo0 contributionsGreat Tour guide Cristopher made our day!Our tour guide Cristopher was excellent. He is very knowledgeable and fun. He took us around Santiago showing us highlights we wouldn't have noticed if we were on our own. He was a good photographer too. He took a lot of wonderful photos and videos for us. We went up to San Cristobal Hill on the cable car and came down with the Funicular. He took us to Chilean and Pre-Columbian Art Museum, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santiago Stock Exchange, etc. We had sampled Mote con huesillo, which is a traditional Chilean summer-time drink, a non-alcoholic beverage consisting of a sweet clear nectar-like liquid made with dried peaches (huesillo) cooked in sugar and cinammon and mixed with fresh cooked husked whea (mote). We also had a delicious lunch at Mercado Central. You can basically customize your tour to suit you. We enjoyed the trip very much. My only concern was that there was some kind of misunderstanding between Cristopher and the tour provider. This tour was listed as an approx. 7 hours tour. However, according to Cristopher, he was only told to guide a 4 hours tour. Cristopher was kind enough to spend a bit more of his time with us. Therefore, the tour provider Ruta Chile, please review your description. If this is not a 7 hour tour, do not list it as a 7 hour tour.Written February 19, 2025
- TinyThots0 contributionsEnjoyable Day To Valparaiso!Pleasant day trip to Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar. Great guide and driver who kept everything interesting and on time. Couldn’t have asked for a better crew. Informative and helpful throughout our trip!Written February 17, 2025
- joneK8447AI0 contributionsSo glad we did it!!!The tour was fantastic Raphael ( guide) was great. gave commentary in Spanish, Portuguese and English and was very patient with us slowpokes. Every stop was interesting but the wine tasting at 8 am was a Lille strange. The walking tour in Valparaiso was incredible. We felt safe at all the stops. We had lunch at a beautiful spot right on the ocean in Vina Del Mar. Back to Santiago by 5:30 . Filipe (driver) must be the most patient person I ever met. In the whole 11 hours I don’t think he used the horn once!! Overall. Great Tour!!Written February 16, 2025
- TamarB930 contributionsBus didn't showWe booked a tour for a full day saltflats. The confirmation said we had to be at a hotel between 08.00 and 08.30. We were there, but the bus didn't show up. To be fair, it turned out that someone send me a WhatsApp around 7.15, asking in which hotel we stayed. Due to poor internet connection, we received that message an hour later. But we confirmed the location via email two days before. Turned out, the driver was there at 07.50, asked if we stayed at that hotel, and left. We stayed at an Airbnb, at the end of the oasis, and arrived at 07.55. We just missed each other. We tried to call and text several phone numbers, but noone answered. I got the refund quite quickly, which is nice, but this whole thing could have been avoided, if the driver would have been there at the moment we had agreed on. This was our last day at San Pedro, and we might never be here again. Again, the refund is nice, but we are upset that we lost the chance to see the saltflats.Written February 14, 2025
- Sibylla O0 contributionsA perfect tourWe enjoyed very much the tour through the fjords to the glaciers on the way to we saw a great waterfall and some sea wildlife my suggestion have warm clothes on even though the sun was shining it was cold on the deck take the tour to the glaciers as long as we can enjoy it because you can see how fast it melted during the last decades also take the walk to the panoramic shortcut fyi the next glacier after you are back on the boat is coming up very fast stay out on the deck if you want some pics the lunch was excellent bc we went to a huge ranch and enjoyed a very tasty lunch a perfect ending to a great day we can highly recommend this tourWritten February 5, 2025
- 282lesleyd0 contributionsSantiago at its best!Franco was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about his home town Santiago! We started the day with a funicular ride to the top of Santiago then ventured further around Santiago including the fish market where we had a well earned and amazing seafood lunch. If you only have one day in Santiago this tour will provide a fantastic overview of the city, its history and famous sites. Highly recommended and don’t forget to ask for Franco!Written January 30, 2025
- ALW660 contributionsA good day out and a great lunchOur guide for the day, Nelly, was great. Very friendly and helpful and gave us all the information needed, and was very entertaining. 5/5 for her. The minibus was clean and well maintained. The driver was also a very nice guy and funny. The waterfalls were nice to see. Lunch was excellent and very enjoyable and a good price. The group was friendly and helpful especially the Brazilian couple who helped me a lot as a non Spanish speaker. And the trip up the volcano was also interesting although cold near the top- warm jacket and a hat advisable. I would have added another hour or so to the trip- the ski lift up the volcano (29000 CLP) was possibly the slowest in the world and the distance between points is quite a long way- this led to things being a little rushed and as a result, one guest was sick on the bus (not her fault) because the road up the volcano is very winding and immediately after lunch, also on the return journey the driver was going pretty fast and made some potentially dangerous overtaking manoeuvres- I’m a professional driver myself so I note these things. Safety and comfort should always be paramount so adding more time into the tour would have resolved thisWritten January 18, 2025
- donnakT7041MP0 contributionsVery AccommodatingThis tour is normally scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM. Because of the Christmas holiday and our arrival time in Santiago, the company agreed to start our tour at 1:30 PM. Our arrival was delayed by more than two hours because of airport operational issues. Franco was extremely accommodating and ensured that we received the full tour. He was enthusiastic about sharing Santiago with us and gave us lots of information and recommendations to make the most of our time in the city. We greatly appreciated his flexibility and professionalismWritten January 8, 2025
- 584reins0 contributionsWasted vacation dayPretty much a wasted vacation day. The bus that was supposed to pick me up at the hotel simply didn’t show up and the operator was completely unreachable. Phone numbers on the ticket and confirmation weren’t answered or didn’t even exist. By the time I could look into alternatives for the day, finding something comparable at such short notice wasn’t possible. Avoid and definitely don’t pay upfront.Written January 6, 2025

Hi, does this tour actually include a visit to El Morado Glacier? Many thanks.
Written April 14, 2018
I can't imagine any way it could, El Morado Glacier would be a 3500ft climb from the end of the trail, the other approach just to El Morado Glacier is a 16 mile total hike
