- Maca U0 contributionsgreat day trip hiking 21 kms Parque Vicente Pérez RosalesIt was a great day trip, Bill is a great guide and make sure every detail was sorted out perfectly. The hike is medium -high difficulty (just going up the hill), but it's completely worth it! You will have amazing views to lake, volcanoes and great sights all along the day. Bill provided us with a great snack and then lunch at the beach looking at Lago de Todos los Santos. It was absolutely gorgeous, I would definetely take another tour with Bill if I am again in the area. I highly recommend it!Written July 30, 2021
- 65henriettet0 contributionsGreat hiking around Puerto VarasIf you want a break from the other tourist and see the wonderfull nature surrounding Puerto Varas then go hiking with Bill, Puerto Varas Gringo Hiking Tours. I did two hikes, and loved it.Written February 11, 2020
- Lola13250 contributionsVery pleasant ride!We truly enjoyed our bike ride with Bill. His bikes were in good condition and supplied water for the ride. This excursion allows you to take in the scenery and brought us to areas we would have never seen on our own. Very beautiful path. Bill is very knowledgeable and supplied us with interesting information. He also stopped to allow us to try a local drink. Highly recommend!!Written February 11, 2020
- Peter B0 contributionsBeautiful and unique hikeAlthough it was a rainy day when we went, the hike was really fun! The gentle trail meandered through woods before coming to a roaring impressive waterfall, with a wooden deck overlooking it. From there it was a short way to the massive '1000-year-old' alerce tree, worth the trip in itself. Bill Reade was an affable, well-informed guide. We recommend the hike.Written January 29, 2020
- Curious541980 contributionsHiking in the ParkIt was great to have Bill Reade as a guide for transporting us to the park and hiking around the area. He is an experienced hiker, fluent in English and Spanish, and enthusiastic about sharing the beauty of the trails.Written January 29, 2020

My husband and I hiked 15km in the park with Bill this past December. It was a beautiful loop hike with great views of the lake and volcano. We even had a quick look at the flashy Magellanic Woodpecker during the hike. Bill is a great guide and I highly recommend this outing!

A great hike. Scenic and informative. Bill is a great guide. Knowledgeable about the history, flora, fauna and birds. He was very flexible and accommodating. My wife and I would highly recommend this as a day trip when in Peurto Varas.

Had a great day out with Bill. The hike was such a wonderful way to enjoy the landscape - very tranquil with just a few other hikers on the trail. My favorite part was the lake swim - quite chilly getting in, but so refreshing!
Best healthy snack ever to break our hike - vegan, plant-based muffins with local blueberries and nuts. Stopped for a frosty beverage on the way back to Puerto Varas. Bill really goes the extra mile to ensure the hike is fun; he keeps the groups small and you can tell he enjoys what he does. Highly recommended!

Thanks Beth for your in-depth review and positive feedback. We had an excellent day hiking and swimming in the national park. I hope you return to Patagonia soon and go on another hike with Puerto Varas Gringo Hiking Tours.
