Very late in writing this, but my boyfriend and I went on a 5-day excursion with Colin into Park Nacional Pumalin. It was literally an incredible trip, Colin was enthusiastic, likable, and knew the park like the back of his hand and really made the trip. We had such an unforgettable time - from hiking to Lakes, swimming in waterfalls, to an amazing excursion to a honey farm, and fishing. Would highly recommend Alsur for their professionalism and expertise.

Did this as a side trip with Seabourn. Roughly 8 kilometer trip down class three rapids with enthusiastic ,professional ,fun guides. Views of multiple volcanos and water that was clean And refreshing. All wetsuits and needed equipment was provided in a fast and easy process. Much better than hanging out in the port.

The team were so easy to communicate with and answered all our questions months in advance of our booking. We didn't actually get to complete the booking because our cruise ship missed the port at Puerto Montt, but the team were so kind about it and they were great to communicate with throughout the whole process. If you're looking for kind and above and beyond customer service these people are great. Thank you!

If you are looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon when in Puerto Varas, Chile then rafting down the Petrohue River with Alsur is recommended.

It was an excellent experience. Everything was well prepared by the team of professionals in charge. We started in a minibus from Puerto Varas, and once we have arrived in Ensenada, we were given the neoprene diving suits and shoes, as well as the adjustable helmets. We received instructions in English and Spanish, and we were adequately prepared for any eventual occurrence. Once in the water, everything was adventure and adrenaline, and a lot of fun.

Amazing trip through this huge Lagoon with Colyn, my Kayak Guide..It was easy to paddle in these waters as the flow of the Lagoon runs gently into a wider waterway and then branches off into different directions where there is a lot of wildlife and breeding areas for Different species of birds ..The Kingfisher welcomed us as the guide named all the different species of plant life and birds, indigenous to this area.. The trip was really fun as Colyn was enthusiastic and very motivational...We had a double kayak so he could also help me improve my paddling.! I throughly enjoyed this wonderful experience.! In fact it was very therapeutic.!!!

This was awesome. The scenery was stunning but it was the guides who made the trip so great. They were well organized and kept us safe. They gave us an incredible day with memories that we'll never forget.

I never did any water sports, therefore I was terrified but willing to do this, mainly based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and my daughter's insistence. It's SO worth it! - Safety gear and clear instructions provided by our guide (Cristobal) made this 13-kilometer ride the experience of my life. Just do it :-) You cannot carry a camera, since your hands will be busy with the paddle, plus there is so much water splashing, BUT there is a team member who rides a kayak boat and takes pictures. Once the ride is over he will sell all the pics for a very reasonable price. You will need a pen drive or memory card so he can transfer the pics. Nunca hice deportes acuáticos, por lo tanto estaba aterrada pero con el deseo de hacer esto, animada principalmente por los comentarios que leí acá en Trip Advisor y por la insistencia de mi hija. VALE la pena! - La vestimenta de seguridad y las claras instrucciones de nuestro guía (Cristóbal) hicieron de ésta aventura de 13 kilómetros la experiencia de mi vida. Sólo hazlo! :-) No puedes llevar cámara, ya que tus manos estarán ocupadas con el remo, además del agua que salpica a montones. Sin embargo, hay una persona del equipo que va por separado en un bote kayak y va sacando fotografías las cuales, una vez terminado el paseo, vende a un precio muy módico. Debes llevar un pen drive o tarjeta de memoria para transferir las imágenes.

Well organized, safe and throughly enjoyable. Although we were the only English speaking couple out of the group of six, we felt so welcomed and part of the team. Colin, Sebastian and Christian took safety, fun and adventure very seriously. We would highly recommend Alsur!

We used Gerardo and his company Alsur Expeditions for a recent trip to Pumalin and the Puerto Varas area. Gerardo exceeded our expectations with his candor and ability to determine the right resources for our family (5 adults). Even with changing plans (air traffic control strike in Chile) and the personal vagaries of our group, he came through with the best available services in each situation. He also helped us selecting and booking a cabana, something really not in his perview. Despite an apparently regional disdain for lengthy contracts, Gerardo proved to be very trustworthy and fair in his actions.

I went with my partner, the experience was fantastic all the way. The staff was helpful right from the beginning when we started with our online consultations. Another factor that induced us is that they have a boat of support. While I was initially reluctant since I thought it might spoil some of the adventure and the noise of the engine would be heard, it was actually a huge asset. Firstly, the engine is not heard, and secondly the captain, Don Miguel, provided a wonderful opportunity to engage with the local people's way of life in the Hornopiren area. The boat also provides a safety net, which ultimately gave us more options for visiting other fjords and deciding on last minute changes according to the weather, tide and fatigue. The landscape and scenery is absolutely stunning. Colyn, our guide from Al Sur was warm, open and with an excellent disposition during the 3 days of our trip. His enthusiasm and energy were great. His friend, journalist and artist Catalina was a wonderful contribution to the trip with her knowledge of Patagonia's wildlife and botanical species. We combined some trekking within Pumalin Park to Laguna Abascal which was a good combination with the kayaking exercise. All in all, a trip to cherish.
