The guide Blas has a lot of experience. He explained each stage, was friendly and provided all the equipment required. The ascent was at a good pace and going down on the slider was a lot of fun. I wouldn't change anything to this experience. I'm taking with me great memories and photos.

There was a misunderstanding of the tour time, which they didn’t handle it very well, they have just left without me and they didn’t tried to call me at least. Also they were not flexible as well as they refused to refund the money or take the tour in the next day. They wanted me to pay again if i take it in the next day.

A totally amazing experience. The guide was extremely helpful and very accommodating with the pace and stops up the volcano. Of course incredible views all the way. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

The hike was amazing thanks to Blas. He picked a very nice day for climbing. (I had a 3 days window of opportunity). The pace was perfect and he gave me all the necessary info and gear to feel myself 100% safe all the time. Also he gave me a surprise because we slide down from the mountain which was awsome. I can only recommend to hire him as a guide or use rutas outdoor company services.

Blas was a great guide! I felt safe and had an exciting adventure. The view was great at the top and the difficulty of the hike was reasonable. Everyone should try this!

We really enjoyed our day with Mariana and trekking in the National Park. Mariana was so full of joy, information and love of nature that it made the trekking really fabulous! We saw others doing the hike without anyone guiding them and they missed out on so much of the flora and fauna both large and small that we got to experience because of our guide. I also really appreciate how professional the booking process was and how responsive Rutas Outdoors was to all our enquiries. Excellent company! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This was the best experience of our trip (and we took many tours on our 3 week vacation). The staff organizing the trip ensured we were well-prepared for the hike. Joaquin, our guide, was very knowledgeable, funny, and encouraged us throughout the hike in all the right ways. He felt like a friend by the end of the day. The hike itself was difficult, but beautiful and very rewarding. The way down was extremely fun, sliding down the mountain. I would highly recommend it!

I just sent a message on what’s app and got sorted so quickly. Super friendly staff - boots, gloves, backpack with all the snow bits in it and a little granola snack were all provided. I ended up being the only person on this particular trip with guide Blas and it was awesome! He is super knowledgable and knows the mountains so well - we had a bit of craic along the way too! Nothing like you’re own private tour😅 The summit was closed due to volcano activity being risky so I will have to come back again to get a look in the crater!

Climbing the mountain was one of the most challenging moments of my trip in South America, the views are stunning, the experience of climbing a Tahaga volcano to the mouth is overwhelming. The climb is difficult and suitable for the physically fit. The descent is in a hurry with fun surfing, scary loading, we went with the company .backpackerpucon,they were amazing, I really recommend to do this

Super amazing experience with Rutas Outdoors! The guides determined the best day to do the hike amidst crazy wind and thunder storms. There were 5 guides for a group of 10 client which made for a lot of personal guidance and information about the volcanos in the region. They were all super experienced and prioritized safety of their clients. We started hiking around 7am, summited around 1pm (lots of breaks and challenging winds), and returned to the base around 3:30pm. I will definitely be back to do Volcan Villarica with them, but next time on skis!

We had a fantastic time climbing the Villarica volcano. Grace was our guide and she was brilliant. Setting the right pace for us - not too slow/not too fast and helping us get comfortable with the tricky parts - crampons on the steep glacial ice/snow slope and the tobogganing down. It is quite an experience climbing to the top, looking into the enormous crater with a gas mask on and specially the descent sliding on your bum through the snow chutes.

It has been a wonderful experience to climb the Villarrica volcano with specialized guides and with the necessary implements in good condition. The Volcano is beautiful, it has a view of the landscape that I will always remember. And reaching the top was a dream come true. I am very grateful to the Rutas Outdoors agency for having helped me in this experience. Fully recommended.

Definitely a must do experience if you pass through Pucon. Hike is not a piece of cake but very doable if you’re reasonably fit. Even though the day was cloudy we got a great view of the volcano once we were above the clouds. The Ruta Outdoors people were great. Equipment was top notch and you get everything you need - boots, cramp-ons, ankle covers, waterproof pants and jacket, gloves and ice axe. Blas, our guide, was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. On our descent, we slid down about half way using a sort of flexible plastic dish (also supplied), which was a blast! All in all, 100% recommended and you won’t go wrong if you choose Ruta Outdoors.

This was my first ever visiting a Volcano with my husband in 2003. Incredible experience, the place is very beautiful and the hike through the volcano and the descent through the snow is super fun! Our group guide was really amazing and don’t remember his name . It was really so tuff to climb and I didn’t have any food with me and that there were some Israeli students helped me with their sandwiches, while I waited for my group .

It was a really good experience, more than I expected. There was like 4 hours of ascent, the view was amazing. As we were higher the view was even better. In term of difficulty it wasn’t as difficult as I thought. The guide and the team were worry that everybody were enjoying the experience, stopping if it was need it or going slower if someone was tired. They also provided a very complete and good equipment. When we arrive to the top they prepared to us a picnic, whith an amazing view to the volcano and to the lake. It was December 31st, so they also brought New Year cotillon. To go downhill we slidding with part of out equipment like a trineo, we have a lot of fun. I strongly recommend this experience! Was amazing.
