Stop: 3 hours - Admission included
We'll be exploring the Peranakan areas of Katong and Joo Chiat. We'll be eating at local shops and hawkers as we make our way around these colourful streets. This part of Singapore is a foodie paradise. We begin the adventure at a traditional Indian coffee shop. We'll be able to watch our chef flip our prata's before devouring the breads with Singapore's best curry sauce. Our tour takes us past the stunning shophouses and into small family run businesses. We will visit a Peranakan family run shop and see how they are keeping one of Singapore's oldest cultures alive. We'll feast on home cooked treats and learn why the dishes are so important to Singapore. A visit to a temple shows us how food and religion mix. We will eat at a Michelin recognised Laksa stall and meet the chefs of Singapore's best loved curry puff shop. The tour takes about 3 hours and includes around 10 different tastings. Our mission is to take you off the beaten path and into the real communities of Singpore.

My buddy and I went on a morning tour with Jasmine and it was great! One of the better food tours I have been on. Jasmine shared Singaporean food and culture that we would not have gotten otherwise. The tour is very solid. The only thing I would keep in mind is the tour has a

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write such a great review. Jasmine is a star of ours and loves showing everyone around. I'm glad you enjoyed our style with the smaller bites rather than a big meal. If we did the big meal you'd miss out on so much, so happy to hear this worked well for you guys. Safe travels and hope to see you again.

My wife and I had a great time with Shabnam, and learnt a great deal about the significance of Paranakan culture on the influence on our meals. It's a heroic amount of food, and I'd recommend avoiding a big breakfast beforehand. Or any breakfast beforehand. James joined us later

Hi, Many thanks for the very positive review. I've passed on your words to Shabnam and we look forward to welcoming you guys on your next visit here. I'm glad you found stop 1 "a little dubious". One of the best things a food tour should do is take you to places that you would normally not try so i'm glad we got you there and you loved it. See you next time
