    exceeded my expectations
phantastic experience. Great way to see all of Singapour. Big Bus Tours. Yellow Line, Red Line, Night Tour. All good. We had a deluxe Ticket and it was worrh it. Would do it again. I need to mention the staff. They are just great. Helpful, friendly, funny and warm. My special thanks to Mr. Winston Goh. A great guy who provided us with many Information. He is a great benefit for his company.

    Not good value
Was told buses run every 15-20minutes which was in reality 30 minutes around city, yellow line, and up to an hour for the red and blue line. Some of the drivers were rude, ask a question and get waved away. The recorded commentary was poor and had to be turned up to understand then when finished Loud music nearly blast your ears. The buses finish at 6pm, so you can get somewhere like Clarke Quay for a drink and dinner but you can't get home. We had a 2 day pass but ran out of time to take Green to Sentosa Island or the other one to rainforest and zoo. Taxis are cheap, and for the $114 it cost for 2 people, it was NOT good value and we spent much of our day waiting for buses., whose stops are few and far between. We purchased tickets from Singapore tourist information so thought it would be good information but was not. I recommend taxis as we would still have money in our pocket. MRT trains or even local buses would be a better option.

Best way to know the city
My only concern is the bus stop without a clear signal. Also the last bus service is too early. But is offering a variety of routes and one can visit all the city

    Cash only....Forget it. Cheaper alternatives.
We walked a fair distance to the staging stop, only to be told that they only take cash. This situation, on top of the fact that we have been screwed by Big Bus twice recently resulted in our decision to go elsewhere. We chose City Tours, saved a heap of money, and were completely satisfied. Why cash only? Are they hiding something from someone?

Easy way to explore the city
We went on yellow and blue routes. The city was super clean and nice. This is a nice way to feel and explore the city. Had English audio guide through the tour. Very informative. Wanna go there again.

    No value for money
When I bought the tickets online it promised entry into 44 locations only to collect it and be told I would need to pay more money!!! Counter staff was rude and treated me like I was an idiot. I would recommend the train system in Singapore at least you get what you pay for.

Great way to get your bearings in the city
We covered all of the routes and this included the tram - a great way to get your bearings and visit different areas of the city.

    Ok
This was a good way to see around Singapore, unfortunately for us we went on a very rainy day, so we didn’t do any stop offs. Lots of sights to see, the botanic gardens looked beautiful. There are 3 different lines to do but unfortunately you have to go to their main depot to catch a different line, so that means going round & round. You get some earphones to plug in which gives you some info on things to look at. My biggest negative is that there’s no signage what’s so ever for the bus stops, we walked around for over an hour trying to find it! All in all this would be a great day if it wasn’t raining!

    Worthwhile
As in most cities a HOHO tour is the best way to soak up the principle sights of Singapore in a short space of time. We pre-bought a two day pass with City Sightseeing (yellow and red routes), but were surprised/confused when the tours are taken on the Big Red Bus lines. The tours were very interesting and seemed to cover the key points of interest. The commentary was reasonably well done and having done both tours I am much more knowledgeable about Singapore than before, so the aim was achieved. However, in between the spoken commentaries there is a most irritating and intrusive piano music soundtrack which, after the first ten minutes, becomes intensely irritating. However, the trips were very worthwhile and recomnended

    Disappointing
We booked this tour in the hope of learning interesting facts about the history and culture of Singapore. I have been on excellent bus tours in various cities in the UK so was expecting something similar. Sadly it was hugely disappointing; we took both the red and yellow routes and the recording was largely annoying background music, with the occasional fact in a fuzzy voice which was difficult to hear and also didn't seem to correlate with what we were passing at the time. We stopped off in Little India and learnt more about Singapore at the Indian heritage museum for a fraction of the price of the bus ticket. To be frank, the MRT is a much cheaper and faster way to see parts of the city you'd like to. The bus tour is much too expensive for what it is in my opinion.

    Not so great
We’ve done hop on hop off in a few cities and often found them to be a good opportunity to get an overview of the city and some general commentary. This was probably the worst one we’ve had. Bus seems to pass by any interesting spots before chance to take a photo and the commentary is sadly very thin and mediocre. A short taxi ride would have given a better overview and probably cost less.

    Recent trip to Singapore
I was in Singapore for the first time a few weeks ago. Since I was only there for a few days I decided the best would be to sign up for a day tour with Hippo. At the main stop at Suntec City I happened to meet one of the agents there. His name was Winston, what a great little guy. Not only was he able to answer all of the questions we had on the routes and sights to see, but he was also knowledgable on many subjects relating to the history of Singapore & Asia. He certainly is a character who kept us entertained as we waited for the next bus to show up. The tour was excellent and hit all of the major sites. Winston provided us with great service and is a credit to his company.

Hop on, Hop off bus. Great way to see the sights
We were heading back from Europe, and I expressed a wish to have a longer stopover in Singapore as I had never been there before. My partner bought the tickets online before we left to travel, and surprised me with them as we boarded our plane in Frankfurt. I did some reading of recent reviews and got a bit of a shock as the first few, were very disparaging. So we headed to the Suntec hub to start our trip. The buses were all there and ready to go. The young staff did their job checking us in , but were not exactly smiley helpful, which I put down to tourist overload. We boarded the bus and went upstairs so we could get better view. With headphones plugged in we headed off on the Yellow route first. The female voice on the commentary was easy to listen to, and gave enough information to make the trip interesting without "detail overload". The music in between comments was easy to listen to. After the Yellow tour finished, we switched to the Red route and went on that. I enjoyed the Red route better, as there were alot more interesting things to see. The Red route went through the 3 cultural areas, which had lots of colour and old buildings instead of all the glass and concrete. Tip; Even though we did the trips at 9am, hoping it would be cooler, we had to move downstairs after two thirds of the first trip as it was just too hot. Overall, the tours were excellent in showing us a quick overview of central Singapore.

    Awful
Firstly like others wasn’t told anywhere when I booked that I was limited to just red and yellow line. Then weren’t told that the buses are from various companies, so could be city sightseeing or Big bus. The stops are part of other bus stops in the city which are numbered but doesn’t state anywhere that hop on hop off stops here. The drivers were rude and everywhere it says passengers need to be seated when in bus in motion SO don’t pull away till they are! I’ve had a knee replacement and whilst I’m steady I am wary about falling, well thanks you frightened me! Two elderly American ladies nearly went down the stairs backwards. The stops are mostly for hotels which is a shame and my photographer friend found this most frustrating as the bus rushed past scenic buildings to park in front of a hotel!

    Two days plus a cruise
One star too many! Waited over an hour for the bus that didn’t show up. Called the local number that no one answered! Took another bus tour instead. Better to pay more for s private tour if you have limited time and want to do more than shop at ION on Orchard.

We’ve used Citysightseeing around the world and never had a bad experience until Singapore. 48 hours looks good value but buses are so infrequent that you’ll spend a good chunk of that waiting at bus stops. In fact, I’m writing this at a bus stop in 33 degree heat, after more than 30 minutes’ wait.

I recently spent 24 hours in Singapore with my mum. Myself 23 and my mum 50 absolutely loved the hop on hop off bus we saw all of the city and were able to get a real jist of where things were. If you need help buying tickets or advice go straight to WINSTON he was amazingly helpful and gave us many a laugh!

This company has a special hub for cruisers in the morning when you can buy the ticket with them and they can take you to the city hubs and provide you time schedule to get back to the ship on time.

The lines offered are goods, as I have not much time we took the main lines to Marina Bay, Chinatown, Orchid and Raffles Hotel. Little India and the Glamp. the ticket include depending the day free 2hrs walking tour to little india and chinatown.

The routes takes around 40-50mins so take a look which places do you want to go down and planning if you want the walking tour.

All good and fairly standard for a hop-on, hop-off service. But the stops were not signposted so it was often difficult to know where you were at. Obviously a map was provided, but it wasn't always as accurate as needed. Also, the buses were branded as Big Bus which confused us as our ticket was branded City Sightseeing! After initial confusion, we realised they were one and the same!

What I failed to understand is why do they have a schedule on paper if they are not going to follow the same. And when confronted, they had a very straight answer, Ohh it doesn't work those ways in Singapore.

Overall the coverage is good, but what's not worth it is the interaction with their staff.

They cover almost all the tourist attractions and places. Their walking tours especially the china town one was very good and it was worth the time.

One must take advantage of their complete plan else the pass will not be fruitful. The bus was clean enough, and I will recommend sitting on the open floor that ways you will be able to have a better experience.

Overall it is a must-do, but the experience will be subjected to their staff.

The buses are clean and well maintained and the audio guide gives you just enough information to be interesting without bombarding you. The routes are good and the timetable is reliable so you can hop on and hop off with confidence. The worst thing about the buses is finding the main bus terminal to start with. (It's outside the west side of the Suntec City Mall - if you take a cab ask them to drop you there and not at the front entrance)
I had plenty of time and so I did one complete loop and then hopped off to see sights on the second time around.

I always take the hop on bus when I'm in a new destination although been to Singapore before they had this service so it was a great opportunity to see the city again. A very slick service with an aray of fares. the 24hr ticket is the one to go for gives you chance to stop off at places. It gives you a great over view of the city with great information. Do it you will not be disapointed .

We have used this service before and bought a 2 day pass this time. As we knew where we wanted to go we sorted out the routes that would take us there. The only problem we had as older people is that the bus drivers do not wait until you are seated before driving away. As I had fallen and had two bad knees and my husband had had surgery on his knee this made it difficult at times to negotiate our way on the top deck to find a seat.

We had limited time as we were only there for the day as we were on a cruise.
Everywhere we go around the world we do the red bus tour. We couldn't fit much and only got to do one route, but the things we did see were really good. When we got back on the bus later the rain was torrential, it was hilarious watching it gushing down the stairs and literally covering the downstairs of the bus.

The first half of the day, this service worked well. The second half, not so much. Buses were infrequent, which often means waiting at stops in hot and humid conditions. I feel they need more buses.
