About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Mdieri0 contributionsDO NOT BOOK OPERATOTLR IS OUT OF BUSINESS POST TYPHOONDO NOT BOOK TOURS WITH CYAN ADVENTURES! THRY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS (at least in Moalboal) but Tripadvisor/Viator still booking and charging for tours! The only "fun" I will have is getting my money back.Written May 10, 2022
- louisad25230 contributionsCanyoneering with Cyan was the highlight of our trip so far!We had the most amazing day canyoneering from start to finish with Cyan adventures! It’s worth every single penny as the equipment is much better quality than any other tours we saw throughout the day. I was very thankful for the wetsuit and protective gear especially when we saw people with scrapes from the rocks and also it does get quite cold in the water after a while so the wet suit helped. Ren our guide was fantastic a real credit to the company. Nothing was too much trouble, he helped me navigate the rocks and took loads of photos and videos of us throughout the day. It’s quiet at the minute so it ended up just being me and my husband on the tour. Ren could have easily rushed us through but he made sure we took in the scenery and didn’t rush us at any point. In fact he made sure we had breaks including a snack half way through and lunch at the end, which was very tasty! We’d 100% book with Cyan again and recommend everyone else to!Written March 13, 2020
- KateW34540 contributionsGreat experience with a class guide!!Went canyoneering with cyan. We chose this tour because my GF was apprehensive and wanted a bit more peace of mind. 100% the right decision!! Picked up early, met out guide Russel, lifted out in wetsuit and boots, and set off. Turns out we were the only 2 in his group which resulted in a fantastic personalised experience. He guided us through the falls, ensuring my GF felt safe and secure but I still got the buzz of the jumps. Great lunch afterwards and chit chat on the way home! Videos and pictures sent via email a day later!! Fantastic day out, made primarily by our fantastic guide Russel and secondly but the wetsuit offered which makes the day a bit more comfortable!! Would recommend!!Written March 2, 2020
- Mashburn0 contributionsFANTASTIC COMPANYThe canyoneering trip is an amazing day and loads of fun. The tour guides added an extra element to the day...very friendly, funny and helpful. This company in particular is very big on safety (quite rare in SE Asia!), and this is very apparent when you see some of the other groups going through the falls, with nothing more than bathing suits and life vests on. And lastly, the food at the end of the tour was very tasty and plenty of it to go round the group. Use Cyan for your tour and you won't be disappointed!Written March 1, 2020
- Aviv S0 contributionsSo much funWe had a great experience with Cyan for our canyoneering experience. We were picked up on time, were outfitted in great gear and were guided seamlessly throughout the day by Jessie, who was both professional and lots of fun. We felt safe and in good hands throughout the entire day. We ate great veggie food at a restaurant after the activity (upon our request). The pictures were sent to us shortly after the activity and look good. Cyan charges a bit more for this activity than most operators, but we felt it was worth it as we used much higher quality gear than any other group we saw. We strongly reccomend!Written February 12, 2020
- drummingboy0 contributionsUnbelievably rude! What can I say, I walked passed, saw a canyoning trip to kawasan falls that I wanted to do, spoke to a guy outside who said, go inside and speak to someone on there. I went in, asked a guy and he looked at me up and down and almost laughed and said 'no' with no explanation, no alternatives. It was almost funny how outrageous it was. I couldn't wait to leave this review!Written February 11, 2020
- andystejsky19950 contributionsGreat experience! It was really nice. I am really glad that I choose this company, because they provided us shoes and all clothes need to do make this tour. Can not image that I am whole day in a swimmsuit like during the sliding and because the tour is not on the sun so only in swimmsuit I would freeze. They take a photo and video of you. And provide a snack and lunch. So you do not need anything with you. That is really helpful because you are not worried about your things. Our guide Jessie was really nice and helpful with everything. All of then was nice. It is bit expensive than others tours but it is worth for it.Written February 9, 2020
- TomJay2180 contributionsThe best canyoning tour I've ever doneIt was a great tour! Impressive nature and challenging cliff jumps. The best canyoning tour I've ever done. Very good equipment and great care from our guide.Written February 1, 2020
- bmleja0 contributionsKawasan Canyoneering by Cyan AdventuresCyan Adventures was awesome. They let us start at sunrise to avoid the crowds. We were then only ones canyoneering that early. The guide was super nice. He took lots of pictures and recorded a GoPro Video too which he immediately shared with us via YouTube and Facebook. Also, provided a great lunch, wetsuit, shoes, helmet, and life jacket. They even let me use one of their floaties and strap for my GoPro. Included hotel pickup and drop-off. Super fun if you like adventures. Would highly recommend.Written February 1, 2020
- Dante21420 contributionsThe rolls-royce version of the tourThought we'd splurge on the highest rated and most expensive Kawasan tour, to make sure we had a good experience for our last day of the trip. Wasn't disappointed. Good tourguides, very friendly and fun. Brought mid-tour snacks for us, provided us with water, picked us up and dropped us off in a proper truck/bus, and handled the photo-taking as part of the tour. Also we were the only tourgroup with wetsuits - felt overly comfortable in the chilly water LOLWritten January 26, 2020
- 391jerom0 contributionsKawasan fallsWe would like to book this adventure tour, but we have a doubt about the height of jumps if in case we are not able to jump, is there any alternative path? ThanksWritten January 20, 2020
- miekesdr0 contributionsSo much fun.So much fun and great team to go with. We did the Canyoneering AND this one and we liked this one slightly more. First up because it's more challenging. Secondly, you are in a remote beautiful canyon away from other tourists and finally, it's something you don't do every day. The jumps were more exciting than the canyoneering ones. Don't go with just any organisation, pick them! Quality and the boys really do care that you are safe first and foremost.Written January 16, 2020
- 235minc0 contributionsDo it!!!!Super fun!!! Our guide JZ was great!! I felt very safe and comfortable with him. The wetsuits were beneficial Bc it prevented me from getting any scratches or bruises from climbing thru the rocks. Worth the extra money! Highly recommend!!!!Written January 9, 2020
- Culture437028423170 contributionsLess busy than Kawasan FallsWe did the canyoneering/rappelling trip through Cyan at Malabuyoc (spelling?) Falls. Was an unbelievable experience. The guides we had were great, they were entertaining to be with, very good at their job, and we felt very safe as we rappelled the 20 meter cliff. There was also some cliff jumps as well where the water was deep enough, and then finished the water run off with a dip in the volcanic hot springs (which felt amazing even with it being so hot). Malabuyoc was recommended to us because it is less crowded and busy than Kawasan, and it has the rappelling component as well. When we went, we were the only people on the entire course except a few local kids swimming in the ponds at the end. Ours included lunch which was amazing (BBQ chicken, noodles with veggies, rice, mango). It was honestly too much for us to finish even after all the canyoneering so you won’t leave hungry. Overall, highly recommend was one of the most fun things we did on our trip to the Philippines.Written January 6, 2020
- Arjen D0 contributionsGood organizationWent on a canyoneering tour with these guys. Everything was well-organized. Lunch was also great. Only downside: kawasan is very very busy.Written January 5, 2020

My partner and I had a lovely time on this tour! The lunch is served late, just to prepare you! Take some snacks and your own water for earlier in the day. We visited 3 quiet and beautiful waterfalls that we wouldn’t have found easily without the guide. The guide was patient and friendly. I would 100% recommend for people who want a day of adventure without too much adrenaline! (There is an option for jumping at some waterfalls but it is not required!).
We did discover later that there were some cheaper options for similar tours but we have no regrets as we got a private tour for group price and had a full and satisfying day out!

My wife and I took part in this tour on our honeymoon. We saw 3 different waterfalls and all were great with the popular Kawasan Falls probably the only slight disappointment, however the other 2 waterfalls were great. Definitely great fun and worthwhile. Tour guide was very helpful and taking photos on GoPro for us when ours malfunctioned at no extra cost was a bonus and we got some great shots of our experience. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing and beautiful waterfalls. Worth the journey.
Fairly pricey unfortunately but considering it isn't the main touristic waterfall it makes sense. 100 percent would recommend.

We chose to do the 3 waterfalls tour instead of canyoneering, and we definitely made the right choice.
From the start we were well taken care of, they even picked us up from our hotel when we were only staying 100m away.
It was a private tour just me and my husband.
We knew we wanted to see Kawasan Falls but the team helped us choose the other 2.
First we had a nice scenic drive in the back of the jeepney to our first stop: Cambias Falls. It was an easy walk to the falls past capsicum and squash farms, without our guide Ryan pointing these out I wouldn’t even have noticed!
He took us to the second set of falls (which we had to ourselves) and showed us where to go safely and jump off. Again without him we wouldn’t have known where to go!
Next we went further south to Aguinid Falls, eating yummy snacks of sticky rice and fruit on the way. The guides at Aguinid were amazing and we got to do a mini canyoneering session.
Third was Kawasan Falls which was towards the end of the day with a lot of people leaving so we got some nice clear shots of the falls.
All in all it was very enjoyable, everything was taken care of for us and we can’t thank our guide enough!
I know it seems like an expensive option but it was so worth it and we’ve paid just as much for private island hopping tours in the past, with crews who don’t care but Ryan really made sure we were having fun all day!

Thank you for your detailed report.
If you like "off the beaten path" we can highly recommend our Abseiling/Technical Canyoneering Adventure. It is NOT in Kawasan, but 45 minutes south in an even more spectacular canyon without any people!
