Scuba Birthday!
We went to Boracay for my son’s 14th birthday. Before our trip, I’ve booked for a scuba experience for us and candidly informed it’s my son’s birthday on our scheduled scuba class. Ms. Jenny, our dive instructor is superb! An absolute pro. The course includes a PADI lecture, with Ms. Jenny teaching all the basics, initially on land and on shallow waters. After which, we dived and were able to showcase what we’ve learned. Her knowledge, support and guidance underwater made us feel safe and made the experience truly enjoyable. We visited the coral gardens of Boracay, found Nemo and a whole lot of colorful fishes and corals! What touched us the most is she had a surprise underwater birthday cake for my son!! All the while, we thought the bag she was carrying underwater contains dive equipment..but lo and behold! It was a homemade birthday cake made of recycle materials and plastic fruits! What a very personal experience.. and we truly, truly appreciate it. Thank you so much, Ms. Jenny and Watercolors! We’ll be back, for sure!

Nervous Diver no more!

I've taken the Discover Scuba Diving course twice before and whilst wonderful neither could remove my nervousness or lack of confidence when diving. I was persuaded by a friend to try again with Jenny Jara at Watercolors Boracay.

Well, what a very different experience! Working with Jenny in the shallow water area, ahead of the dive, all my fears and concerns were removed as we practiced 4 mask and regulator exercises (which I don't remember having done previously).

Once Jenny was assured i felt confident, we swam off to a slightly deeper area to practice equalizing. On route we picked up a few items of very old bottles and plastic wrapper trash and placed in to a bag to dispose of properly.

After a 30 minute rest we headed out on a boat to Angol Point with Jenny checking regularly that I was okay, that I was equalizing and that I was comfortable with the experience. It was a 1-2-1 dive so Jenny was able to focus on my entirely, we swam around large corals teeming with life and swam along the bed, where I saw my first nudibranch, 4 in fact (only ever seen them in photos).

I finished the experienced so relaxed, confident and happy that I will now undertake my Open Water certificate.

Watercolors like to keep their dive groups small, to offer the best experience, and it certainly worked for me

Amazing dive experience

It, was my last days in Philippines and I did not plan to make more than 1 or two dives, but... I made five and felt lucky to find the WaterColors (station 3).
Everything was perfect - from natural tasty coffee , new and quality equipment to the friendly and helpful crew of the boat. WaterColors, station 3, have a very professional team of dive masters. A great part of my exceptional dive experience was due to my dive master - Bo. The water temperature this season is not high enough but we made long dives together, so by the end I felt myself an integral part of this wonderful underwater world, full of life and having its own laws and values. Unforgettable experience!

GREAT EXPRIENCE

Sir Jim and Sir Thomas were both very professional and knowledgable instructors. During the pre-diving exercises, they made sure that I am comfortable in everything I do as a first timer in scuba diving. I was scared to do it in the beginning but after a couple briefing and safety practices I felt safe because of the professionalism of the instructors. Couple tips for people who will book WaterColors in the future: make sure to scroll and read all the way down their instructions before going because there has been a lot of instances where people go to their old location which is at Station 3, but they have already transferred in Station 1.

We booked a discover scuba diving session with watercolors through klook. We were a group of 4 friends and all of us had never done scuba before. However, the watercolors staff was amazing and extensively described the methods and skills used to effectively do scuba. A special mention for Sandra who was lucid yet effective in her explanation of the essential skills and tips which would be useful to us as amateurs. This definitely helped all of us a lot while underwater. Even underwater (while doing the scuba activity), Sandra and her team guided us brilliantly and even clicked some wonderful pictures for us to take back as memories. Definitely recommended to other travellers for scuba activities.

Cannot thank our dive master Sandra, and photographer (/second instructor) Jenny enough for a fabulous experience. From the very beginning we were made to feel welcome and at home at Watercolours. It was a 15 minute stroll along the beach from station 2! The information given was easy to understand for beginners (as we both were) and super informative re the equipment, what to expect and safety measures. We were a couple and had an instructor with just ourselves, also as a tip they can provide photos and video at a cost, but again pictures were great and Jenny was also an instructor so basically we had an instructor each!!!! Cannot praise the whole process of the experience from booking, to communication and actual dive enough!!! Highly recommend!!!! 5*s.

Two nice dives

Popped in to the shop on the off chance of diving next day , explained I would like a wreck dive, Jenny was very helpful, explained that I could go out with Bo on a ship wreck the next day . Enjoyed the dive so booked up to dive the next day with Bo on a plane dive with coral garden . Really friendly people.would loved to do more dives but had to go home . See you again soon

The safest and best diving experience - even for beginners!
JENNY IS THE BEST INSTRUCTOR!!!! Even during the briefing part, she was already so fun to be with and what I appreciate about her is she was very thorough and specific with her instructions. She knows that even we’re newbies and quite nervous, she always believed in our capabilities which ultimately led to us not giving up and seeing the wonders underwater. Such a magnificient sight to see!! 🐟🐠

I’m super glad that Jenny was with us all throughout because she prioritizes safety and it’s very evident that she’s knowledgeable in her craft so whatever happens or whatever question you have, she knows what say/do.

Thank you Jenny and hope to see you again soon when we come back! 🧡

Exciting and exhilarating water activity

This was an amazing experience. The first time both my girlfriend and I went diving. Jimmy was extremely knowledgeable, funny and patient. He was very knowledgeable and guided us along the whole way. Truly the perfect instructor. We were able to see coral reefs and beautiful marine life. It’s really a personal experience and you’re not just a number in a large group during this tour. Everyone was incredible and I highly recommend WaterColors.
