We did the 3D2N tour Tumpak Sewu waterfall - Bromo - Ijen tour from Malang and it was an amazing trip. First of all, the communications with Sofyan went very smoothly and we got a costumized package. We could choose the accomodations ourselves from a list. We arrived very early in the morning in Malang from Jogjakarta with the night train. At the train station, our guide Sigit and driver Hendrik picked us up to start the trip. We enjoyed this trip so much! Sigit was an amazing guide! He took us to the spots where there were less tourists. Sunrise at the crater of the Bromo volcano was magical! Hendrik was also an amazing driver and very friendly! At the end of the tour, the ferry and drop off to our next hotel in Bali were organised as well. If you want to see the highlights of Java in a short time and you don't want to stress out about the transfers and guidance, we highly recommend this tour. We would definitely book the same package again.

We recently ventured through East Java’s awe-inspiring landscapes, visiting Ijen, Bromo, and Tumpak Sewu. This was made all the more memorable by our guide, Theo, and driver, Bams. Theo is incredibly accommodating, providing a pace that never felt rushed. His wealth of knowledge about the area made each location come alive, enriching our overall experience. Bams, our driver, delivered excellent service. His attention to detail is unmatched—from ensuring no sudden braking to keeping the car immaculate even after our muddy hikes in Ijen. Cold water bottles were always within arm’s reach, a small but crucial touch. Both Theo and Bams exhibited excellent manners—polite, respectful, and always opening the door for us. We had a fantastic time exploring East Java’s natural wonders. The whole trip was seamless, thanks to Theo and Bams. We highly recommend this experience and look forward to adventuring with them again in the future. Would rate 5/5, without a doubt.

Thanks for the tour. It was amazing. I fell in love with Ijen. We were on the injen at dawn and it was an exciting adventure. We also went to look at the blue fire and sulfur excavations. We really enjoyed the tour, especially because of our guide, he was very friendly and always answered our questions.

We left from Surabaya airport where our legendary guide Yogi and driver Faid were waiting for us. They were great and super helpful with every request we made. The views are breathtaking, although both routes are quite crowded in August. I recommend bringing at least some wind jackets because it is very cold at the top. Personally, I preferred Ijen because the summit can be reached by trekking for about an hour. Unfortunately, the blue flames were not seen because it was temporarily impossible due to government regulations. In any case super recommended!!

Took the tour Surabaya - Rainbow Village Jodipan - Waterfall Tumpak Sewu - Mount Bromo - Ijen crater - Bali (+ Madakaripura Waterfall) This tour was the highlight of my whole trip in Indonesia. I was pushed out of my comfort zone because the trails were not that easy for me and I was quite afraid at times. However our guide Agus was very very helpful, caring and reassuring. He lent me a helping hand on tough areas and thanks to him I was rewarded with the prettiest of views and sights to give you shivers. Big thanks to him and to our driver Yudi, without whom this trip would not have been the same. They are responsible, amazing and i feel lucky to have met them. Thanks to Sofyan who is very reactive and provided us with various informations even the last minutes changes. The organisations were all perfect, from the meeting point in Surabaya, the hotels and the drop off in our hotel in Bali. This trip is unforgettable. The pictures are captivating but nothing beat the human eye and the experiences / feelings can never be photographed. I totally recommend this trip.

I can honestly say that this has been one of the best experience in my life. I was solo travelling for the first time in my life. A bit anxious, but the guide Theo and driver Rizky never made me realise I was alone. We were like friends travelling to these places. I really enjoyed the long drive and java is so beautiful that I didn't even sleep in the car. I would surely recommend this trip if you want something to remember forever. If you ask me to do this again - 100% yes I'm in. These 5days in java with theo and Rizky were the best decision I took travelling in Indonesia. And don't forget to try tahu isi in Java ^⁠_⁠^

We had the best 4 days we could ever have asked for. Our tour guide Arie made every single day so special and absolutely unforgettable. He was the best guide we had while travelling. The itinenary was perfectly organised so that we saw all the highlights with a minimum amount of people. Also our driver Risky did a great job and we could always ask for a quick stop. The accomodations we stayed at were all very nice, clean, with a good breakfast and close to the sightseeing spots. All together it was an absolute dream and we can fully recommend it.

We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide and driver. Virdan was great and Bayu is the best driver in Indonesia. We felt very safe in their hands and enjoyed their company. The places we saw on this tour are incredible. The only downfall is that the accommodation we stayed in at Tumpak Sewu (Artha cottages) was below average. We thought that for the price of the standard tour it would’ve been better as we didn’t choose the budget option. At Artha cottages our room was right next to a water suction system and we were upset because it would’ve stopped us from being able to have a good sleep. We went to reception ourselves to ask if we could change rooms but we were told that there wasn’t any other rooms available. We could see that Virdan was trying his best to help us and he handled the situation well, but another representative from Java Adventure Trail told my friend multiple times to drink wine so she could sleep which we didn’t think was appropriate. In the end we were able to move rooms. Overall, we had an amazing time despite the fast paced nature of this tour.

We did a tour to Ijen from Bali and it was a great experience, we highly recommend it. The booking process was seamless. The highlight of the tour was our guide Hamid! He knows every spot of the volcano as he used to work as a minor. He made our way up in the dark easier, showing us where to walk and where to stop for great views and photos. As a bonus, he takes really good photos too. We went down the crater and again we couldn’t have done without him as it is tricky going down. He literally held my hand many times to support me and I finished the tour without any falls :) Apart from the panoramic view of the lake, we saw the blue fire 🔥 and we also saw a beautiful sunrise in the best spot! Our drivers Agus and Wahyu were also great! Mount Ijen is a beautiful place! The only thing I would change if I was doing again is my shoes. I wore normal runners and I found them a bit slippery, especially on the way down. Wear proper hiking shoes if you can ;) or ask for Hamid as your guide and he will hold your hand and you won’t fall.

We did as a couple the 5D4N trip from Yogjakarta to Bali with stops in Prambanan, Borobudur, Mt. Bromo, Kalibaru, final stop in Sukamade beach and drop-off in Bali. Overall, the experience was amazing. We saw plenty of what Java has to offer in terms of nature and culture. Mt. Bromo and Sukamade were the two main highlights where we could not believe what we were experiencing. The trip is quite intense and requires hours of traveling by car, train, jeep and boat. Although demanding, you get to see an incredible amount of Java. We had superb support from the guides and drivers, especially from Mt. Bromo to Sukamade. We were guided by Faruq, an experienced and knowledgeable guide that went above and beyond. We really enjoyed because of him a local and authentic experience of Java. Bams, our driver, is an extremely skilled driver that could safely take us to any place in the shortest amount of time. We had a great adventure and we will never forget this experience! In our next trip to Indonesia we will definitely have a look at the other trips that are available.
