- ivanfernandod3730 contributionsBest day in YogyakartaWe had a perfect day in Yogyakarta thanks to Ardi. He drived us to both Borobudur & Prambanan temples and explained much of the history, culture and the Indonesian customs. Also we were able to taste the famous Luwak coffee. Ardi’s mom, if you read this, be proud of him, he is helping connect the world’s peoples. Thanks Ardi!Written September 10, 2024

- peggyang8680 contributionsA view worth killing for.Well!! For this trip, you must be ready to have sleep less nights. This is the itinerary that we have designed. There are three o four parts to this day activities. *Bromo 简约* *Outfit: 外套🧥,heat tech, 长裤*👖 Wear sport shoes. 📝 12.30am leave hotel and head towards the village where we had breakfast box while wait for jeep. the jeep is for 5person per unit. But they also have the 6persons type. Up hill is pretty amazing. You might consider staying at the hill instead of the long journey. When we arrived there is a need to wait for the gate to open. There are plenty of coffee shops but toilets is chargeable at RPH1000 each time. By 4.30am we can go to the viewing spot which is about 10minutes easy walk the slope. The scary part for me is the path is dark and volcanic sands is slippery. Please make sure your legs are strong and your shoes are suitable. Then go. Some of my friends said you can crawl in or shuffling using your backside. You will be amazed by the sky and the lights. The peace of nature. I just manage to walk half the way but worth the view. But nature is dangerous if you are not careful. So py attention when takin photos because nobody really pay attention to the danger except onlooker like me. It's a must do activities. Stay safe The next stop, breakfast with nature. Read my next review on this.Written June 5, 2024

- DDKAfamily0 contributionsGreat private day tour!We did a private day tour with Jackie, who took us to some of the main sights in Bali: rice terraces, temples, volcano, and more. It was a packed day, because we wanted to cover a lot of the highlights in a limited time. Jackie was helpful in designing and prioritizing our itinerary, and very thoughtful in making sure we saw everything we wanted to see. He also did a good job of explaining what we were seeing. We highly recommend Jackie for a private tour of the beautiful island of Bali.Written May 12, 2024

Ardi took the time to organize everything together a couple of days before the tour and drove us to both temple sites. He also bought us a Kopi Luwak to try at a place he knew. Very talkative guy. Do overall recommend.Written April 25, 2024

We had a great day out with our guide Damar. He picked us up perfectly on time from our hotel at 3.30am and after visits to Setumbu, Borobudur, and Merapi dropped us off in the evening at Semarang. The whole experience was smooth, friendly and efficiently organised throughout. Recommended with thanks to Ardi and Damar.

We had a great day with Ardi, who led us to the 2 temples from Yogja.
We thought we hired a driver but it turned out that Ardi speaks very good English and is very interesting, which allowed us to discuss a lot of things during all the trips. We strongly advise you to use his services, he was great and left us all the time we wanted. He even made us stops buying souvenirs and coffee, and helped book our massage for the evening. A big thank you!

Everything went perfect. He was a perfect driver and during the trip we enjoyed a lot discussing about Indonesian culture, food and so on.
Amazing day tour at Borubudur, Prambanan, We also went to a coffe factory to taste the luwak coffe and we had a typical lunch in a warong.

Ardy is really the best! Since the first meeting, he knows exactly how to make you comfortable and counts you as a friend instead of a client. He helps you tailor the tour as well. During the tour, he shares his knowledge about the rich culture and history of Yogyakarta and Java in general. We also discussed about the philosophy of both temples after the visit. I definitely recommend this tour!

This is a great tour to visit multiple places in just one day! I never felt rushed and the restaurant they took me to lunch was delicious with a beautiful nature view.
I traveled to Yogyakarta alone but I felt safe with this tour company. They communicated well with me from the booking until the end. My driver Hotma was very friendly, and was a safe driver! He even offered to take me to the airport after the tour to save time from the rush-hour traffic!
Thank you for your service once again and I really enjoyed visiting Yogyakarta!
Just a note, this is a private tour with just an English speaking driver. An English speaking guide is available at each spot you visit for a reasonable price. They helped me understand the history and culture of the temples. You can also choose to go without a guide too.

First to say that our driver, who we then hired as a guide Ardi was fantastic and made the difference between "another b***** temple tour" and a very enjoyable day.
Both Borobudur and Pranbatan are excellent temples to see but, if like us you have seen Ankor Wat and temples ad-infinitum in Thailand and Sri Lanka it can get a bit of - you have to do it but .... If you haven't then you must go see them.
Within the tour you pay for an English speaking driver. Ardi clarified this on the way to Borobudur however he is available for hire.
This guy knows so much! I said to him before we started - 90 minutes here will be all we need. However he took us around the 1st level and told us the story of several of the panels and related it back to both Hindu and Buddhist beliefs AND today's issues. He is a Muslim so enlightened us a lot about common Islamic beliefs also.
We spent 3 hours there and I am sure that if I asked him, he could have spent 8 hours telling us interesting stuff.
We then went to Pawon Temple. This is not interesting but the civet cat and coffee was really interesting.
Final call for us was Prambanan Temple. Again a really spectacular temple and again Ardi knew so much.
Unfortunately we went in the last week of the Java school holiday so the place was absolutely packed with Indonesian families. The crowds were fine and the people amazingly friendly. The traffic however was a big problem.
The clouds cover meant that a trip to Merepi Volcano would have been a waste of time, and anyway we had spent so much time at the temples that it was irrelevant anyway.
Beware - we bought combination tickets for both temples at IDR1,250,000 for 2 people. With the price of everything else in Java so cheap this is a bit of a shock but when you convert it into £, Euro or $ it is not too expensive and extremely good value actually.
Final words - Ardi is incredibly knowledgeable and very interesting. Nice guy with a great attitude. Worth every penny.

Very well rounded tour. I had excellent communication from booking till the end of tour. My guide was Ardi, one of the best guides I've met. He was punctual and very easy to communicate with. He is a careful driver and you can also hire him to guide you through the temples. His stories are very detailed and inspiring, he will show you best places to take photos and give you advices where to buy souvenirs. It's never boring with him :) He also explained me a lot about everyday life in Java and it's history. As he knows all the great places on the route, we stop to try some fruit and latter to grab a vegetarian lunch. He helped me better understand local customs and perception of foreigners, which helped me relaxes, since I've been traveling alone.
Ardi can also help you about other tours in the area and also is a good option for airport transfer. You can arrange with him the best option for you - how much time to spend where etc. Oh, and he is an excellent photographer :) Thank you Ardi for the great experience :)

Took this tour as a female solo traveler and it couldn't have gone on better. Dani spent the day with me showing me around Yogyakarta as a friend would. He is kind and jovial and made many recommendations based on what I wanted to see though we didn't get to do them due to the rain. When I shared with him that my Borobudur guide (booked at the temple) was quite bad (disinterested, spoke only a few lines in the entire HOUR even though I asked him many questions!) he took it upon himself to share everything he knew about the sights so it wouldn't happen again. :)
Thank you JB & Dani for the smooth & comfortable booking experience - will definitely re-connect when I return to Java!

Hello, we are 2 people interesting to tour 1/2 day 17 August and 1/2 18 th of August. Can we book a tour with pick up from airport?
Written August 12, 2019
I wanted to ask if we can do two day tour instead of all in one day.
We are a group of 6 adults and 2 kids.
We have two full days and we wanted to know how much it would be to hire your services for the Borobudur and prambatan temples. And anything else’s we should see the two other temples or something else that is interesting.
Thankyou

Hi, I looking to book this tour for the 23rd of November, but it requires a minimum of 2 people, is there anyway I can book it for one person?
Written October 11, 2018
I booked 1 person (myself) and they allowed. It is SIC tour and combine with other guest from other hotels.
Written October 11, 2018
Hello,
1) Approximately how much do the excluded items cost (temple entrance fees and jeep rental)?
2) Is credit card payment accepted?
Thanks,

I plan to travel alone to Jogja. So how much do I need to pay for the 4x4 jeep to travel to Mt Merapi? The 4x4 will pick me alone or will be sharing with some others traveller?
Written June 21, 2018
I forgot the exact price but it wasn’t expensive and not a big deal. I traveled alone so I had the 4x4 all to myself. I also tipped the driver since he worked hard to make sure I was having a good time by taking picture in different photo spots and explaining the volcano history in English.
