We booked a 4-Hour Hong Kong City with Jacky in May 2023 and had a great time. Jacky is very knowledgeable and provided lots of background on the history of Hong Kong. Moreover, he took us to places you usually wouldn't find or go to as a tourist. He even invited us to authentic Hong Kong meal along with milk tea. Ashley did a great job showing me around Hong Kong and she was friendly, nice, and really knowledgeable about HK culture and history. Before I arrived, Ashley checked with me and customised the tour to suit my preferences. From the moment she picked me up at the airport, time flew by in between anecdotes, food (she’s an expert on local food and knows all the best spots) and highlights of Hong Kong: it felt like I was just strolling around with an old friend! We managed to cover so much in 6h, and she made sure I was at the airport at a convenient time for my next flight. Thanks for such an unforgettable experience!

I booked a full two-day Hong Kong (HK) tour with Jacky in February. He customized the tour to suit my preferences to focus on culture, history, and food. Jacky is a fantastic and friendly tour guide! He is extremely knowledgeable, provided a well-paced commentary on a lot of historical/cultural information and answered all my questions with outstanding explanations. I learned so much about HK (and more)…past, present, and future…that you will not read about in guidebooks, Google, etc. All in all, it was a great 2 full days in Hong Kong. Jacky also went above and beyond - for example, he noticed that I was wearing knee sleeves/braces and took it upon himself to get us access to drive up to the Tian Tian Buddha/Big Buddha vs. climbing a lot of steps. Very thoughtful! I highly recommend Jacky as your HK tour guide.

We had an excellent time on this guided private tour with Jackie. We communicated extensively regarding possible COVID restrictions which was helpful to me since things were changing rapidly. Our guide met us at the Arrivals Halls and we took our journey in a comfortable vehicle. Jackie made it interesting for our children too for whom it was their first time in Hong Kong. I feel like we learned things that I didn’t know during our prior trip 15 years ago. Bonus was that he took pictures for us! Highly recommend and worth the VIP experience.

What to do with a full day in Hong Kong between debarking a cruise ship and an evening flight? Spending it with Jacky Wong of This is Asia Tours was one of the best choices of our entire trip. Jacky met our party of five at Kai Tak Terminal exactly where he said he’d be with a luxurious van that easily accommodated our group and all our luggage. After asking what we’d already seen of Hong Kong (our ship arrived the previous morning) he suggested we make a stop at the Kowloon Public Pier for a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour and a brief history of the city. Though we had been on two shore excursions the day before, Jacky provided a much more thorough explanation of why and how Hong Kong came to be. He is incredibly knowledgeable and articulate and also exhibits a great sense of humor, which made spending the day with him a highlight of our trip. From there we headed to Lantau Island while Jacky described the development of the current airport and supporting infrastructure. As we neared Disneyland and I expressed interest, Jacky immediately exited the freeway for a quick “drive by” of the park resorts. Then we proceeded to Tai O, the highlight of our day. This picturesque fishing village of stilt houses, canals and pedestrian lanes is about as different from the bustle of Kowloon as one can possibly imagine. And Jacky knows it like the back of his hand. He introduced us to many of the shopkeepers and restauranteurs as he explained the delicacies produced here and encouraged us to sample them. We had an extensive walking tour including two temples before stopping for lunch at a canal-front cafe where Jacky ordered for us based on our preferences (including beer!). A subsequent stop at Triple Lanterns Cafe allowed for a thorough discussion of the current politics and prospects of Hong Kong. Jacky was very forthcoming and insightful and we found his unique perspective very enlightening. Tai O was definitely a highlight of our entire trip thanks to Jacky. I can’t imagine we would have enjoyed it nearly as much had we ventured there on our own. From Tai O, we drove to visit the Big Buddha and affiliated temples, which were quite crowded due to it being the first day of the lunar new year. Along with all the technical information about the site, Jacky provided the historical significance (or lack thereof) of this recent attraction completed just prior to Hong Kong’s transfer from the U.K. to China. Following a spectacular and very full day, Jacky delivered us to the airport, where he accompanied us (and all our luggage) into the terminal where he directed us to the appropriate ticket counter for our homebound flight. Subsequently, he emailed about twenty photos of our day together, several of which are posted with this review. When I began looking for a transfer tour, I was really only looking for a way to spend the time between leaving our ship and an evening flight. This was a great way to see so much in a short time. Jacky, our guide, gave us such thorough information on culture, history and current information. The dim sum dinner was delicious and enlightening! The junk ride to see the lights was the most spectacular way to see the city at night. Jacky made sure we were informed, entertained and safely returned to our port terminal. A perfect experience!

We had just ended our 14 night cruise and Jacky was waiting for us where he said he would be. From the day we booked Jacky, he has been in communication with us. His vehicle was clean and large enough for our parties over packing. He brought us and our 11 bags to our hotel first to store luggage. We are all fit, well traveled and wanted to see Macau. I had no idea anything about Macau other then it was a place to gamble. It turned out to be way more interesting than that. Jacky lead us on a walking tour and educated us about so many details. We stopped for lunch in a Portuguese restaurant which was amazing. Then off to the casinos. Jacky was amazing! We never felt rushed or out of time. We all felt like he was our friend in a foreign country. I would highly recommend using Jacky again!!

I love Hong Kong and have been there before but my prior trip to Lantau was with a bus full of people on a dreary day. We couldn't even see the Buddha on my first visit. This tour was just a few friends and our guide, Jacky, who made every moment fun and interesting. It was a beautiful, clear day too. We also did an evening tour of markets and food vendors where we tasted some local snacks and had dinner at a restaurant that only a local would have been able to find.

It was a perfect day with Jacky, we started in Hong Kong, then we went to Lantau to the big buda, and we continue a gastronomic trip in a fish and seafood market, to end in the view of the city in twilight, it was a fantastic day wih my son and Jacky

My Partner and I, with friends, recently used the services of This is Asia Tours for cruise ship to Hotel and Hotel to Airport transfers. Everything was well handled: good clean vehicles, pleasant drivers, and on-time service. Jacky was an absolute pleasure to work with and quickly responded to any questions or changes in our arrangements. The best use of your time if you want to cover Lantau island efficiently. We arrived early morning to HK airport and went directly to the tour. Jackie was very nice, reliable and helpful. I would highly recommend him. His van has tourism access to the roads and you cover a lot in a morning.
