    Just do it.
I actually went on two Foodie Tours: Central, as well as Sham Shui Po. For me, food is one of the biggest parts of travelling, and we went to places that I never would have gone to on my own. It was a great learning experience with knowledgeable people and fantastic food. And as food is such an important component of Hong Kong life, I learned a lot about the city and how it's changing. Very much worth it.

    The World of Tea
If you are interested in Chinese culture, then learning about tea is a must. I was in Hong Kong for two weeks, and this was certainly one of the highlights. Cecilia is very passionate about tea and is talented at sharing her knowledge about this very big subject. The experience has opened up a new world for me, which I'm grateful for. It also made visiting the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware in Hong Kong Park quite fun.

    We went back!
Ed, our amazing, gracious guide was so knowledgeable and gave us so much insight. Not only about the food but about the locals, the area and the way its changing. The food selections were all so delicious, we went back to almost all of the restaurants we visited on the tour for meals later in our trip. Highly recommend.

Fun and delicious way to learn about HK!
This is a great food tour! Ed was our guide and he's amazing. He's really friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. He made sure our entire group was engaged and interested the whole time. Each stop featured food that was both delicious and relevant to Hong Kong. As first-timers, this was a great way to get the basics of the city's food and culture. Ed shared information beyond just food, which was helpful and much appreciated. I think this is a great way to spend an afternoon as you are both eating and learning at the same time. Great experience!

    Food Tour with background information
I was going for the food Tour alone and met Ed who is a fantastic tour and food Guide. He likes to talk alot about his city and provides you with alot of detailed information while you can enjoy your food. It was very interesting to also get a look behind the food kitchen and experience how the food is actually made and how much Work the people Put into this. Ed knows alot of people and trys to keep the little Shops and kitchens alive by making people more concious about what is happening in Hong Kong. He also gives you the chance to ask as many questions as you want. I would do it again! Best regards Robin

    Tea Tasting and Brewing Tour
Cecilia is amazing guide. She is very passionate about her tea tasting profession. I learn a lot about tea in 2 hours than in years of drinking tea. And she always gives positive feedback. That there is no wrong or right way in serving / drinking tea. You can be complete nervous wreck and still able to brew a nice cup of tea. This tea tasting tour is new, available from last Christmas. Give it a try, one does not have to be a regular tea drinker to enjoy the tour

Dirt cheap food that doesn’t lack taste….
Tai po market food hall….. what an experience… several food units, serving traditional Hong Kong fast food, try the won ton beef brisket noodle soup… it’s amazing, alternatively I recommend the fish ball, fish skin noodle soup…. The soup broth is tasty…. The won tons are packed full of meaty goodness, the beef so tender and flavourful…. With the fish balls, you can’t go wrong with the ever popular ingredient for noodle soup…. But for me it’s the crispy fried fish skin, I was reluctant at fish to try but what can I say, after the first taste it’s pure addiction, even try soak it in the soup broth, the skin remains firm and crispy… don’t know how they do it but it’s worth it…. Like all market places in HK you need to be quick, often you share tables with strangers, all looking for that quick bite…. Hussle and bustle of HK food markets it’s what makes the experience, but ultimately it’s the price that leaves you smiling…. For a bowl of noodle soup you’ll pay $15-20 HK which equates to £1-2 gbp…. Feed a family for less than £10…. You can’t do that in the UK…. That’s why I love HK and it’s food

    An exciting tea-tasting experience
I have taken part in tea-tasting sessions in various Asian countries, but Cecilia's experience was absolutely unique. Not only does she share her knowledge with great humour and professionalism, but what makes the session exceptional is that she gives us the opportunity to learn how to brew the tea by ourselves. In this way, we were able to experiment with the dosage of the tea, the different techniques for pouring the water, and we were able to taste the results and note the differences in taste of the multitude of teas she offered for tasting. I enthusiastically recommend tea tasting to all curious tea lovers.

    Amazing!
If we could rate it higher we would! Ed was amazing. He was informative, knowledgeable and super easy to talk to. The food was a great mixture of noodles, meats, dim sum, tea, bakery and dried fruit. Something for everyone! This is a must do! Highlight of our trip. Thank you Ed!

    Food lovers tour
Our guide Ed took us on a culinary, cultural, and sight-seeing tour of Central and Shuen Wang. The tour showcased a variety Hong Kong cuisine from long-established places, some of which have been run by a number of generations. Everything we ate was excellent! Highlights for me were the wonton noodles shop, roast meat restaurant, and preserved fruits shop. I will forever compare future consumption of wonton noodles and BBQ pork based on what I ate during this tour 😊. The tour was enhanced by stops along the way at temples, markets, and landmarks and the history of the two districts.

    Very enjoyable afternoon
Despite living in Hong Kong for many years, there were still plenty of things we discovered today thanks to our brilliant guide Ed. Almost 4 hours walking around Central and Sheung Wan, discovering little gems, listening to historic secrets and tasting Chinese specialties.

So enjoyable - a delicious afternoon out!
This was such a fun day! Lillian was an excellent tour guide, it was just the two of us and she was delightful company and brought me to lots of places I would never have found myself, as well as explaining their history and cultural significance. Between dishes there was plenty of history and fun facts about the different neighbourhoods we passed through. It was a great insight to Hong Kong food and culture, even for those who think they know it all!

Our guide Carrie met us at the entrance to a subway in the Sham Shui Po area and took us on a very interesting and quite delicious food tour. She knows the area well and obviously enjoys sharing her knowledge. We had straight from the oven pineapple bun (it melts in your mouth), then long white rice rolls with a variety of seasonings (like white rolled up pasta but better), then freshly made tofu pudding. I normally don't eat tofu but this was like a thin yougert in ginger juice and tasty. We then tried two different dumplings - pork/cabbage and pork/watercress both of which were good most likely due to the presence of lard in the meat mixture. We got to go to the back of the Eight Angels bakery to meet the owner and try several crunchy cookies - yum! The last stop was the only bust in my opinion but a must for locals who enjoy fish soup with shrimp roe - way too fishy for my tastes. During the entire tour we were wandering in and out of different markets selling all manner of interesting items. Do not miss this tour!

Loved this tour! We had some free time in Hong Kong after our China tour ended and we wanted a guide to the local eats. This tour was an excellent choice! We had such a wide range of foods to sample, never too much to fill us before it ended. We were also guided through markets and we were told how the locals live, work and shop.
We were given a booklet to review what we had eaten, in case we wanted to order it again. Thank you very much for a great experience!

Had so much fun exploring a new area with Carrie. She made us feel right at home in her home District. Don’t know if I’ve ever had a guide so knowledgeable about food, culture, and daily life. I would take this tour again and will visit the places she showed us.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour from start to finish. Cecilia was a great storyteller and I like what she shared with us — authentic, delicious, heartwarming dishes produced by the local community. I highly recommend this tour and would like to try the other tours next time I am back.

This tour is far, far more than just a tasting tour. It is a cultural tour of a neighborhood by someone with a real passion for her culture AND food. Carrie was an excellent guide and made our HK trip extremely memorable. Very glad that we did this. Highly professional, well organized, even providing a map so you could re-walk the trip later. Hong Kong, btw, is empty and you will be treated as a king in your hotel, so plan your visit. We had no issues.

A fascinating tour around a local neighborhood. We got not only to taste very traditional dishes, but also talk to the charming owners and watch them preparing the dishes in their tiny kitchens. We walked through markets, with our delightful guide pointing out interesting items and explaining some of their history. We even got to see some knife sharpening in the back workshop of the kitchen utensil shop. Highly recommended as an authentic insight into real Hong Kong living.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I was by myself and ended up being the only person on the tour, and while this could have been awkward it never was. Kari (I'm so sorry if that's the wrong spelling!) was an excellent guide, and I really appreciated all the extra information about Hong Kong she included, besides just what was relevant to the food. And the food was great! It was a good way to try foods/restaurants that I might've been too intimidated by otherwise.

I had a blast today enjoying all the yummy food and interesting stories at Sham Shui Po. Even though I had been to HK for many times, but today's trip made me appreciate the generations of hardships and relationships. It made me learn about the life of the HK local people and how they helped one another through difficult times. Thank you my tour guide, Cecilia for this exclusive tour. Appreciate your professionalism to give me the most valuable experience! Did 3.5 hours just flew by! Oh my gosh.. didn't even realise that. :)
