- 952barakl0 contributionsTip-Top Bikes for rent, Great tour!Awesome tour. It was hot and muggy, but still what a treat! Who knew that Hong Kong could have such beautiful trails? Anyway, our guide was super informed and was able to discuss a bit of the history and the fun things about the area. Thank you!Written October 1, 2024
- 490mindyr0 contributionsSaw HK natureWe had a great time with Rory! The hike was moderately difficult but not too strenuous. We saw beautiful views of the beach, snails, and boars. We ended the hike on the big wave beach which was a nice quiet beach with stunning views. We loved seeing another side of Hong Kong and hearing from Rory about the local nature and wildlife. This is a good way to get out to the city and experience some of HK’s nature.Written August 20, 2024
- Vacation521277694020 contributionsBest Views In Hong KongGreat hike!! The first mile or so is a killer up hill and crazy humidity. Once you are at the top the views are incredible and it becomes alot easier. Tristan was a great guide. I would definitely recommend this when you want something different from the city tours.Written August 11, 2024
- ritnidcm0 contributionsNature and the DragonOur hike of dragons back was so good in many ways. First our guide Sean was very informative and in touch with the local HK culture. Every step of the way he was giving us bits of knowledge and fun facts. He was also aware of our well being when it came to slippery locations, steep ness, and even my shortness of breath while being out of shape, lol. It was me, my wife, and another couple from Australia who hiked together and I couldn't ask for better partners for the day! The views were stunning, the weather was overcast and really gave a tropical vibe. So much natural beauty we received in a short time frame I would highly recommend Sean and his company for your tour of Hong Kong!!! 10/10 !!!Written August 8, 2024
- Vacation318985086660 contributionsAn amazing experienceActually it is our first time to kayak, and at first, we were a little afraid, but it turned out quite good! And our leader Keyne is really nice, he takes almost everything into consideration for us, and he totally allows us to fully enjoy ourselves as long as it’s safe. And we knew about the Wild Hong Kong from Keyne, it’s a great team, and the guides are all very nice and friendly. So if you go to Hong Kong and want to do some hiking or anything close to nature, Wild Hong Kong must be a good choice for you!Written July 23, 2024
- Jet378405514910 contributionsA great hike with beautiful views!A great hike, with beautiful views! The tour guide Ran, was personable and provided excellent information about the area and Hong Kong. We saw some wildlife, and Ran explained them in detail. The weather was hot, but the hike was lots of fun. We ended at Big Wave Beach and took a swim in the ocean to cool off. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a little exercise and see the beautiful countryside outside of the city!Written July 7, 2024
- Sightsee282712550790 contributionsAn Experience Not To Be MissedI went on the Ma On Shan Climbing adventure. Even though I've travelled quite a bit, this experience was totally new for me. For one thing, it provided me with a totally different perspective of Hong Kong, as we often think of the country only as a bustling city. I was the only person who signed up for this package on that day, but Rory still paired me up with a very experienced and patient guide Tristan - which indicates the reliability of Wild Hong Kong. The entire experience requires a reasonable level of stamina and fitness, as described in the Wild Hong Kong website. The experience climbing up to the top included different types of terrain, such as steep (almost) vertical climbs and narrow trails through dense bushes. However, the reward of getting to the top makes it all worthwhile. I was fortunate to be there on a day when the overcast was low, so we were engulfed in cloud for most of the time and what an experience it was walking on Cloud Nine, literally! On clearer days, aviation lovers would be thrilled to see planes not too far above them making their approach to the airport. The walk down also provided beautiful scenic views of some country parks. Overall, this is an experience one wouldn't want to miss, especially those who love hiking and the outdoors. Just be sure to bring lots of water and snacks for the hike, and I cannot stress the importance of having a good rest the night before and good shoes.Written April 28, 2024
- Reneepayne0 contributionsAmazing hike and experience!Had a great time on this hike, led by Tristan, who is very experienced, friendly, and an excellent hiking guide! Rory was so helpful in organizing the whole thing, very responsive over email and went out of their way to make this happen for me. I would highly recommend Wild HK and will definitely hike with them again next time I'm in HK! Thank you Rory and Tristan!Written April 20, 2024
- KevinCN6485XY0 contributionsDragons back hikeBoth my wife & I really enjoyed the dragons back hike, Sean was a great guide and interesting guy to talk with on all subjects, especially watches, dogs & sport. Got a little wet towards the end from a downpour/ thunderstorm but that added to the adventure !Written April 20, 2024
- rahul_rnr0 contributionsFirst time Kayak experience in my lifeIt was a really fun adventure. Our team was of 6 members including guide Sean. It took around 3 - 4 hours to return back to where we actually started. Sean gave us all instructions for our own safety. The pickup happened on time at the metro station. Then we took a bust to the desired location which is quite far from the busy world. We were able to see a cave on an island and rested for some time in some remote place. It's mandatory to bring some additional clothes, else you have to go wet. Also keep a hat because the heat will be tremendous while on water. But the water will be very chilly. I really recommend it as I enjoyed it a lot.Written April 1, 2024

- 437jacquelinew0 contributionsGreat glimpse into stunning Hong Kong natural environmentPre tour communication with Rory was spot on. We discussed our expectations/abilities & he recommended the Plover Cove Hike & Bike tour. What fun we had with friendly guide Tristan as we cycled & hiked the area. We had a fabulous day, & I would definitely recommend this tour to see a different side of bustling Hong Kong.Written December 29, 2023

My family and I did a kayaking trip to tje Ung Kong islands with Rory. It was a tough day's work. But a fantastic time with amazing views. You won't believe that you're in Hong Kong. Highly recommend all Hong Kong locals to give it a try. You'll discover a part of our city you never knew existed. Deserted sandy beaches. Unique rock formations and caves that you can explore and even go through. Keep up the good work Rory.

Today I have had the third tour with Wild Hong Kong through the beautiful Sai Kung area with Tristan which turned out as a private guided tour. He was an amazing and knowledgeable hiking tour guide which felt more like hiking with friends. The highlight of the tour was swimming at the beautiful beach during our break! Would definitely come back for other tours and highly recommend it to others. Good job!

Alex took our family of 6 on the Sai Kung Beach Adventure. Wild HK was communicative and helpful prior to our trip getting the tour organized. Alex brought us to Sai Kung and was an excellent guide. He gave us various options once we were on the trip and allowed us to craft the perfect day. The beaches and location were stunning, we are all very happy to have found this tour company to include as part of our trip in HK.

Wild Hong Kong is a must for curious and intrepid travellers. Hong Kong is typically known for its city, but Wild Hong Kong challengers that stereotype. Hong Kong has to much to see and the tours I've done with Wild Hong Kong allow me to see the best places.
The Sai Kung beach tour was incredible. Even just after Typhoon Mangkhut, me and Rory the tour owner went out to Tai Mo Shan waterfalls. It was a more tricky adventure but completely manageable and a unbelievable visit to the Ng Tung Chai waterfalls.
Highly recommended - most travellers don't see what Wild Hong Kong shows us!

I was reading a book named Haunts of the black Masseur by Charles Sprawson . That great memory of swimming near the Sai Kung beache is just refreshed again .
For some unknown technical reasons ,tripadvisor never published my former review .
I had this trip last August guided by a lovely local girl named Rachael. Been living in Hong Kong for two years before and working as a tour operator in Shanghai , I know that it’s always hard to find some perfect tour experience in the big cities .
Hong Kong is a city with over 70% percent land covered by mountains ,rive, sea and all the natural resources .
As a big fan of swimming , the experience in the Victoria Park is already great enough for city dwellers .But the heat, the parched atmosphere and non-existence of pools is what I was looking for .
The ultimate ecstasy when you’re hiking around full of sweat longing for a natural beach and dive straight in . I don’t know how to descrpe it . I’m still haunted by the intense exhilaration trying to swim to an island and discover the inner peace .
Walk around with bare feet without worrying being burned by the sunshine .The sand covered on your skin makes the sweat smell even better .Taste the sea water and you absolutely forget all the concerns of your daily life .
I lost my octopus card . My hat blown away . The skin did get burned . But I’m happy as a 7-year-old kid as the first time he was taken to a swimming pool . I traced back the deeply rooted love of life in the permanent adolescence. That’s way more than a short vacation.
Thank you ,Rachael ,for tolerating my reckless behavior .You’re the best local guide I ever saw in Hong Kong .
And Rory , please keep bringing tourists more of these fantastic outdoor sports experiences .It’s a shame to see how undervalued your company is .This is a unique personality of the city .
