Do not get mixed up over the Plaza First Lounge and the Plaza Premium Lounge. The former is more upmarket and seems to be newly rebranded to a First Lounge. We used to be able to access the lounge at this location but the Plaza Premium Lounge is now about 50m away.

We arrived after 5am and the lounge was quite empty. Breakfast is only served from 6am, though you could get snacks and beverages.

The crowd started to pour in soon after 6am and it became pretty crowded. Food-wise, found the layout a little confusing.

Siew mai, part of dim sum, was served near the salad section whereas rice rolls, also part of dim sum, were served at a totally different section and had to hunt for it.

Variety of food was alright.

Seatings seem to not be as comfortable as previous lounge so if you are looking for a place to nap, might not be too easy.

I had a 10 hour layover and decided to make a reservation at this lounge. The booking process was friendly, professional and had a personal touch.

When I entered the lounge, I was pleasantly surprised. The overall appearance was very nice. There were several different seating areas tailored to the need, so you could rest, work, and eat in a comfortable way.

The food was ordered through a QR code on the table and that worked fine. I was satisfied with the choices and enjoyed some tasty Asian food. There was also a very good espresso machine making a great latte macchiato.

The restrooms were kept very clean. The cleaning person was very active and everything looked spotless.

A real treat was the shower. I made a reservation at the reception and when my slot started, the shower was ready to be used. It was definitely a good experience and something I can recommend taking.

Throughout, the staff was also very friendly and helpful. I will definitely consider this lounge again.

Normally all the Plaza Premiums are packed here at HKG. I normally visited the one at gate 40, on this visit my flight was near gate 1 so came here.

On this weekday around 11 am the place was pretty deserted as the whole airport has been experiencing dwindling travelers count due to more and more flights got cancelled and countries getting more restricted due to widespread infections worldwide.

The lounge accepts Priority Pass without problems.

Food on this visit I had the benefit of both breakfast and lunch items. Their famous XO sauce fish balls/cakes noodles are always good. There's also salads, siu mai, cheung fun, porridge. Beer, coffee bar, tea stand, juice etc.

Charge outlets are everywhere. As usual good place to hang out before flights.

I’ve previously stayed at the plaza lounge at Changi airport and have always had amazing food, customer service and there seating is truely comfortable and spacious. I thought I could expect the same in Hong Kong but that’s definitely not the case.

The receptionists vibe towards me changed as soon as I asked for assistance due to a lower back/hip injury. The first thing she tells me is that i’m not allowed my trolley, I then see she let asian couples bring their trolleys in. Their actions made me feel more like a nuisance then a welcomed PAYING customer.

The food is also extremely basic especially for what’s supposed to be a “premium lounge”. The food stalls are better and have a wider range and are quiet cheap.

The bathroom amenities are really nice but it’s the smaller details you really notice and in my case there was mould all in the corners of my shower.

The furniture, as pretty as it may look is also extremely uncomfortable. Great for tiny people but not so much for taller people.

Hard to class this as a lounge let alone a "premium" lounge...... It is very small and crowded and more like a fast food place you would find in a shopping mall. Had to wait almost 10 minutes just to get a seat for the 3 of us. We were all looking forward to a nice warm shower after a 9 hour flight from Sydney (transiting to Bangkok) but the 3 showers were locked and had to get the keys from the front desk which was extremely busy so we decided not to bother at all. Also hard to relax as there were just so many people waiting for a seat. So we just had some food and left :-( it was frankly a waste of money and we would have saved a lot if we just went to a food court somewhere in the airport.

The lounge itself was fine. I was, however, less than impressed by the attitude of the staff. As an HSBC UK World Lite card holder with Lounge Key and free access to lounges, I didn’t appreciate to be told that I was going to be charged USD 30 for my stay. When I questioned the member of staff who misinformed me, I was simply told that ‘nothing is free as electricity, oil, and gas need money’!

Well... I am telling you for a fact that you were wrong! Please educate your staff! Please don’t patronize me! Please learn some manners!

After lining up for 20 minutes in a Q that hardly moved, I decided to switch from the lounge at gate one to the lounge at gate 40.
Arriving at gate 40 the lounge was closed !
Walking back to gate 1 I noticed another Premier Lounge between gate 33 and gate 35. Once again after standing in line I was told that my Priority Pass card was not recognised for entry as they don’t have an agreement with Priority Pass . This was not what I was told when I bought the top tier Priority Pass. Complaining to staff with a don’t care attitude was very frustrating.
I don’t recommend Priority Pass and less the “ premier “ lounges.

Sure, Covid-19 is out there but to limit service to this level is robbery. First, yes, no Star Alliance lounge is open at HK airport, one must buy entrance at one of the other two open lounges. Food is super limited, drinks as well, sallad meny serviced in plastic glass, sandwich is tiny. We had 11 hours between our flights and my behind was in pain when we left due to the hard chairs. USD 200 is what we spend to spend our time here. Yeah, we are crazy but anyways- this lounge have showers. Summary: $200 for a shower, poor food and limited menu, very limited with drinks (no Whiskey either).

i spent $234 for 6hrs in this lounge. i had access to their sleep cabin for 2 of those hours which was freezing from the AC, i could hear the employees talking the entire time ehile trying to rest. rock hard couch with a thin throw to sleep with.
the food and drink was basic.
had the most uncomfortable chairs, no reclining chairs or quiet areas.
$234!!!!!!! never again

Staff are helpful and nice. very limited choices during Cov19. in general, good place for you to recharge and eat. the coffee machine is easy to use and having a cup of nice coffee is a relaxing.

The bathroom and shower room is clean. and they would provide hand sanitizer and lotion
